Of course,  having been to Tokyo a few times, I've visited the Yasukuni Shrine.  Dedicated in 1869, by the Emperor Meiji, to commemorate the military-dead in the service of Japan, 2.4 names are inscribed.  It's a Shinto Shrine, mostly open-air, you can see Shinto Priests moving-about inside, and the Japanese kneel on the outside, I of course, didn't get too-close, maybe stood 30 yards away.  Absurdly, it's become a pariah for high Japanese government-officials.  Dec. 26, 2013, Shinzo Abe, the Japanese PM, paid his respects, and was widely denounced by the U.S. and other Asian countries, as among the names inscribed are 1068 considered to be WW 11 war-criminals.  2 million of the Japanese armed-forces died during WW 11, mostly the sons of the rice-farmers, and the Shrine is honoring their memory as they died in the service of Japan, it matters not if they died from bullets or being hung by the Americans, for high Japanese officials not to go here would be odd, as is the current-situation.   Go to the right a hundred yards and there's The Yushukan, dedicated in 1882, it's Japan's oldest war-museum, and it's cracker-jack.  For the most-part it deals with Japan's military accomplishments from the winning of the Russo-Japanese War in 1905, to the conclusion of WW 11 in 1945.  The lightly-armored Japanese "Zero", the A6M, made by Mitsubishi, was much the superior-plane during the War in the Pacific, until 1943, when the Americans introduced the Hellcat, and they have a Zero inside the Museum.  It had 2 20 millimetre cannons on the wings, and 2 fixed 7.7 millimetre machine guns.  In another exhibit, they had one of these machine guns displayed, gazing at it while an old Japanese guy was there, he glanced up at me with an air of experience  ...excellent gun...

LaVell Edwards, highly-successful football coach at Brigham Young for 29 seasons, has died at "86".  Becoming head-coach in 1972 at a traditionally-moribund football school, LaVell installed a dynamic passing-attack, bringing in quarterbacks such as Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Ty Detmer, Robbie Bosco, and Marc Wilson, for the trigger.  In 1984, LaVell's team went 13-0, and then beat Michigan in the Holiday Bowl, to give a Mormon school in the middle of nowhere, a National Championship.  LaVell, one of 14 children, leaves his wife of 65 years, Patti, and 3 children.  Called by Orrin Hatch  ...a humble but confident leader...  He'll be missed

The Harvard Alumni Association apologized for publishing in their report of the Awards and Achievements of the Class of 1962, Ted Kaczynski's notation  ...Eight Life Sentences...  This upset many of their Alumni.  Ted, by showing how incompetent the FBI is, them unable to stop him from bombing with impunity for 17 years, a long time, showed that they were sort-of worthless.  Should Don listen to their mindless-blabber, his mind would-be weirded-out for the rest of the day.  As President, he needs to think clear-thoughts.  I received a letter from an official at SuperMax, in which was enclosed the twenty I had sent Ted along with my Christmas Card, as he's not allowed to receive-money.  They open and examine all the mail, the letter said that he received a similar-letter regarding this, and that he received my card.  I'm flattered that Dr. Kaczynski would take my Christmas Cards for the past few years.  Perhaps, we can improve conditions at SuperMax as Robert Hood, Warden from 2002 to 2005, said  ...In my opinion, it's far much worse than death...

Russia's gone wild for me, so Vlad, hire me for a fortune, you silly old twit.  I was very sorrowed to learn of Rashaan Salaam.  From football-rich San Diego, I of course, followed his career from LaJolla Country Day, where he played 8-man football, to U. of Colorado, and then the Bears, where he became the youngest-man ever in the NFL to rush for a thou yards.  His football-career petered-out after that, primarily due to drugs, and he never got himself-together.  Recently, Rashaan took his own life at "42", not far from where he was cheered and won the Heisman Trophy  ...Sometimes things get complicated when you get past 18...

"Siegel Suites" has many properties in Las Vegas, and every one is drug-ridden.  You even see them outside, slobbering and walking-around in circles.  Wayne Allyn Root was the Libertarian Candidate for Vice-President in 2008, and he writes a nice column for the "Las Vegas Review-Journal", which I enjoy.  He's also on the radio, but I don't listen to radio-commentary.  Las Vegas has a number of big-time high school players, but none scores much.  Say, Troy Brown at Centennial High is a 5-Star, and last year averaged 19 points a game

I just came across, that Debi Thomas, who did so well in figure skating, and became an orthopedic surgeon, is broke and living in a bad state, in all sincerity, I hope things work-out better for Debi, I was sorry to learn this.  I came across this, while, out of curiosity, trying to see if McKayla Maroney, is selling songs and albums, as seemed to be her intention.  I didn't find-out.  But, not just for her, but for anybody, to make a go of it in singing, be a singing star, is unlikely, as a zillion people want to do this.  Were I she, I'd get college courses online (I sure never would have hung-around some college campus had this been available).  She's never come-across as being very bright, she might try to get some education, if she doesn't want to wind-up working at IHOP in her 40's squattyer yet due to employee-discounted pancakes.  I'm only trying to help

Tell me who believes that Japan intended to notify the Americans of their attack on Pearl Harbor in advance, as they claim, and I'll tell you the number of fools.  I don't see how the Americans would have been taken by surprise as a Japanese midget-submarine had been sunk an hour before the aerial-attack, I would think there'd be an immediate call-to-arms, that the Americans would be waiting for them.  I used to sell in San Diego, and many of the people first came there in the Navy.  3 of my customers said that they had been at Pearl Harbor (this was long-ago) on Dec. 7, 1941, while in the Navy, one of them, a Black guy, had a real-big scar on his right forearm, that he said he gotten while bringing up ammunition.  The same guy said that a friend of his, was in the brig on the "Arizona" awaiting dishonorable discharge.  Those Cuba blogs are really-good, I enjoyed reading them myself.  I just came from the chiropractor, and he got good neck -cracks outta me, and I feel-good, when there's something wrong with my body, there's something wrong with me

Don has often looked tired.  This cat's "70" and we don't want to lose him, so I'm calling for a National Sleep-In.  Nothing is better than a good night's sleep, you wake-up refreshed and full of energy.  When Gunther Cunningham was the Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, after a season-ended, he and his wife went on a little vacation, with his wife saying that the first "night", her husband slept 20 straight-hours.  Highly ambitious guys have a tendency to just go and go, but it's not good for your health, especially if one is an old man.  And your thinking is clearer when rested.  So, let's have a day every year, or more often, when everyone in the U.S. just stays in bed, only maybe getting-up to eat, make their ablutions.  You say, won't our rivals take advantage of us while we're asleep?  Nah, it'll be such a popular-notion, that they themselves will also be asleep (oh, I just checked my stats, and a lot of my recent Hits have been from Russia, as Vlad finds me intriguing, at least somebody likes me)

