good talk

More boards in the water than you can shake a stick at.  Elizabeth Short, the Black Dahlia, was staying at the Hotel Cecil prior to her demise, Richard, Ramirez, the "Night Stalker", was staying at the Cecil while doing his thing, a woman "27", suffering marital problems leaped from the Cecil, killing not only herself, but a pedestrian trying to walk past.  Hotel guests staying at the Cecil just prior to the discovery of Elisa Lam, sued the hotel, as the water they had been drinking had more body to it than they wished.  In Jan., 2013, Elisa Lam left Vancouver, B.C., and her family, to do a solo Ca. trip on Amtrak and Greyhound, prior to arriving in LA on Jan. 26, she had posted pictures of herself at the San Diego Zoo.  On Jan. 28, she checked into the Hotel Cecil, as most young people do, Elisa was "21", she went the inexpensive-route, and shared a room with strangers, after 2 days, and complaints from her roommates about her weird behavior, the Hotel gave her a private room.  On Jan. 31, the same day she went missing, a bookstore manager described her as cheerful and outgoing, Elisa had mental illness which thru medication was kept pretty much under control.  On Feb. 19, 2013, Elisa's body was found in a 1000 gal. water tank, one of 4 on the Cecil's roof, she was nude with her clothes also in the water.  One could bypass Security Measures on getting to the roof, easily via the fire escape.  But hotel personnel needed a ladder to get to the lid, one of 2 of the 4, that were unlocked, and both raising and closing the heavy lid after you would be difficult, and Elisa was frail.  No ladder had been seen against the tank from the time of Elisa's disappearance to her discovery.  If Elisa had wanted to kill herself, she wouldn't be thinking, huh, I'll bet there's a water tank on the roof with an unlocked lid, I'll take off my clothes and jump in, where can I find a ladder, and to where did the ladder go.  The Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled it an "Accidental Drowning".  This happened fairly-recently, and almost everyone working or staying at the Hotel Cecil then is still-alive, Us'n want the LAPD to do their job, Flatfoot, hit the pavement

good talk

There's a new mini-series, "Horror at the Cecil Hotel" (...a magnet for dangerous people...), I've stayed there.  I stayed-there thrice for a couple days each time, and during its salad-days, when all these things were going-on.  The "Hotel Cecil", 600 rooms, advertised on the Sports Page of the LA Times, during the times I stayed-there, it morphed from a Black Ghetto to a Hispanic Ghetto, I never had any problem, what are they going to do, gnaw my elbows.  It was a pretty-good room and a central-location, I'd go there on my Greyhound trips, I had no car there.  I'd take the bus and go to art museums, sporting-events, whatever, I thought the place was pretty-good.  What, in 2013, they discovered some Asian girl's decomposing-body in a cistern on the roof, ha, from which everybody had been drinking water, just the thought sort of turns one's stomach.  One Sunday morning, and it was Father's Day, I went downstairs to get some Eats, there was a lunch-wagon that was often there, and all these Black guys were saying "Happy Father's Day", to each other, I'm not laughing at it, I'm laughing with it.        20 years ago, I was in Phoenix, going to my car, and one of these 2 guys, said, we're Cheyenne Indians from Oklahoma, could you spare something so we could get something to eat?  I gave 'em $5, it spent a lot further back then, they seemed pretty-good, big, husky, not destitute, just temporarily in need of repast.  But that's how come I know that there's Cheyenne in Oklahoma, (from memory) on the Trail of Tears (also called, the "Long Walk", as it was from Georgia to Okla.) there were Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, but apparently since they've added another "C"

good talk

Do you think that every passer-by should kick me, as tho I were a street dog,  is this what you think?

good talk

I just read that North Korea wants to mess-up South Korea's upcoming Winter Olympics (yes, it's getting to be that time), those killjoys.  I was watching a bit of the figure-skating on TV this morning, Mariah Bell, boy is she fine, I think she'd like me, get-together after the Olympics.  Her middle-name is Cheyenne, she was born in Oklahoma, Injun?

good talk

I saw "Dunkirk" at Tropicana Cinemas (Trop and Pecos, $2, $1 on Tues.), it was pretty-decent, the menacing-sound of the Stuka Dive Bomber. I saw it a week-ago Tuesday, packed with others of my kind wishing to avoid those high-prices.  Last Nite I went to La Mesa to see Helix (6-1, Reggie Bush, Alex Smith, Chuck Cecil), ranked 2nd in football-rich SD County, play West Hills (entered 5-2), from nearby Santee, at the end of the 1st Quarter it was 38-0, Helix, I was expecting a good game.  It was Helix' Homecoming and they had a few thousand, not so many for West Hills, they had special-food for the Alumni, they were saying where is Scott (Scott's Mom, Patty, worked for long at the nearby humongous and loaded Ray and Joan Kroc's Salvation Army, Joan was a good woman).  At the end of the 1st Half, it was 45-0, they've introduced something recently where if a team is down by a whole-lot at the end of the 1st Half, if the losing-Coach agrees, they'll run the clock continuously in the 2nd Half, it never stops, the game-ended 59-0, Helix' last 3 have been this.  I was disappointed, I wanted to see a real game.  This teaches the Kids, if things are going real-badly, just give-up, sending them in the direction of the Homeless.  After the game, they had a lengthy, very-impressive, professionally-done, Fireworks Display, this cost 15 thou

