good talk

In the old comic-strip, "Pogo", there was a Cricket whose only comment was  jes fine   This is informative, Mike, yeah, the same Mike, and his friend, Chris, recently went to Yellowstone, both had been there before.  They wanted to go in the Winter, and only a relatively few are allowed-in.  Mike said that in places there was 2 feet of snow.  You can either go in some Vehicle with a Guide for $125 a day per person, which is what they did, or you can go in a Snowmobile with a Guide and that's $200 a day per person.  He said that they saw all kinds of animals and lingering that you wouldn't see during the Summer, this is due to the paucity of people.  They saw Bison, Wolves, Elk, and as the Guide said, the rarely seen Red Fox.  Mike's Dad was a Hunter, and took Mike hunting all-over Nevada.  They hunted mostly birds and small game.  Mike didn't want to hunt at all, kill these animals, and he said it gave him a slight hearing-loss.  At his Father's insistence, Mike once took a deer, and I could tell that he feels bad about it ...It was just standing there...  Some of the things we learn from our Parents we shouldn't.  I went hunting twice with a friend of mine who'd been a Lieutenant in the Airborne Rangers in Vietnam, he had killed a lot of people and been wounded himself, and he was as wild as they come.  He was thickly-muscled, not from working-out but just the way he was, and he had been a football star in high school.  He's the only one I've ever known who was good at Sports, War, and Business, he had made a lot of money and he was all of "25".  I told Mike that had the animals known his past there'd be no lingering

Of course, I still really like McKayla, and was thinking about taking her back, but I'll let sleeping dogs lie.  She's a Great Gal and I expect her to do really well.  Some of the TV women seem to like me, strangely none have come to the fore, previously I gave an e-mail and a P.O Box address but none have written, there's some strange stuff going-on.

I've been nominated?  It looks like Joe Paterno and Penn State are getting back those 111 Victories, to make Papa Joe's total 409 yet again.  It had been hard for me to visualize the Nittany Lions having a competitive advantage in football by Jerry Sandusky's anal intercourse with those boys.  Some believe that the Mormons are trying to make Mitt Romney more palatable to the Masses by seemingly accepting Gays.  Mitt seems like a pretty-good guy, but one should only be allowed a Major Party's Nomination for President once, should he be unsuccessful.  Adlai Stevenson, a divorced-man in the 50's, a hole in his shoe (although this could have been shown to depict him as a frugal administrator).  If I had a Gay Child there'd be an impasse between us, there's never been anyone like that in my extended-family.  I bought Mike's Car, a 2000 Toyota Avalon, Toyota's top of the line, with only 100 thou on it, in perfect condition all the way around, exterior, interior, mechanically, for a "preferred customer's price," we've been friends for a long time, I've done good stuff for him.  Mike is flying to Bangkok next week for 7 weeks in Asia, he's been there a lot and even has friends there, he has a lot of friends.  When I go places, I don't know anybody there, I see the Good Things and every place has them, and then push on.  I have no interest in hanging around, to me that would be boring.  I've been in 118 Countries, so where is it that I should be going this Spring?  I'm tired of doing the Same Old Stuff, I want my way-overdue Good Recognition by the Public.  I noticed long-ago that when I've gone somewhere in the U.S. that I've never even been before that everybody knows who I am, and they say bad-things about me.  This is due to the Cowardly and Low American Mass Media.  Everybody gets what they deserve in their LifeTime and so will they.

good talk

Time doesn't exist, we're born, we die, this and everything else is jumbled together.  And events can be changed, at least I can do this.  I decided that I never want to die and have been working in this direction (doesn't seem very glamorous).  Due to my lengthy and impressive body of work, Ed should be nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics

"Foxcatcher" was finally showing closer than 20 miles away and I saw it.  The screenplay is, hmm, okay, the acting is real good.  It's a Man's Movie, go with your buddy, man, it's sad.  I saw Deontay Wilder win the WBC Heavyweight Championship, I thought Bermane Stiverne did pretty well, I didn't think he was shut-out.  He avoided being knocked-out unlike Wilder's previous 32 opponents.  Perhaps do better on another night.  The first Heavyweight Championship Fight at the MGM since the "Real Meal" Tyson-Holyfield in 1997.  Congratulations to the 4 UNLV Undergraduates of the "Accounting REBEL-ation" Team who Dec. 17 won the "2014 American Institute of Certified Public Accountants" Competition in D.C. over 139 other College Teams.  Last Week at the gym I heard Gregg Allman's "I'm No Angel" which I hadn't heard in years, that sure is a fine tune.  They often play that 70's Drug-Music which we all like so good.  Our Yoga Instructor is a real-nice little S. Korean girl, Jeannie, who works at the Cosmopolitan in the VIP, she also teaches a few Yoga Classes.  On Sat., at the end when they have you lay on your back with your tongue stuck to the roof of your mouth for best-breathing, Jeannie was playing a violin-duet called "a Secret Garden," a man and a woman violinist, that sure is pretty, I could listen to that all day.

Recently on TV there's been this thing about the Wild 80's in Miami.  Some White American who was heavily involved in the Cocaine Trade is saying that the top guy in the U.S for the Medellin Cartel was some little Colombian guy who used a lot of his own product and would be talking to him with drool on the corner of his mouth, and that despite his condition was doing tremendous business making him wonder how well "someone who was fairly sharp would do."  A lot of the narration is by this Colombian guy who's obviously quite intelligent and who looks like a middle-aged upper executive, who's been in prison for decades for amongst other things having done 50 Hits.  Scott is going to a dentist for a root canal who has previously done a root canal for him and his dental assistant, a friend of Scott's, told him that she had walked-in on this guy while he was snorting a line (eh, USC Dental School).  I asked Scott why would you want this guy, ha, ha, working on your teeth, and he said that his previous work was good and that he figured he had built-up a tolerance.  It's hard for us to believe that anyone would be so spastic as to knock-out Tiger Woods' front tooth. Upbeat for the Woods, is that Geico Commercial featuring Icky Woods, they've shown that so much that Icky must be making a fortune from the residuals, good.  I was at the Silver Bowl in Nov., 1987, when Icky playing for UNLV became the NCAA's Rushing Leader for that year.

I shouldn't have said that "pain thing" in reference to McKayla, there's far too much pain in the World, there shouldn't be any.  McKayla is a great gal.  Pretty McKayla, smart McKayla, I'm a warm puddle.  Soon I'll be getting Mike's car, a nice-looking auto, no doubt some comely Wahines will be interested in going for a ride, so let your interest be known.

good talk

Mark Helfrich and Oregon had a great season but were in against a Maestro, Urban Meyer is a very-accomplished person.  None of Ohio State's offensive linemen were individually all that good but played with cohesion and blew-out Oregon's defensive front 7 in the 2nd Half.  Zeke Elliott is a great back but somebody's grandmother could have gained yards through those holes.  Cardale Jones can play most positions and another coach would have utilized him thusly, but Urban kept Cardale a reserve-quarterback.  Cardale is "22" or "23" but needs more seasoning.  Eli Manning has gotten the Giants to 2 SuperBowls, winning them both, it didn't hurt him to be at Ole Miss for 5 years.  Ryan Leaf and Heath Shuler left after just 3 years and flamed-out.  It was telling that Junior Seau's personal nickname for Ryan was "Baby Boy."  In the recent S.I., Joey Bosa's Old Man was complaining that the "19 year-old" Joey would be picked in the top 5 of this Spring's NFL Draft but has been in college for only 2 years hence being ineligible.  Sounds Unconstitutional to me but that's how it is.  Another year at Ohio State, maybe Joey can learn something, also the Bucks have made Joey, who was only rated a 4-Star, a better player yet.  Young Joey has an interesting pedigree, his great-grandfather was Tony "the Tuna" Accardo, who ruled the Chicago Underworld for almost 50 years.  Tony was also known as "Joe Batters" as at Al Capone's behest he had clubbed 3 "traitors" to death with a baseball-bat (didn't similar crop-up recently in one of my Blogs?).  3 guys who broke into Tony's house (somebody said, I never saw him so mad) were found castrated with their faces blow-torched-off.  Joey looks like a real-fine young man, a nice face with good hair, and I'm sure that such tendencies have faded after 3 generations.  I wouldn't cross his Mom, Cheryl.