I've gotten lots of Hits, you're trying to get what you can while you can for free?  Sat. I saw Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High play Las Vegas Liberty High for the Nevada big school state championship.  Gorman was ranked lst in the Country by USA Today, but Liberty was ranked 21st in the Country, quite high, and had gone to Texas and whipped their 2nd best team.  So I was expecting the Liberty Patriots, a public school, to give the Gorman Gaels a good tussle.  Gorman won 84 to 8, and it could have been worse, as the score mounted, everyone was wondering if they'd hit the century-mark, you know, like in basketball.  I've been to the Custer Battlefield (Capt. Tom Custer was recognized by a tattoo),  the site of the Fetterman Massacre, and the past 2 Sat.'s, the SilverBowl

See My Blogs regarding Fidel and Cuba, May 8 to May 30, 2010.  I gotta start charging for these, you Swine have taken-advantage of my goodheart.  So far as dissension amongst Don's people, the legendary Jack Welch, under whom General Electric prospered 40-fold, would tell people ...Fight with me..., knowing the resulting dynamic-synthesis. Some years back, in the VA Hospital cafeteria in LaJolla, there was a very-large American Flag put-up on a wall, upon which were names and comments from perhaps 100 Vets.  There are no personalized American Flags, such desecration is expressly-forbidden under the Flag Code of 1942, a federal law (say, some guy can't write on a Flag, Joe Smith Big Red One).  If this should be known anywhere, one would expect, there.  Of course, such ignorance went against my grain, so I wrote of this to VA Headquarters in D.C., and the offending-flag vanished.  On the other hand, I'll be "70" in June, and I've never-seen anyone burning a flag, Bush the Elder was jumping-around, saying there should be a Constitutional Amendment forbidding flag-burning, a really wild-idea.  When all is said and done, it's just a piece of cloth

LeBron James, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, Jay Z, etc., campaigned for Mrs. Clinton, not many of the young-voters would regard any of them as their political-compass.  While Don seemed ever-serious, this made Mrs. Clinton seem flippant (what, she was onstage with Jay Z, who was dropping the n and the f word, ohh).  LeBron, who I've always-liked, and he knows-well who I am, said he was getting-out-the-vote for Mrs. Clinton as he came from a disadvantaged-situation and rose-up, and he saw her as promoting-this better than Don.  Now, the chances of a similarly-disadvantaged person rising-up thru sports and being-worth hundreds of millions of dollars, is unlikely.  LeBron's deal is pretty-unique.  He lives on an estate in Bath, by-far the best suburb of his beloved-Akron (who else did this, Jeffrey Dahmer lived on 2-acres in Bath, his father, Lionel, was a big-time chemist, and it was there that he committed his first-murder.  He picked-up some kid hitchhiking to Richfield Colosseum for a Rock Concert, I've seen them there, also where the Cavs played, they went from having the worst arena in the NBA to having the best, he convinced him to first have some beers at his house, where he bludgeoned-him, cut him-up and scattered his remains on the grounds, Akron was never stained by Dahmer's actions), and his rags to riches would be hard to repeat.  Don took 81 of Ohio's 88 counties, Mrs. Clinton didn't even take Clinton County, LeBron didn't deliver either Akron or Summit County for her.  LeBron's basketball-playin' is the best, stick to your own, homeboy

Shucks, I was hoping that Google Chrome had disowned-me as a blogger.  This uproar on Ohio State's campus, the biggest in the country, when I was there, 45 thou, and now, 65 thou, the last I heard (quite a bit bigger), is good for the Bucks.  Gets their widdle-minds off football, reduces the tension of constantly-thinking about being in the final 4.  Some crazy Raghead is always going off his nut, this will occur in the U.S., I'd guess, forever.  I'm hoping the person with the fractured-skull comes thru this well

I like to go to a college-game or 2 each season, and I hadn't.  I was given 11 tickets to yesterday's UNLV-Nevada at Reno game, I dispersed 10 and went.  UNLV was favored by 10 points and lost 45-10, a debacle of the lowest-order.  Reno was playing for their coach's job  Coach Polian is so wonderful, it's been all our fault, we're the bad-ones, not he  And maybe he'll keep it.  Intra-state rivals, they play each year, with the Fremont Cannon, an 1843, 575 lb. cannon, at stake, UNLV won last year, and painted it red, Reno, at the middle of the field after the game, painted it blue, and dragged-it off.  UNLV's coach is Tony Sanchez, a Puerto Rican, and the only Hispanic major-college head-coach, and I like him.  Formerly the ultra-successful coach at Bishop Gorman High, up to until yesterday, he had the program going the right-way, but really, Tony.  It was a lot of fun, worked-out, had a couple Rebel Dogs, pretty-good, to bring me back to life, fun-afternoon.  So, over the past 3 weeks, I've seen a high school game, a college game, a NFL game, and the Clips, as well as steeping in great-culture at those shrines of excellence.  Some of you have no healthy-interests.  Looking from the outside, I could see giving Charlie Strong another year, when he arrived at Texas, he ran-off 10 renegades, a really high-number, and probably more except you need lots of players to field a football team, it was a mistake to take the job.  Bucks showed nerves of steel, except their kicker who should be replaced, the past 2 weeks, hmm, the play-offs loom and Ohio State should be ready

The Clark County Libraries are also closed today, for "Family Day", which the lazy-bastards claim is a holiday (?).  I'm at a Starbuck's, I don't like to go online at my domicile.  Well, the 24 Hour Fitness SportClub, at 2605 S. Eastern, in Las Vegas, which I've often spoken-of, is closing for good in 2 weeks (you're upset).  I signed-on there 21 years, it was, and still is, one of the best gyms in Las Vegas (people are grouchy during the Holidays, some guy is loudly going on and on about some 40% discount he claims he's owed).  The place has character, I met a lot of good-people there over the years.  It's the only major-tenant remaining, I'm sure they're going to raze the plaza.  Ah, when one door closes ...  I sent an email to company-headquarters, asking if I could now go-to the SuperSport at Trop and Decatur, and they complied.  All I pay is $12 a mo., what I've always paid for 21 years, whereby I could go to all the Clubs anywhere in their system, but back-then there were no Sport and SuperSport Clubs, to join today and be-able to use their SuperSport Clubs, you'd pay a lot of money up-front, and maybe $50 a mo.  So this is very-nice of them, and it's just a mile and a half away.  Floyd Mayweather, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, me, many others go there, I've worked-out there once, and it got the job done.  I step-inside, it's 8:30 A.M., and they have this plush-buffet set-up, and they want me to eat, I said well, I really shouldn't, so have a taste, I just brushed-my-teeth, nice of them to ask.  When I left 5 and a half hours-later, it wasn't there, yeah, then was the time.  So, let me know when you'll be in LV, and I'll use my influence to get-you a 3-day Pass.  Scott is at his brother's, a San Diego County Sheriff's Deputy's, house, I emailed-him that once back in town, he should use his winnings to enroll at the brat-modification center closest to him, and he's been incommunicado ever since.  You people wear your hearts on your sleeves, you can't breathe around you without you bursting into tears, geez.  To smooth-things over, I wrote Scott that when we next-meet, probably at the S. Eastern gym, I have a quart of fine-beer for him as a sign of good faith

