good talk
I saw San Diego State play Utah State and UNLV play Wyoming in the Mountain West, just a half hour in between I like seeing 2 games like that. Wyoming had some good White Guys, the Kid from Australia jumped like a kangaroo. At 1 P.M. I'm going to "Tropicana Cinemas" to see "Lone Survivor" for $2, I was told it was very good. I often go there, I know lots of people who do, Joshua is a hard-core aficionado, most of the guys I know have a lot of money and they all go there religiously. One guy takes his 2 little grandsons pointing out to them that because their tickets only cost $2 apiece that they have money for popcorn and sodas (oh the value of thrift). If you're ever around Trop and Pecos take in a flick. Recently Miami played at San Antonio and the Spurs wore jerseys saying Los Spurs while Miami was forced to wear tight-jerseys saying El Heat, LeBron said the tight jerseys affected his shooting-stroke. 3 years ago I saw Cleveland play at Oakland on Cinquo de Maya (May 5) and Oakland wore jerseys saying "Athleticos" and the door prize was an exact replica of these Oakland jerseys. They gave me one and I scarfed another that strangely was just laying there on the concrete for 2 hours unattended (I said does this belong to anybody), I gave these to guys. Now, my team, Cleveland wasn't forced to wear jerseys saying Los Indians or whatever, it sounds like Major League Baseball is better at marketing than the NBA. A friend of mine, Dick Newman, was an accountant for Baskin-Robbins and being well-liked they gave him a card that was good for a tremendous amount of free products at any of their stores. It was like the equivalent of 400 hot fudge sundaes a month although you could have whatever you wanted. He said that people with this card were often asked to host a Church's Ice Cream Social (you could use it all at once if you wished). Dick was often out of town and he said that sometimes for dinner he'd just go to one of their stores and have 2 banana splits, you people are thinking that sounds like a good dinner.

Recently Eric Holder complained that 38% of the 5.8 mil who can't vote due to Felony Convictions are Black, what are we supposed to do about it. Oscar Pastorius fired through a bathroom door, why would an Intruder be inside a bathroom with the door closed, he was going to wash his face before emerging to perform dastardly deeds? I assume they'll just let him off because they feel sorry for him because he has no lower legs. S.I. recently brought up Pete Rose going into the Baseball Hall of Fame, you can't have a Baseball Manager who bets on games, as I understand it, Bart Giamatti (a heavy smoker who dropped dead at "51") could have brought out evidence that Rose had bet not only on the Reds to win but the Reds to lose. Besides, Rose only hit .303 averaging 8 Home Runs a year, Roger Maris held the Major League Home Run Record for a Season for 37 years and was the 2-time American League MVP and he's not in the Hall, any Manager or General Manager would have taken Roger Maris over Pete Rose. The last few of Clint Eastwood's movies make no sense, "Million Dollar Baby" was a terrible movie (won for Best Picture, ha, ha). A 30-year old waitress becomes a boxer, in a big fight her opponent hits her over the head with a chair and she dies in the hospital (while she was succumbing is when I walked out). You people are horrible people, you're descending ever further into Animalism. Lee Marvin was a Marine Sniper wounded on Saipan, Lee is buried at Arlington next to Joe Louis.

good talk
30 years ago I belonged to the La Jolla "Y" where I'd go and use their Gravity Boots hanging upside down like a bat for 30 minutes without coming up, I did this a few times a week. You have to build up to it, I started out at 8 minutes and kept going, the longest I ever went was for 38 minutes, I could have gone longer but came up due to boredom. I never had any dizziness or other bad effects, I'd do stretching exercises as I hung upside down, all this was good for my back. This was done in the weight-room and some guys would make jokes about my doing this, there were those who thought that my doing this for 30 minutes was a long time. Last week I had 30 cc's of fluid drained from a bump behind my left knee, I thought this would make the bump disappear, it didn't. I have mild arthritis in my knees (well, "67" on June 25) and have Baker's Cysts behind both knees from fluid. I have good mobility and no pain but could do without this arthritis. Joshua is 3 years younger and has the same thing but due to some holistic method of his he's almost cured of what's supposed to be a degenerative and irrevocable condition. This is what Joshua claims and concerning matters of Healing I'd never bet against Josh, I'm going to have to monitor his activities so that I can learn his secrets.