good luck

I have 4 times the number of recent Hits from Russia as everywhere-else put together, Vlad, you keep this up and you're going to find-out what is going to happen to you

good talk

If some claprattle Osteopath had acted untoward me when I was "13", I would have told my parents immediately, and thunder would roll (my Old Man), I don't mean the next day.  Ha, why would McKayla think that she had to put up with this so she could be an Olympic gymnast, one doesn't follow from the other.  What about all these other disgusting-things she did, those have nothing to do with this guy.  McKayla's love for Ed grows and grows, a spreading-fire that burns and burns.  This is the 4th time this has happened to me, a real nice-looking girl tries to give me a good impression of her, only to turn-on-me and be real-mean to me, and giving me a real-bad impression (Ed is not impressed (favorably), then reverses, deciding that she can't live without me, but it's way too late, of course.  Strange doings, indeed.  McKayla, we all have to carry-on and keep on living the best we can, good luck

good talk

Vlad has redoubled his obnoxious-efforts, hey, I'm not kidding.  What are you (American Readers) laughing about, you belong in jail.  When I was a little-boy, I had a real close friend who also went to St. Sebastian's, his father was an M.D., he lived a few houses up the street.  My Mother was always saying to my Father  ...Tommy Joe is a bad influence on Ed...  and I was scared I wouldn't be allowed to play with him.  His mother later recalled us as  ...the terrors of the neighborhood..., we weren't that bad, but I can think of a few things I'd like to undo, fortunately, I reformed.  But you people (I use the term loosely) are incorrigible, there is no hope.  When I was in 9th Grade at Paul W. Litchfield Jr. High (when Akron U was so good in basketball when my Father was there, Mr. Litchfield, the CEO of Goodyear Tire and Rubber (a town in Arizona is named for him), invited the team over to his mansion for a Poker-Party, my Dad won $l7, a windfall for a college-guy in the Depression, what, probably all the guys won a little), I had 2 good friends.  Scully dropped-dead about 6 years ago, the interesting-thing about him was, he had an extensive and very-good collection of antique-firearms (his Dad was a big in the rubber-industry), old flintlocks, had a 1854 Navy Colt .44, and Vaughn is also dead.  Bob was a good-athlete, he would talk to the most-popular girls, he had a presence.  He and his wife were in a car-accident around Jacksonville, Fla., she died the same day, Vaughn died 2 weeks later.  Both sort-of turned on me, and learning they were dead was no skin off my nose, but I wouldn't wish Bob's fate over some perceived-slight on anyone, you'd almost be better off not to have been born-at-all, daresay, it's a hard luck world

good talk

Half my Hits recently are from Russia, Vlad, you silly old bastard, leave me alone.  If these women were so offended by Harvey Weinstein, I would think they would have brought it up decades-ago, when the offences occurred, that is, if they're decent-women.  This is a big money-grab (Gretchen Carlson) by no-good greedy-bitches, and their lawyers, who are also this

good talk

In September, 2011, Green Berets, Capt. Daniel Quinn, and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, beat-up a powerful Afghan Police Commander, Abdul Rahman, for kidnapping and repeatedly raping a 12-year old boy, who was kept chained to the pervert's bed, for this, the Army wanted to give both a Dishonorable Discharge, as the American Soldiers had-been told not to interfere in the Afghans' deviations, that those were none of their business.  Only due to the uproar over these injustices, did the Army reverse-itself, however, while Sgt. 1st Class Martland continues in the Army, Capt. Quinn resigned

good talk

I went to the 24 Hour Fitness at 5035 W. Tropicana, and I saw that old Black guy, who reiterated ...What a dump... best we can do at the moment, it seems.  Last nite, I saw UNLV play San Diego State in football, beautiful-evening, short-sleeves plenty good,  the Aztecs are mighty, they beat Az. State and Stanford, but was "only" a 10 point favorite over UNLV, and won 41 to 10, the Rebels played them even for a quarter before caving-in.  All these, ha, angry-looking guys heading for the exits, eh, it was pretty-disappointing.  I thought for sure, last year, that the Indians would be warding-off November's chill with a thick-layer of beargrease, not so, but this year, with that pitching-staff, it could well-happen.  Heh, I saw Terry Francona's Old Man, Tito, play for the Indians.  That thing with Cam Newton, where he had to apologize-effusively (?), none of the ones he throws to, that is, who run routes, are female, so that might have struck Cam's funny-bone, you can't even talk anymore

good talk

On Sunday nite, I was comfortably ensconced in my apartment, a half-mile behind Mandalay Bay, I didn't hear a peep, in May, I left close to the Arena, 3 hours before, this is God's Wrath for being so-evil (a guy is a great-telepathist, so everyone should be real-mean to him?) to me, you have reason to fear Him