I've gotten a boatload of hits, today, I'm flattered all to hell.  I went downtown, on Grand, to the year-old, Eli and Edythe Broad Museum, in a magnificent building, with 2000 postwar contemporary-artworks in its collection.  The big-thing is the "87" year-old, Japanese, lady's, Yayoi Kusama's, "Infinity Mirrored Room", of dazzling and experiential-lights.  Only one allowed at a time, they shut the door, and you're allowed 45 seconds in there.  I'm sure I'm not the only-one who's stepped in the water, hadn't read it was there.  Being at the Broad Museum was a fab-happening.  And I went across the street to the Museum of Contemporary Art, and it was quite-good.  Went to the nearby, Los Angeles Central Public Library, just full of the homeless, I stepped into a restroom and quickly stepped-out, for fear I'd get whacked over the back-of-my-head.  All 3 of these I was at for the first-time.  The next day, I went to the Huntington Library and Museum in San Marino, bordering Pasadena.  They have fabulous first-editions of rare books from 1000 to 2000 A.D., you can see the earliest-edition of Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales", their complete Gutenberg bible, one of only 12 on vellum, and the most expensive-book in the world, when Henry Edwards Huntington bought-it in 1900 for 50 thou (railroad-tycoon, uninterested in wine, women, and song, just culture). The books you see there are mind-boggling.  They no-longer show the rough-draft of Charles Bukowski's "Ham on Rye" (See My Blog for Feb. 9, 2009, Nov. 21, 2010, Nov. 29, 2013), but do show the hand-written drafts for Jack London's "The Sea-Wolf" and "White Fang".  The great-art is mostly English, Gainsborough, Romney, others, the 1700 and 1800's.  There's beautiful-gardens, and a feature-added since my last visit, oh, 6 years-ago, is the "Orbit Pavilion" in which you can hear 24-Hours of sound from passing overhead-satellites. say, "Calipso", concentrated into one-minute--it's eerie.  One of my favorite-paintings anywhere, is Thomas Lawrence's "Pinkie", 1794.  Sarah Barrett Moulton was born in Jamaica, raised by wealthy grandparents, she was sent to England to further her education.  Her doting-grandmother instructed that Sarah's full-length painting should be produced by a master (her darling, Pinkey), beautiful, whimsical, carefree girl.  Sarah died the next year, she was "12"

I'm in the very-large Los Angeles County Library in Rosemead, I'm sure there's 150 Chinese in here, me and a librarian are the only Whites.  My Blogs for Nov. 12 and Nov. 13, 2016, don't show-up on this new laptop, hopefully you can get-them.  I went to Best Buy and they said that my 7.5 yr-old Toshiba no-longer gets the Google Chrome, so the always gracious-folk at Best Buy sold me a Dell, I asked about Toshiba and was told they haven't made laptops for a year.  Now, Toshiba probably has a lot of meat left on its bone, the battery is 100%, it's a little-slow, but works fine, if you can live without the Chrome.  Kerry, a real fine-boy of Vietnamese-descent in his 3rd year of a Computer Science program, who works at the LaJolla Library, spent a lot of time installing my Chrome.  Now, I notice that my Dell was made in China (perhaps apropos considering the milieu), but Don, maybe an American company might have them made in the U.S.  The Chargers beat the Titans 43-35, quite a good-game, in order to get to and from Qualcomm easily, everybody takes the trolley. Halfway to Old Town, there was a half-hour delay as some guy, no doubt a Titans fan reflecting on Mariotta's loose-ways with the ball, had a heart-attack.  And I saw a playoff-game, Point Loma, who had lost 4 straight, beat El Camino, who had lost 3 straight, now 4, 42-35. Yeah, I don't know why they'd be in the playoffs.  The little boy for El Camino, tall, sent the ball a long-ways with a flick of his wrist, in San Diego it's hard to win games.  Once, in "Car and Driver",  they said   ...The "Yugo" is so bad, it shouldn't be called a car...  I say this about San Diego's "roads"

My Google Chrome has been unreachable on my laptop since Election Day, somebody messed with it, were there a Best Buy close, they'd fix-it instantly, there's not.  I'm disappointed that Don didn't get more popular votes than Mrs. Clinton, that's 2 out of the last 3, he'll do a lot better than Bush, for sure.  In Ca., she got 2.5 mil more.  I was aghast throughout Election Night, as Don was squeaking-by in state after state with maybe 1% more than Mrs. Clinton, who was noble in crushing-defeat.  I guess Penn-Wharton was good enuf for Buffett and Trump (I've been on the campus, was in the Palestra, in S.I., in the old days, it always seemed like there was a big-game in the Palestra).  Mitch McConnell had a better-night than Harry, well, he delivered Nevada.  If, 2 years ago, you told people that Donald Trump would be the next President of the United States, you'd be laughed out-of-town.  Don only wishes that his parents and his brother were still alive to witness what they never would have imagined--there can be only one.  Congrats to the victors.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Yesterday, I had a laser-procedure at the VA to further-enhance my beauty.  I told the senior-doctor that I had worked-out and didn't have time to eat before getting there, she said she wanted me to eat, I said I had no money, so she gave me a five and said to go to the cafeteria, no tax, it was quite-nice.  Once again, I was offered a ball for either hand to squeeze to ease-the-pain, ohh, it's not nearly that-bad.  The young, learning-doctor, had gotten her combined doctorate in neuroscience and M.D., through a scholarship offered by the owner of the Texans, McNair. I think.  How smart would you have to be get-this, at the end of this program, she owed nothing.  She had a Nordic-name and looks, she was tall, a natural-blonde, beautiful, very-warm and friendly, married.   I told the senior-doctor (real-nice gal, known her a long-time), she should do something with her hair besides growing-it (limp)

good talk

I went to Balboa Park, as I do every-year, and was in their 2 art-museums and their Hall of Champions, sports, their other museums I've been to, the only especially good-one is their air and space mus.  See My Blog for Maureen Connolly, June 23, 2009.  Maureen was a great American, who led a tragic and short-life