When I was at Ohio State I knew Jim Davidson, we weren't friends but were friendly with each other. Jim was in Veterinary School, he said that the lower half of the graduating class would serve dogs and cats but that the upper half would work with expensive farm animals and this is what he aspired. Jim ate only meat, like an Indian, mostly beef with some chicken, this he bought for a cheap cost from the Vet School. He said that by switching his eating habits from the usual that he had almost no colds and felt very good indeed. Once I saw him having some tomato soup with his beef (never any condiments on his meat), once. Before a Final I saw Jim so upset and nervous at the prospect of not doing well that he was guzzling a quart of beer to calm his mind and put him in the proper acuity for Study. Had it been us doing this it would have put us in the proper frame of mind to fall asleep. I've known maybe 7 people in my life for whom drinking alcohol was a stimulant, a picker-upper, for everybody else it's the opposite. Jim had the most unique human physiology that I've observed.

Tell Ballmer I said that he should go jogging on the middle lane of the Interstate and make the World a better place. Ballmer's father is a foreigner, they'll let anybody in the Country. Ballmer's head reminds me of something.

good talk
Almost 2 weeks ago I said I'd talk to Scott about Facebook, I haven't gotten around to talking to anybody about it. On Sat. I came out of my Health Club around 3 P.M. and saw that all Heck was breaking loose at the nearby Food 4 Less. There were fire engines, police cars and ambulances there and arriving. The Cops were telling everybody to stay away (ok), I drove off thinking I'd read about it in the paper. It turns out that an "88" year-old woman had driven a Ford-150 Truck through the front doors, took a hard right and drove, accelerating, down an aisle all the way to the rear wall. In this chaos there were many minor injuries but unbelievably no one was seriously injured including the Old Lady. Managers were running around cautioning the Employees that they were forbidden to speak to the Media, many did anyway, one guy ....They better hire a cleanup crew 'cause I'm not doing it... (sounds like something I'd say), he didn't have the "Food 4 Less Attitude." My older brother, Bob, after the Army went back to Ohio State and graduated with a Business Degree. 3 years later he got the Federal Job that he retired from but in the interim he had a few different jobs, one of those was working at Juvenile Diagnostic Center in Columbus (reform school). He worked entirely with boys who had they been old enough would have been in Prison for their misdeeds. He said they all came from broken-homes and all had low I.Q.'s. He compared working there with going out and finding the most obnoxious people that you could and gathering them around you all day. As a respite from the everyday sometimes they would have dances with the inmate girls. He said there was a White Kid, who he said was 6'9" of all things, who tried to be a Leader and he'd tell the other Kids not to listen to him, he told me that he found this guy "disgusting." Perhaps the harsh feelings became mutual as a plot was uncovered whereby this Kid and 5 others would overpower Bob and seize the keys making good their escape. Bob thought I've had enough. A year later Bob by now was working at a Department Store in Downtown Akron and chanced upon a Black Kid who had been one of his Charges when he had worked at Juvenile Diagnostic Center, they spoke for a bit. Bob said that this Kid was different in that he had a Satanic Smile. In wrapping up this happening Bob said ....Ohh if only I had reached that boy....

Sports Illustrated compared Ashley Wagner's "gypped expression" to McKayla's at the London Olympics. Ashley's Score was what the Judges and about everybody else thought that she deserved. Ashley never has been considered amongst the best in the World whereas McKayla was the best of all-time and had a just complaint (I had inadvertently broken her concentration). My former fiancee, S.I. should think better of what they are saying.
