good talk

Lonnie Craft, known as "Battling Blackjack," competed as a Heavyweight Boxer from 1938 to 1954 with a record of 26-15 with 19 Knockouts (had heavy hands, were he to win at all most likely a knockout).  On March 6, 1957 he met his ex-wife, Virginia, in a restaurant, her final words were that she was leaving town as "Phoenix isn't big enough for both of us."  Not one to take rejection well, Lonnie shot Virginia repeatedly.  Convicted of Virginia's murder and sentenced to death, on March 7, 1959 Lonnie Craft went to the gas chamber in Florence wearing boxing gloves, boxing shoes, trunks and a robe, a boxer making his walk for the last time.