I did my 200th Yoga Class, never more than one a week.  I'm gonna-see the Chargers play Tennessee tomorrow, and on the 16th see the Clippers play the other Tenn. team, Balmer, I expect a deluxe welcome for myself

good talk

Trump's supporters are fervent, Mrs. Clinton's aren't, every one of those who say they'll vote for Don, will, many of those who say they'll vote for Mrs. Clinton, won't

good talk

I was at the gym, another, yesterday morning, and was talking-with Walter Heyward, the uncle of Jason Heyward (see his contract), his brother's son.  No enmity, mind you.  And Walter, showed me a picture on his hand-device, of Jason, with a parent on either-side, right-after the Cubs had won the NL Pennant.  It was a real-nice family-picture, but all 3 wore a grim-expression, as tho there was, yet, much to be done      'tis many a slip 'twixt cup and lip

good talk

I would have liked it wrapped-up last night, was very disappointed, however, it's much-better if the World Series goes to 6 or 7 games, that is, that it's not a mismatch.  I'm very-sure that the Indians will trap those Cubs (hmmm, bear-grease), giving the Akron-Cleveland area their 2nd Championship in quick-succession, after a half-century of futility.  In S.I., they just-recounted the 1991 World Series, judged by ESPN to be the best-ever.  Hard-fought throughout, by the Braves and Twins, ending in Jack Morris' (who should be in the Hall), 10-inning, 1-0, 7th game.  Lonnie Smith led-off the Braves 8th inning with a single.  With 1 out, Terry Pendleton drove a double, and Smith would have scored had he not long-hesitated on 2nd base, as 2nd baseman, Chuck Knoblauch, faked a throw to shortstop Greg Gagne, as tho starting a double-play, when the ball was still bouncing in left field, juking Lonnie, who only made-it to 3rd base.  Baseball, when played correctly, makes football, with all this thudding-into each-other, and basketball, with all this leaping-about, seem crude by comparison.  I could live to be "200", and never-again see such craft-exercised

good talk

The motel I stay-at in PB, and it's on the up and up, won't take "American Express", saying they're thieves, they won't pay-them.  Lanai, "the Garden Island", part of the State of Hawaii, is 98% owned by Larry Ellison, of "Oracle", I've been there.  Hawaii must-not be anything like Nevada, where 83% is Federal Domain, sure doesn't seem like it should be.  I was at the SuperSport yesterday, and they have real-fine pool-facilities, big-area, quiet, have lounge-chairs with people nodding-off in them, Olympic-size swimming pool, except for the depth, and good steam and sauna.  After the drudgery of working-out, it gives-me something to look-forward to, even tho I swam 10 laps, that was soothing.  Anyway, I was in the steam-bath, and I was talking to this big, Black Guy, and he said that he had stayed at Trump Towers in Las Vegas, for a year, and that he was given all these extras that he wasn't expecting  ...Mr. Trump was very-nice to me, I voted for him...  I think you'll find, that people who have done-something with their life are more-likely to vote for Don, and that, those who haven't, are more-likely to vote for Mrs. Clinton

good talk

On Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1919, in Centralia, Washington, there was a violent-clash between the Wobblies (International Workers of the World), and those who resented their efforts to elevate the lot of the Common Man, Workers, whatever, this resulted in 6 deaths.  I once stopped-off in Centralia and looked-around.  When I was in Moscow, I, of course, went to the Kremlin, and there's all this lettering on the Walls, of "Communist Heroes", whose remains are interred in them.  All of them are in the Cyrillic Alphabet, except one, William D. Haywood, known as "Big Bill", an American, and one of the founders of the Wobblies.  Another of the founders of the Wobblies, Eugene V. Debs, in 1920, received a million votes for President of the United States, while a convict in Atlanta Federal Penitentiary.  A couple of their former-gymnasts are suing U.S.A. Gymnastics over sexual-abuse, their names are some big-secret.  Hopefully, McKayla has gone with my suggestion to lose weight (squatty), and get her lips towards normalcy, her appearance was cartoonish. Her father's opinion of her behavior, is the same as mine, he's sorry they met.  She'll receive my bill in the mail for this advice.  Over the past year, Las Vegas has vastly improved the condition of their roads, not so, San Diego. For over 20 years, the people of San Diego have allowed the Public Employees, to use their tax-money, not on infrastructure, but on their own Salaries and Pensions.  San Diego's roads are all-rutted, there's huge, gaping, deep, chuckholes, and you can't miss all, damaging everybody's car, what must their many tourists think of this.  Boneheads and San Diegans are interchangeable.  The Indians are suddenly fond of Wrigley

Tho Cubs, they bared teeth and claws.  Hope the Indians like Wrigley, I've seen a couple games there, hallowed-park, what, some guy said that America's cathedrals are its ballparks.  Sweet Ellie was true to her word, I tilted Nevada to Don, the dye (ballot) is cast

good talk

Harry Reid is suing the gym-apparatus co. that manufactured that machine that malfunctioned, leaving-him with a blind right eye.  The reason for its breakdown, is that it wasn't properly maintained, his own fault.  Harry's elections have always been close,  with few in Nevada really liking-him, so it's very surprising that he's gotten so powerful nationally and for so long.  I know the guy who "led him through the veil" and he says that Harry gives him the creeps, and that he's going to vote for Trump because Harry doesn't want him to, his Mormon buddy, chimed-in, yeah

good talk

Many of the women accusing Don of sexual-misconduct, are deranged, or, like that Porn Star, seeking publicity, I'm real-sure he didn't know who was she.  I had a VA appointment this morning, at the VA hospital (that old pile-of-rubble should have torn-down 10 years ago, 3 years ago there was even massive-flooding, ha, ha, a lot of money has been criminally-accrued by refurbishment) in LaJolla.  And in Phlebotomy, they yet-again took my blood using some long, painstaking weirdo-method.  Also, my labs for blood and urine hadn't been ordered, as they should have been, causing a lot trouble for myself.  All my life, I've heard that the VA Medical does medical-experiments on the Vets, of course it's true, were it not, I wouldn't have heard this all my life.  It's been done to me.  About 10 years ago, the VA had a young Head and Neck doctor, do a "flap", after I had a sixth of my nose cut-off due to skin-cancer by Derm.  I was lied-to, I was told that a reputable plastic-surgeon would do a graft from the back of my left-ear (which was ultimately-done), to my nose, instead this was done to give a young doctor experience, and it was done so badly that this "flap" came-off after 9 days, and there was no blood, as it wasn't attached to a blood-supply as it should have-been.  3 years ago in Feb., my Primary Care doctor, wrote me asking if I wanted both my knees-replaced, as an "expert" VA doctor had read my X-Rays, MRI, and Ultrasound, and concluded I should have this done.  The next time I saw her she said  ...I get a bad letter from you saying stupid...  I didn't say she was, I mentioned that doctors have more access to drugs than others.  I've never had pain in my knees, and ask anybody who's seen me run or do other leg- movements in the gym, I move very-well.  The VA is a bunch of slop, and Don needs to shake-it-out after he gets rid of the corruption