I just collected the $3500 I bet plus my $6475 winnings and deposited this dough.  Scott also played the Bucks on the MoneyLine plus taking them with the points, he won twice.  Not too much this bet because it's not enough, but I've bet 10 thou and that makes you gulp, it's very exciting.  It takes a certain courage to bet a large amount, Gambling Builds Character.  I'm available to expound on this Inspirational Morality as the Speaker at upcoming High School Graduations.

good talk

On Thursday, a Happy 50th to Bernard Humphrey Hopkins, Jr., do you believe the guy deserves a Presidential Pardon for his 6 youthful Felonies?  I'm watching tonight's College Football Championship at Scott's house.  His parents are there and they're having me over for dinner, isn't that nice?  All 3 are very nice people, I don't just say it.  Scott is rigging his TV so that it runs the Game continuously leaving-out commercials and the half-time.  That is, I'll be seeing the Game after that part of it has been over for an hour and 15 minutes or so.  That should work-out pretty well.  I saw "The Interview" at Tropicana Cinemas at Trop and Pecos on Friday, and it was very funny.  The only place it's being shown in Las Vegas is Tropicana Cinemas, and it only cost $2, $1 on Tuesdays.  I go there all the time, the movies are usually those that have been out for 6 weeks or so, plenty of parking, the place is neat.  Afterwards I go to the Wal-Mart across the street to buy a week's foodstuffs and other items, then I hit the Post Office hoping that my mail hasn't been stolen, this is often my Friday routine.  When I was little, growing-up in Akron, there were a lot of Buckeye Trees, and I would often play with the buckeyes, the immature buckeyes were white.  Naturalists tell us that not only are there no Wolverines living today in Michigan, none ever have.

good talk

This million-person demonstration in Paris was stupid, that's like locking the barn-door after the cow's been stolen.  It was inevitable that this would happen, it'll happen again throughout Europe.  I saw this coming a mile away.  Why would President Obama be there locking-arms with those Silly European Leaders?  As President of the United States he has things to do.  Barry might have sent his dog to be his representative and those Silly Europeans could carry it.  Just prior to what happened in Paris, there were mass-demonstrations in Germany against Islam's Influence in that country and throughout Europe, with even more turning-out for counter-demonstrations, saying that Germans and Others should be open-minded and welcoming of Muslims.  Germany was bombed into the Stone Age during WW 11, leaving Today's Germans a brick shy a load.  I'm half-German, my Father's parents immigrated separately around 1900, on my Mother's side I'm half-British, people who immigrated around 1650, the English were also heavily-bombed during WW 11.  Nobody that I'm descended-from had this done to them,  the Bombed-Ass of their forebears was not the Experience of Anyone that I come-from.  This is why the Europeans are so Nutty.

good talk

While my Father was Overseas during WW 11, a girl who had wanted him would always be sending him cookies.  You don't want some other girl sending things to your husband, my Mother referred to her as "Cookie."  Like so many, I've toured "Graceland" and that was really-good, the Tour ends at the Graves of Elvis and his Parents, Vernon and Gladys.  And I've been to the house in Tupelo where Elvis was born, I think a big complex, now, then, just the house.  The "Shotgun Shack," so called because it was only 2 side-by-side rooms, I don't mean bedrooms, rooms.  Elvis' twin-brother, Jesse, was still-born, and is buried in Tupelo.  When Elvis was young, his father, Vernon, went to prison for about a year for Forgery.  Some deal where some guy gave Vernon a check for something and Vernon thought it should have been more and he put a "One" or something in front.  Nothing too bad, but the Law frowns on this.  I asked the Lady who attended the house if Elvis was part-Indian as he seemed to be maybe a quarter.  She, too, hadn't heard, but she agreed with me ...He sure looked-it...

