good talk
I went to Citi Field and saw the Mets play the Astros, it opened in 2009 at a cost of 900 mil and seats 41,800 I'd say they got their money's worth place is plush, across a short land bridge there is Arthur Ashe Stadium which seats 13,000 and where they have the U.S. Open, I'd been to Flushing Meadows for the 1964 World's Fair which I didn't appreciate too young I guess. Luke Fickell has done really well with Ohio State considering the many adversities and they would have beaten Nebraska had Miller not gotten injured. Hopefully after the Season they're not going to do some Search and come up with another high-mileage Toad like John Cooper who they kept around for 13 years as though they were Fools, if the Young Man in Black keeps it up for the rest of the Season give him a 4-year Contract, Youth is Served. I went to Balboa Park and saw the 2 Art Museums, the Air and Space Museum all of which are really good and also went to the San Diego Hall of Champions which honors the many illustrious sports figure from San Diego, hey they've got Don Larson's Jersey which he wore when he pitched a Perfect Game in the 6th Game of the 1956 World Series, when Don was asked if he ever got tired of being asked to talk about it, No, why would I?

I've been to NewYork many times since a small child and was there 4 days during Easter Week place was a meat market. I don't want to be insulting but as i walked past the NBC Building I felt like I'd been smacked with a brick due to the Evil flowing from within, I managed to stagger to nearby St. Pat's and went to Mass, it was Easter Thursday and the place was packed afterwards I felt a lot better. I went to the Met one of the 5 best museums in the world, the best by far, far is the Egyptian in Cairo as I've been there 4 times I've probably seen all of King Tut's Treasure as well as the other fabulous antiquities except for the Pharoahs' Mummies it's not air-conditioned. Went to the Guggenheim and the American Museum of Natural History where 85% of the bones are real unlike in most where they're casts. I went to the Brooklyn Museum of Art had never been there exceedingly good of course 2nd only to the Met. Went into the "Times" Building to complain about the high price of their paper and they gave me a free one. I wanted to see the "Lion King" or "Wicked" but one would have had to have gotten tickets a few weeks in advance, saw "La Cage aux Folles" before it closed as it was gay-themed I was reluctant but really liked it, I also saw "The People in the Picture" and liked it, I've seen 7 plays on Broadway all musicals the best was "Oklahoma" oh the dancing.

good talk
30 years ago this country's roads weren't clogged as they are today, there's no more highways now than then but due to immigration both legal and illegal it's hard to get around this is your faults. I went to the Mohegan Sun I had been to Foxwoods. I went to Hyde Park to see the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Presidential Library and stayed in a motel a quarter mile away. Hyde Park borders Poughkeepsie a nice old well-preserved city which is Bart's hometown, he was unmoved that I had been there. FDR was elected President 4 times no one else was elected more than twice, he was President when we were brought out of the Depression and when WWII was won, Caesar Chavez has a Day in some places FDR has no Day anywhere. The Museum borders the main drag and from there you walk back a ways to Springwood the Roosevelts' Family House passing Franklin's and Eleanor's graves on the right. Franklin was much the product of his steely mother Sara Delano and shared her mug, she lived to see her son paralyzed from the waist down be Inaugurated as President 3 times. Of English, French and Dutch descent Franklin (1882-1945) married Anna Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962) a distant cousin whose name was this before she was married who served much as his legs during his Presidency making appearances on her husband's behalf, a supporter of Civil Rights she helped arrange for Marian Anderson to perform on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1939 during WWII Eleanor went to the Pacific to encourage the troops enduring many hardships. Springwood is kept as it was when the President and Eleanor lived there and I felt very honored to be in their house. Churchill and many other dignitaries stayed at Springwood. In 1960 there were many fatalities in Professional Boxing and Eleanor was asked if she thought it should be banned (her uncle was Teddy Roosevelt who was blind in one eye during his 2nd and elected term as President due to his love of boxing) and she replied I've always thought Prizefighting to be rather a good sport.