good talk

Obama and I were in LaJolla at the same-time yesterday, just 3 more months.  I've had a cough ever-since I got to San Diego, a week ago, a big, real-deep cough.  I've had this before in SD at this time of the year, but not for 5 years, something is growing, inducing an allergy.  Not for maybe 15 years, but I've had this in Florida, even to the extent of coughing-up blood, just these 2 places.  A slight botherance.  Harvey and his bride saw the first 2 games of the Indians' initial post-season series, with the Red Sox, tickets were a thou, total (then they went-down to Canton and saw for the first-time the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the magnificent McKinley's Tomb), you see what these Series tickets are costing, and that's before scalping.  Savannah Guthrie is about to give-birth yet again, an old lady like that, hopefully she doesn't do a Sarah Palin (that virtuous-woman) and have a retard, it's very-irresponsible.   That Glen Rice thing, Todd Palin (part-Eskimo, Bristol, who started to look pretty-good after awhile) and Sarah were high school sweethearts, that is, they were going-together at that time, ha, ha, he must not be the jealous-type (Sarah has-been almost unheard-from this Election), what a loser-ticket that was.  I called the Clark County Board of Elections, yet again, this morning, I was told that my Absentee Ballot was sent-out 8 days ago.  I was told they'll negate that one and send me another (the same-thing happened 4 years ago).  I pointed-out to Ellie, that the U.S. Postal Service in Las Vegas is rife with drug-users and that this is allowed (no improvement since I revealed-this, people still not getting their mail), and she said she'd Fed Ex Overnight-it to me  ...Now you're talkin'...

good talk

Some guy on TV said that his brother is paying $900plus a mo. for health-care, he said, thanks, Obama.  Seems like everybody is excited about the Cubs, my Indians haven't won the World Series since 1948.  I have a beautiful, Indians uniform-shirt, which I'll be wearing a couple times, soon, Mrs. Clinton is well-known for her devotion to the Cubs, loosen-up and wear similar.  I saw Francona's Old Man, Tito, play for the Indians, the Indians have the better-pitching and will win.  I washed and waxed my car on Fri., Meguiar's Ultra-paste wax, $26 plus tax, Avalon looked like glass.  Today it rained, eh, beautiful beaded-up.  I passed thru last year, but 3 years ago, Paris was meat-market, elbow to elbow, probably now, they'll pay-you to go there, you should try to develop some healthy-interests, you're drenched in evil

Should Mrs. Clinton be elected, it would be 5 Presidencies in a row, with degrees from Yale, Harvard, or both, watch 'em tumble

good talk

"Trader Joe's" is a grocery-chain of 453 stores, and man, are they good.   Non-union, they have all these energetic, young people as employees (not a bunch of mossbacks, hoping to live long-enough to get a pension), the stores are beautiful, with wide-aisles, and there's all-these fine-foods for a reasonable-price.  There's one near-me in PB, I'm in-there every few-days, none-close in LV.  Yesterday, I bought yet-again a lb. of organic-dry roasted cashews, salted, 8.50, about the best I've had.  Also, got a quart of beer, in a glass-keg, "Mississippi Mud", just 3 bucks, had to get-that.  When I called the Clark County Board of Elections on Tuesday, I was-told that the Absentee Ballots had been mailed 3 days before--I should have gotten mine, by now

good talk

I just came from the Chiropractor, hadn't been in a long-time,  it hurt, but it sure hit the spot, I really-appreciate the good doctor's ministrations, be back in a week.  Everything in the U.S.A., in its current incarnation, is "rigged".  Anyone of influence has been bought-off, or has their hand out, wanting to be.  Out of 320 mil Americans, we're going to have 2 Bush's and 2 Clinton's, the only non-related to another, being Obama, in a row, and this is within the Realm of Probability, that there was no "loading the dice"?  I was born at night, not last night

good talk

Hmm, rather, Jan. 27, 2016.  I bought an android in Chengdu, China (pandas, Andy Panda was there), on an impulse, I see everyone-else looking at their hand-devise, and want to keep-up with the Times, and I needed-help in how to properly use-it.  I went to the "Best Buy" on Maryland Ave., and there are these really-nice, young Geeks (the Geek squad), and Jesus assisted-me, I took-up 20 mins. of his time, and I shoved a sawbuck at him, and he said  ...I'm sorry, I can't take that..., now, I had been in there before like that, and it was accepted, why not.  Yesterday, I was at Pacific Beach, and it was so bright, warm, and delightful, inhaling the delicious salt-air, and there was a man, with a contrivance, that emitted huge beautiful-bubbles, some as big as a car, that floated-away in the wind, and everyone was taking-pictures of this.  I put $3 in his tip-jar, I didn't see anyone-else doing this, I even suggested, a bunch of cheap-bastards.  I hope to see him there, again.  Is it just me, or are these old-time chicks, you see on the TCM, a lot better-looking than the ones in current movies

good talk

I recently stopped-off at "Whiskey Pete's" Casino in Primm, just west of Las Vegas.  And there is the "Bonnie and Clyde" car, the riddled-Ford, Big V-8, touring-car (Clyde wrote a letter to Henry Ford, praising his big V-8's, saying that these were his preference to steal), in which Bonnie and Clyde met their demise on May 23, 1934 (See My Blog For Jan. 26, 2016).  I had seen it here a few years ago, it seems to be a permanent-feature, long-ago I saw it in Carson City.  And there's a documentary, narrated in-part by Marie Barrow, Clyde's sister, and the baby of a large-family.  Marie at this time, 1988, was a nice-looking, well-spoken, older-lady, the only one to live to an advanced-age, "80", 1999.  Speaking of her 2 famous outlaw-brothers, Clyde, and the older, Marvin (Buck)  ...I loved my brothers very much.  Clyde gave me a bicycle, I don't know how he got it, which I kept well into adulthood...  Bonnie (Bonnie Elizabeth Parker, Oct. 1, 1910) and Clyde (Clyde Chestnut Barrow, March 24, 1909), had only been on their Crime-Spree of robbing-banks for a little-over 2 years, on that fateful-day, Buck was already-dead. A camera with film had been found in a car that they had abandoned, and the pictures were shown in newspapers, including one of Bonnie with a cigar in her mouth.  The pretty, petite, 4'11", Bonnie, ever-after would tell temporary-hostages or whomever  ...Tell them I don't smoke cigars... They were taken by ambush as confronting-them had resulted in the killings of 13 Lawmen, little-Bonnie somehow, was able to take the kick of a Browning Automatic Rifle (Thompson Sub-Machine Guns, which shot a .45 caliber-bullet, were too pansy for the Barrow Gang, as they wouldn't penetrate the steel-bodies of cars, the BAR's .30-06 Springfield Copper-Jacketed, did), and by all accounts, direct murderous-fire as well as any man.  Bonnie, who only went to the 8th Grade, was very-bright and a talented-poetess (check it out) ...From heartbreak some people have suffered, from weariness some people have died.  But take it all in all, our troubles are small, till we get like Bonnie and Clyde...To few it'll be grief, to the law a relief, but it's death for Bonnie and Clyde...  Both bodies had over 50 bullet-wounds, 16-year old Marie, who had sat-in on many family-gatherings with Bonnie and her 2 fugitive brothers, was sentenced to one hour in Federal Custody