good talk

Harvey and Mike saw Elvis' Show at the Hilton in 1969 or 1970 and said that it was fantastic.  It was a dinner-show and it brought a moneyed-crowd, people from all over the World came to see Elvis.  Just being able to get-in was a big thing, Mike's uncle was the manager of one of the Hilton's restaurants and the best he could do for Mike, his sister, and his parents, was to get them Reservations, there was certainly no Comp or Price-Reduction.  And there was a huge trickle-down effect, as this Crowd gambled and spent a lot, even the Show-Room Waiters made big-money.  Harvey said that Elvis swivelled his hips saying ...I'd like to see (Tom) Jones do that...

Today is Elvis' 80th Birthday.  During Elvis' 8 year-run at the Las Vegas Hilton, 2.5 mil people attended 837 Shows with never an empty seat.

good talk

Urban Meyer and Devin and Cardale thought me a pest  ...He Hate Me...  Relax, fellas, I know when I'm not wanted, relax knowing that you can play the game without comments from me.  This morning I put $3500 on the Buckeyes to win outright, no points, no ice, no glass.  I would have bet a lot more elsewhere but couldn't have gotten the price I wanted, I was a mite dissatisfied with the price I got.  Those Quackers don't think they're the favorite

good talk

This thing in Paris was to be expected, all the Europeans are effete, the men are little girls.  The Silly Frogs have 5 mil Muslims, do you think Charles Martel would have allowed this (See My Blog for Feb. 1, 2009 and it's also on the Key Largo, which you liked so good)?  Also See My Blog for Dec. 30, 2014.  My Parents were married in Feb. 1942 and my brother was born in Feb. 1943, but by then my Father was in North Africa.  During WW 11 my Father was an Officer in Tank Ordnance in the American Army and served in N. Africa and Italy, my older brother, Bob, was 3 years old when he and my Father saw each other for the first time.  This is what me and mine have done for you Drooling Dogs.  Anyway, when my Old Man was in Algeria (a French Territory then, a Country now, I've never been there) he grew to regard the Arabs as Scum.  A Story he chuckled about was an Arab sneaked-in to trade with the Colored Troops.  Being detected and knowing that something bad might happen to him, he made a run for it.  Not my Father, but another Captain in Tank Ordnance drew his pistol (Officers carried a .45 Automatic) and shot the Arab dead.  If this guy didn't know there was a DeadLine, he found it out.  My Father said that the Colored Troops would talk amongst themselves ...The Captain's coming around with his pistol... Well, all-considering, one would be somewhat wary.  I don't think it's a funny story, as this guy lost his life when he probably just wanted to do some business, it gave my Dad a stitch in his side.  The United States is a Muslim Country, with plenty of them wanting to do-in the Christians and Jews

Yesterday, at the gym, I was using 2 80 lb. dumb-bells, standing, I don't see anyone remotely close to my age doing anything like this, I wasn't physically-mature in most ways until I got in my 50's, most of the young guys can't do this.  I've wondered if I'm going to drop-dead doing this, better die livin' than live dyin'.  I'm not saying that I want to do this.  If this happened, management would call the Health Dept.   ...There's Rotting Meat in the Free Weights Area, It's Diseasing-Up the Gym, It's Disgusting, It's Bad For Business...  They throw a hook into me and drag me towards the door, I understand      Recently, a girl about "25" at the gym has been going into the Men's Locker Room, going to the Back and using one of the Stalls.  A friend of mine has seen this and neither of us is turning her in.  I don't want her to see me butt-naked and looking at my junk, probably somebody else will bring it up.  George Groves, the Big-Name English Boxer, has as his trainer, of all people, his mother (...knows best...), giving rise to his nickname  ...Momma's Boy...