These Ragheads are certainly cruel, I don't see where the U.S. get off injecting itself into every fracas that comes along as though they rule the World. I was once on the Campus of Brigham Young and was in their basketball arena where I saw a girl student washing windows. I said the Mormons believe that the American Indians are descended from the 2 Lost Tribes of Israel anybody who'd believe that......Millions of People believe that just because you don't......I said most People aren't Mormons. Ima Hogg (1882-1975) was the daughter of Texas Governor James "Big Jim" Hogg and heiress to the immense Hogg fortune which increased greatly in the 20's due to oil being discovered on Hogg land. A Philanthropist and Patroness of the Arts she never married and was called "Miss Ima" and known as "The First Lady of Texas." Knowing when to get out of town is one of the most important things one can ever learn.

good talk
The few of you who have religious convictions don't seem very concerned about going to Hell. Over the past few years thousands of TV Media have been canned and have nothing to lose and everything to gain by telling the Truth for once in their lives, being that dumb is a serious problem. At the gym I go to I have 2 friends who are Veterans of WWII, Bob is an Army Vet and is 84, last week Bob rode his Harley to Searchlight and back by himself 100 miles. Bart is 86 and dropped out of high school at 17 and was in the Navy for 3 years. After the War he went to school on the GI Bill eventually becoming an Eye Ear Nose and Throat M.D. Bart said I went with the flow and the flow was good back then. He said that even the best tests won't tell a doctor what Observation will and that doctors today won't spend that necessary time. Bart said that having Gays out of the Closet in the Military will lead to endless fistfights. You can think of yourself as being Liberal until you ponder the Bohemian things that these guys do with each other, I've never done anything like that. A Gay come-on doesn't bother me but a lot of guys would be angry. I've been to Philadelphia many times it was cold as heck. I went to the very good Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was there that Rocky bolted up the front steps and exulted (...Getting Strong Now...) and they have the spot where Rocky sprang into the air marked with bronze footprints. There I had my picture taken leaping into the air seeing this others emulated including 2 teenage girls jumping simultaneously.

good talk
The National I.Q. has dropped 7 points over the past 30 years, that explains a lot, in its current incarnation the United States is akin to a glorified Banana Republic, oh to see what it's become compared to what it once was. Hank Williams Jr. seemed to think that he had to apologize for saying that Obama was like Hitler in order to save his career, in our political history wild metaphors have been a tradition as we have had the protected right of Freedom of Speech, what, you can't even talk anymore. All this is your fault.
good talk
I've always wanted to go to Gettysburg but none of the buses ran there. I slept some on the bus going from D.C. to Harrisburg arriving at 6 A.M. and got a nice rental from "Enterprise" who seem like a good outfit and drove the 38 miles. I was all over the Battlefield, the South was an Armed Camp while in the North there was never any rationing fighting the War almost leisurely. Robert E. Lee realized that the South would lose a war of attrition and that their only hope for the North to sue for Peace would be for a succesful Invasion of the North. Robert Lee is considered to be the best Battlefighter this country has had winning 6 major battles without any defeats and coming off the Rebels' greatest victory 2 months before at Chancellorsville with Lee expected to retreat dividing his army and Stonewall Jackson's Corps suprising and knocking out the Union's llth Corps made up of German-Americans (Stonewall Jackson's Flanking March), such success could never be repeated as soon afterwards Jackson was dead. The Battle of Gettysburg was July 1-3, 1863 with the Union seizing the better vantage points on July l. The North seized the Little Round Top a huge steep hill where a hundred horses' hearts exploded trying to pull the cannon to the top. There's a body of opinion that there were better men in those days compared to today as just to survive one had to be strong and tought, when the horses couldn't do it Ohioans carried the cannon to the top on their shoulders. On July 2 the Union fighting with the desperation that if they failed there all was lost held all of their positions across the Battlefield. On July 3 Robert Lee overconfident that his Army of Northern Virginia would prevail as they had before sent 12,500 men almost a mile against the Union's fortified positions while heavy cannon and rifle fire decimated them in what was known as Longstreet's Assault until 1870 when Longstreet fell out of favor and became known as Pickett's Charge (actually also Pettigrew's Charge). This began with General George Pickett posing the query....General may I advance.....to which General James Longstreet Lee's 2nd in Command gave a glum nod as he saw the futility. ......I can't tell you how funny I feel knowing tomorrow I'll see a big battle. Kind of scared inside but I'm not going to run.....Pvt. James C. David 3rd Michigan on July 2, 1863, he was killed July 3 in the Wheatfield helping repulse Pickett's Charge there were many underage soldiers on both sides Pvt. Davis was 14.