It was actually, Nov. 8, 1942, when my father invaded French North Africa, as one of 65,000 men under Lt. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, part of "Operation Torch".  (See My Blog For Aug. 2, 2011), if that tennis-trophy was the British' at one-time, it's ours now

A couple days ago, I got an immense number of Hits, mostly, from Poland, supposedly.  Vlad, if you think I'm so great, hire me, I'll work for anybody who'll pay-me real-well, you dumb old bastard.  I'd work for Adolf, were he around-today (I actually sort-of like him, Adolf knows that I disapprove of his policies, and it hurts his feelings, I see the humanity in-him), if he paid-me-right, a guy has to look-out for himself, right?     The Russians, and everybody of the multitude who know how to hack, have read Mrs. Clinton's emails, the emails are common-knowledge for everybody, ninnies.    I was told by his mother, my Grandmother, that my father was really-worried about being torpedoed, when his ship was sailing-to Oran, in 1943, knowing that his many 1st-Cousins in the German Military, would love to send-him to the bottom, would give one pause for concern, ha, ha

I've still got that MasterCard that Citibank issued-me, I've accrued several-thousand points and all those are good-for are a bunch of 20% discounts on things that you can buy cheaper without their 20% discounts.  I didn't choose this type of MasterCard, I just went-along with what the guy at Citibank said was best for-me, nobody would want this.  I've mentioned this previously, and I want you Readers to complain to Citibank and that effete Federal Agency, concerning my case (See My Blog for Oct. 8, 2015), you worthless-bastards.  In the past, when my Passport pages were almost used-up, I just sent-in my Passport and they'd put-in a lot of additional-pages at no-charge.  I paid $110 for my current 10-year Passport and I've only had it for 5-years, and beginning this year, if you need additional-pages, you've got to pay $110 for a new-Passport--and I need new-pages.  The purpose of government is to provide assistance to its citizens, and this country does nothing (good) for its citizens, we need a new-direction.  Revisit my uplifting-Blog on Father Charles Dismas Clark (Sept. 29, 2009)

good talk

Hey, I got a Hit from Algeria, also Bangladesh.  The IRS says, that any means that you can use to legally avoid paying Federal Income Tax, is cricket.  Trump's loss was a legal tax-write-off, so what's the big deal?  You always used to see--Every Vote Counts, altho not since the 2000 Election when Gore got a half-mil more votes and still-lost to Bush.  Trump will get a lot more of the Black Vote than you think, Blacks like a strong-man.  U of Oklahoma just-beat U. of Texas in the "Red River Rivalry", the Red River dividing the 2, ever see it, that thing's a bright-red, I've never seen anything like-it.  I saw the 100 mil bust, "Ben Hur", at Tropicana Cinemas, at Trop and Pecos ($2 except Tuesdays when it's $1), I thought it was pretty-good.  Matthew was nothing, well, there'll be more hurricanes

good talk

This recent-thing with Donnie is stupid (you should stop thinking entirely, it'd be for the best), with the ways they have today of catching one's unguarded-moments, nobody good will be elected to anything.  Not to beat-this into the ground, but for sure, Mrs. Clinton's extroverted-Bill has said many things-similar, in his day.  In 2000, I was in Miami and I saw a cartoon in the "Herald", of an aide talking to the President in the Oval Office as a woman walked past  ...What a fine leg ah see!...   No, no, Mr. President, I came in to speak to you about leaving a fine legacy...  I don't think that anyone has ever regarded the Presidents since John Kennedy as their moral compass, just vote for whom you think will do the best-job of running the country.  I hope that Derrick Rose, who I've seen play a few-times, wins his court-case, there's always some no-good little-tramp trying to win the "lottery".  Monica Lewinsky kept her dress, stained with her lover's, Bill's, seminal-fluid, as-is, I would have washed-it

good talk

I had a scrapejob recently.  And Jan told-me that while my plaque wasn't too-bad, that I had tartar on my lower front-teeth, I don't know-why.  The only way to rid-yourself of tartar is by having it scraped-off by a dental-hygienist, and some are better than others. Dentists have said, Jan is excellent, yes, yes indeed.  My dentist's parents are from Nigeria, he's from here, he speaks same as me.  Although youngish, he's the head of a big-clinic, I haven't had a cavity since the 90's, after reading my X-rays and briefly examining my mouth, there's not much for him to do.  He takes a respite from his duties and we sort-of hang-out mostly talking about boxing, Nigerians love boxing (say, Dick Tiger), and his Dad raised-him on it.  There's a megafight, Nov. 19, at the new T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, and he's taking his boy to it, Sergey Kovalev (30 wins, 26 by KO, and a draw, which is on a technicality, as the fight was stopped in the 6th Rd. due to his opponent unable to continue due to a foul), takes-on also undefeated Andre Ward (30 wins, 15 KO's), at 175 lbs (light heavyweights).  I won't be in town, I'd like to see-it, any seat is a good seat.  He and I agreed that before Obama leaves office that he should Pardon Bernard Hopkins, who has led a prominent and exemplary-life since getting-out-of Graterford at "23".  Hopefully, I've stoked enthusiasm for what would be, unlike many, a popular-move for Barack.  Nobody thought that the Cavaliers would win the NBA Championship after being-down 3-1, but LeBron's resolve was deep and it infected the other Cavs, such that LeBron was able to force his will on the Warriors, a truly-impressive feat.  No one has ever spoken of their love for their hometown as has LeBron for Akron, which is very-nice.  Harvey flew to Cleveland for the 1st and 2nd games of the Indians-Red Sox playoff-series, I tried to disguise my envy, possibly he noticed that I had turned-green