You people are so evil I've often wondered how you can stand yourselves, a teacher of mine said, isn't it surprising how often ignorance takes a pride in itself?  Today, I'm calling the ASPCA to donate $500, I always do this on Jan. 6, the Feast of the Epiphany and my paternal grandmother's birthday.  And I expect this of each of you, don't be cheap.  That Retard of Sarah Palin's standing on that poor dog looked terrible, I had never seen anything like that.  Sarah's husband, Todd, I think, is part Eskimo, well, Bristol (who looked pretty-good after awhile).  What, some Creep from Florida was stalking her in Alaska, I would have gunned-him down, better judged by 12 than carried by 6.  Don't be thinking Ed is always real-nice.  I'll soon donate that car to "Nevada Paralyzed Veterans", I don't think their national reputation is all that good but it is in Nevada and they assured me that the Vets would after expenses get a lot for it.  I'm buying Mike's 2000 Toyota Avalon, looks great and has low mileage, beautiful exterior.  It's what I want, I could pay cash for an expensive new car but don't want one.  Mike went to Yuma and bought a 2006 Toyota Van so he and his friend can soon visit the National Parks, big and has front-wheel drive, they want to see the animals, like in Yellowstone, with snow around-them (?)  Yellowstone, about 40 by 50 miles, has the most impressive surface geothermal activity in the world, I don't give a hoot about seeing the animals.  In previous incarnations Yellowstone would cruelly display the animals, say, bears chained to trees.  That van of Mike's is totally cherry, not a ding, a beautiful exterior,  9 years old, I had never seen this

good talk

Those 2 games yesterday sure were a lot of fun to watch (watched the crucial parts of FSU-Oregon, about half of it), especially the last.  Scott is at his brother's in San Diego, his brother is a long-time SD County Sheriff's Deputy, and as he's made a fool out of himself he might not be coming-back to Las Vegas.  Just kidding, he never reads my Blog, anyway, he never has once.  Nobody saw Fla. State losing like that.  When the Bucks were down 21-6, me and everyone else thought, oh, it's Roll Tide, Alabama has 10 5-Stars and are superbly-coached.  Ohio State was in a lot better condition than Bama who've been sitting-around reading their press-clippings and eating chocolates.  Alabama's players seemed fragile, constantly leaving with injuries.  Nick is great, but Urban Meyer (he and his father are named for a series of 8 Popes, the first is a Saint) is a tremendous judge of talent, say, that squatty-little Center for OSU would never have gotten on the field for Alabama.  Cardale Jones is making the most of his opportunity.  I didn't bet the Bucks in large-part because against Wisconsin, Cardale ran 8 times for 9 yards, leading me and Alabama to think that he couldn't run.  A huge-guy, his speed and power are real-good, he was dodging people.  Cardale is a 3rd-year Soph., that is, he has 2 years left to refine his technique, and he can play in the NFL, if he does that for 5 years he'll be wealthy, then he can go-on to something else.  He played for Glenville, which has turned-out many good NFL Players.  A Cleveland Ghetto School, Glenville has a lot of Pride and their Players are inclined to stick-around rather than take a Scholarship from a Private School.  Glenville often excels at Football and Track.  The Alabama Punter was Death, the NFL Guys can't do that.  He has no excess-muscle to impede his leg's movement and has steely-nerves, he looked-like a real-nice little boy.  The Bucks' Punter was spraying-it-around and needs to relax, I'm sure that he will.  I got the impression that my saying to Urban after the game, Congrats, and to Devin Smith after a long-catch, That's Great, was bothering-them, hey guys, I'm Alumni, I'll say nothing henceforth, I know when I'm not appreciated.  LeBron is out for 2-weeks with various sprains.  All the aforementioned need 2-hour deep-tissue massages, don't we all.

good talk

McKayla is in love with me and wants to be Mrs. Ed and have little Eds and in 30 years have GrandEds (why was I cursed with this manly beauty?).  To achieve the man she wants, a girl has to put her best foot forward, showing a pleasing demeanor.  A little pain is good for a girl, makes her feel alive
