good talk

Recently, I was in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, for the 3rd time, and how many of you have been there, none, (you're a live-wire).  On beautiful Lake Erie, next to Browns Stadium, in beautiful down-town Cleveland, just, walk up E. 9th a bit to Indians Stadium, which is next to Cavs Arena, Cleveland Rocks.  Bill Freed, a Cleveland disk-jockey popularized the phrase "Rock and Rock", in the early 50's, and it was Cleveland to have the first big Rock and Roll Concert.  When bids were taken for the R and R H of Fame, it was Cleveland who most wanted-it, pledging 65 mil in 1986, and winning-out over bitterly disappointed suitors such as Memphis and New York.  The architect was I.M. Pei (you know, the Louvre, guy liked pyramids), and it was Dedicated and Opened on Sept. 1, 1995.   On the outside   Long Live Rock      The Colored Folks been singing and playing it just like I'm doin' now, man, for more years than I know...  ...They played it like that in the shanties and the juke joints, and nobody paid it no mind until I goosed it up  -Elvis