good talk

This is really exciting-stuff, waiting for Matthew, which should be a Category 4, to hit Florida.  Now, I've never owned a house, as I'm sort-of a here today, gone tomorrow, type-guy, but had I, it wouldn't be in some place, where I might get-it wiped-out.  And I wouldn't buy-one within a few-miles of the ocean, I was at Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand, 4 months after a tidal-wave hit, killing a thousand (a nice-room for 17 bucks), I looked for the destruction, but everything was totally-normal, as they had dragged-off the bodies and made-repairs, life must go-on.  I spoke to the survivors, say, this lady (I ask for a big, strong, girl for the deep-tissue 2-hour massage I like so-good) told me that everybody fled up into the highlands and that huge price-gouging of water and other necessities was rampant.  The weather is changing for the worse, a tidal-wave could hit anywhere, maybe.  Anyway, what's happening with the Floridians is no skin off my nose, it was their choice to live there, the forthcoming is all so-interesting (and those Weather Folk are now such big-stars, this is their moment).  When Sandy hit, it gave Obama the opportunity to make-statements and give-orders and act presidential, while Mitt had to stand-around doing-nothing, had Sandy not hit, Romney might have-won.  This is playing well for Donnie, as during times of chaos, people gravitate to a Strong Person    ...Goin' 90 I don't get nervous, 'long as I got my Plastic Jesus, When I spin out I don't get scary, 'long as I got my Virgin Mary, riding on the dashboard of my car...

Half my Hits, lately, have-been from Poland, that must Russia, yet again, oh, Vlad, who goes harsh on others, likes Ed, he thinks I'm a neat-guy, isn't that cute?  When I was at Ohio State, a friend of mine told-me that he thought that I had unnecessarily-blown-it with some chick, he said ...No one could scorn you for being seen with her...  As tho, if these guys saw me with some girl they thought wasn't up-to-snuff, they might go ...scorn, scorn, scorn...   Now you're being silly

Scott's bet is in big-peril, as the Nationals are trotting-out Scherzer to go-against some less-than-average guy for the Marlins, an entire-gym is hanging-on the outcome.  A reasonable-man would fear the worst.  I'm not one to spread-scandal, but Scott, an oddsmaker, says that Jose Fernandez was set-to-go last Sunday, that his start was not postponed for the next-day, Monday, what I just-said was on their screens.  Maybe Jose was tired-of-living, we all feel-that-way from time-to-time, right?

I'm declaring a cessation of hostilities with McKayla Maroney.  She seemed to implode a few months ago, I suppose realizing that I would never have-her.  Inexplicably, she went for my throat on numerous occasions, for 2 years, which didn't (favorably) impress-me.  I don't know that McKayla has Herpes, hopefully she doesn't, something-happened, she was a beautiful-girl and all at-once was squatty from over-eating and had really big-lips.  Not yet "21", I would think that she can regain the way she was, somehow.  And what, she's trying to launch a singing-career, maybe she'll be the next Julie London, whomever.  This has happened with me a few-times, where a really good-looking girl would initially try to have-me think well of her, and then be really-mean to me (in sexual-ways), and then she'd be crushed when I didn't want her, seemingly affecting the rest of her life (I think a lot of myself, don't I).  McKayla, we all must carry-on as best we can, and I wish you well (I emerge a noble-character in this).  20 years ago, I was all-over Central America as it was coming-out of Civil War, the only time it was safe, not since, and it was wonderful.  I saw the Mayan ruins at Copan (their kings all had cool-names, the most famous was "Smoke Jaguar"), in Honduras.  In Guatemala, I was at Tikal, in my travel-guide it said ...When you come out of the jungle and see the Temple of the Sun it goes all the way to your gut... so true.  When I was in Guatemala City, I was told that there was a popular saying  ...Even the prettiest girl (defecates)...  What, someone might say this when something unexpectably goes wrong?  This is the worst-expression I've heard

I, like most, would enjoy celebrity and the money that comes with-it (all you yokels seem to have bad-consciences, were it I, I'd do the right-thing by Ed, and assuage, you're not acting-normally).  Alicia Machado, Miss Venezuela, won the 1995 Miss Universe Contest, not the first from her country to do this, Venezuela, a country of 30 mil has produced more international beauty-contest winners than any other country, going-there you'll see more beautiful-women than you shake a stick-at.  Anyway, half-way thru Alicia's 1-year reign, she who had won the contest weighing 122 lbs., weighed-in at 174 lbs. (when the finalists were asked their plans for the future, Alicia said that she eventually wanted to own a restaurant), and was making her public-appearance crammed-into her Miss Universe garb--she looked terrible, Miss Universe looked-like a fat-slob.  According to the Miss Universe bylaws, Alicia could have been replaced by the 1st Runner-up, and everyone (this got a lot of international pub) expected this to occur.  Donald Trump, graciously and mercifully, kept Alicia on as Miss Universe, and worked-with-her to regain normal and appropriate-proportions.  Not only did Alicia Machado retain her title as Miss Universe, she looked like Miss Universe, and should have been very-happy with Donald for all that he had done for her.  Instead, she turned-on Don, who had been so-kind to her, Alicia is an ingrate

good talk

I followed Arnold Palmer at the first American Golf Classic, at Firestone Country Club, in 1961, he won-it the next year.  A guy recently told me that some woman he knew was all-excited because when she was part of "Arnie's Army", Arnold had looked-at-her.  Palmer had looked-at-me, and I was offended, thinking, what's with this guy looking-at-me, I might not have-had the right-attitude, well, I was only "14", a young-boy.  Some athletes are like-that, enjoy looking-into the crowd, "counting the house".   Arnold had a lot of charisma, he generally excited-people, and was iconic in the popularization of golf.  From Akron, I had shot many rounds before giving-up golf at "16", as did both my brothers.  LeBron probably didn't do this, altho like Jordan and Barkely, who are golf-fanatics, no doubt tried the game in early-adulthood, I've never heard of LeBron shooting a round, so I'm sure he doesn't.  Like so many, my father thought Golf was The Game, and as a young-engineer at Goodyear, belonged to a country-club by himself (his mother, my grandmother, said, that he complained that if he took a girl to a club-dance, old men would try to dance with her).  I doubt if my Old Man jitterbugged, wasn't that in vogue then, you ever see that, to see those who are good is very-nice

good talk

I had a huge number of Hits before 10:30 A.M., today, you're mistaken, I'm not your father.  Jose Fernandez was a big-time pitcher.  He was to pitch Monday, and the Marlins probably winning.  Scott bet the Marlins season-total at "80", and they won't make-up the cancelled-game (the regular-season has 162 games, but it's only necessary to play 160).  When Jose was speeding, at night, and no doubt drunk and/or on drugs, somehow managing to hit that huge concrete-jetty, he wasn't thinking about the ones who'd be affected, he wasn't thinking of his unborn-child or Scott.  Donald looked tired at the Debate, now, Mrs. Clinton took a few-days off to prepare, and Donnie needs to relax, probably doing no more than sleeping for 10 hours a couple-days before the next Debate, it'll do him a world of good, and needful after many-months of 3 hours of sleep each nite.  No one is superhuman, he needs know when to slow-it-down.  The 1st Debate is inconsequential unless one of the candidates starts drooling (or talking at length with his tongue-extended).  The NBA Players have-it in their contract that they must stand for the Anthem (which is a heck of a tune, I've been to Fort McHenry, taking mass-transpo from downtown-Baltimore, altho the British hit the Fort hundreds of times, they were only able to kill 4 guys), so that'll be interesting.  The "Star Spangled Banner" has only been played before sporting-events, with WW 11, to promote a feeling of patriotism

Our sober-friend, Matt Bush, relief-pitcher of the Texas Rangers, is currently 7-2 with a 2.56 ERA, averaging a strikeout per inning (if you send them to the dugout they'll do no harm), and will make a mil this season, and maybe a whole-lot more in the future.  We've seen Matt go from 3 and a half years in prison to this, and we're proud of him.  And we're also proud of the Texas Rangers Organization, Matt certainly wound-up with the right outfit, which knew how to treat his disease, the Hooch has never done anyone favors

I used to take as many photos as anyone else, but for the past, maybe, 15 years, I just go with a 27-shot flash Fuji disposable, the last cost about 10 bucks at Wal-Mart.  I rarely see anything that I think, now, there's a picture.  And, if I ask someone to take my picture in front of something, which I often do, nobody would try to run-off with it, would they.  On this past trip of 48 days to lots of fab-places, I took 23 pictures.  That wonderful-day, when I was outside of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, almost into Russia, it was so cold on May 5, that my hand was so-frozen that I dropped my camera from shoulder-height on the solid-pebble-inbedded ground, it hit with a "crack" and the flash went-off indicating it had taken a shot.  I just picked-it-up, shook-it and there was no sound, wiped-it-off, and put-it back in my case, I figured it was intact, not-broke.  Now, if this were any other camera, say, the ones that all of you snobs use, it would've been real-broke, you'd be out-of-luck.  I got home, and had the film developed into beautiful 5x7's, duplicates, for about $50, sending a set to Bob in Cleveland (don't you wish you were related to me).  It's the King-Tiger of cameras.   While at the Panda Preserve in Chengdu, China, I was ready to snap a picture of 3 baby Pandas cavorting in a tree, you know how cute that looks (maybe not), as my index-finger went-down on the button, a girl, about "16", bumped my right-shoulder in her eagerness to behold ...You Idiot...  Immediately, a girl, say, "20", very-loudly  ...You look like a gentleman (I'm always assumed to be an English gentleman) and you say that to her!  And she went on and on, yet again, very-loudly, now, I'm not going to stand-there and let someone lay into-me, I responded in kind, this went-on for awhile.  She spoke perfect English, not many of the Chinese speak English, much less well, knowing you people you're wondering, what did she look-like, pretty-good.  The younger-girl was probably her sister, and maybe a little-slow, she her fierce-protector.  Did this make a scene, nah, how many witnessed, 60.  I didn't think much about-it until I got Stateside, but now find-it unfortunate.  Hopefully this doesn't have you thinking less of me

good talk

"Snowden" was pretty-good.  He's pictured as an epileptic little-guy, I don't think he is epileptic, it doesn't sound like it, and he's 5'11".  His girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, looks pretty-good in her picture, as does the chick playing-her, nice eyes.  What got me, was when that simple, Eric Holder, was trying to lure Ed back to the States to face Prosecution, the way it sounded was like, Holder was offering him a reduced-sentence, say 20 years in prison instead of 25 (they went real-light on that Manning guy (girl).  At the end of the movie (not giving anything away), Ed's actual father says ...He'll die in Russia, he's never coming back.  Las Vegas is hot and heavy for stadium costing billions, and everybody agrees that 750 mil will be raised by increasing the "Guest Room Tax," there seems to be no dissent on this.  40 years ago throughout the country, the tax on a hotel room was usually 5%.  Then it increased, to often threefold today.  Locales are no-longer thankful that visitors to their cities are spending money for goods and services that otherwise would go unsold.  Today, municipalities want to take their Visitors, turn-them upside-down and shake-out their pockets, if Las Vegas' tourists feel that they're being gouged, they might not want to go there

good talk

I was thinkin', it was more-like I was getting better after a day and a half of taking those 2 Swiss Pharmaceuticals, and I wasn't fully-cured for 4 days, I continued taking-them for another 2 days (I still have some).  I looked all-over for the address of that Pharmacy, as I wanted to send that Coptic family a thank-you card, strangely, I couldn't find it.  I always keep records of everything (German), usually in my mind (how many Yoga Classes have I taken, "194").  I was real-sorry I didn't send-them a card.  The doctor (an Internist) I saw every 4 months for 13 years left the VA to work for another federal-agency, my letter to her  ...I've often spoken of your care, I'll think of your skill and kindness always.

Hopefully before Obama punches-out, he'll Pardon Ed Snowden (it'd be something to have a son like that), and Bernard Hopkins.  B-Hop has led an exemplary-life since leaving Graterford Prison at "23", is a smart-guy who was his own-manager, negotiating many huge-purses for himself.  He's spoken of public-office in his native Philadelphia "If they'd only overlook my 6 Felony Convictions" (said tongue-in-cheek), and myself and others believe it should be so.  Kelly Pavlik (See My Blog of March 11, 2013), is in his usual puerile-trouble, being charged with felonious assault after shooting some guy with a pellet gun, his wife married a child.  While reading the Sept. 12 S.I., I found myself turning-back to the Fla. State player eating lunch with the autistic boy

good talk

I had pneumonia in 2008 when I had an 8 hour layover in Brussels on my way to Cairo, I had the pneumonia-vaccination for all the good it did.  I wasn't going to hang-around the airport for so long, I took mass-transpo into Brussels and saw the sights.  I usually think I'm invincible, I was running-around in a Ban-Lon and it was quite cold, some lady said ...You'll get pneumonia...  I saw their Cathedral, not very impressive, and was 5 hours in their Museum of Art, which was real-good.  My first day in Cairo, I started coughing, and soon I was coughing every few-seconds.  I did the Egyptian Museum and Great Pyramids, etc. for 3 days, my 4th time doing-this, and headed-down to Luxor, doing the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Karnak, etc., my malady not impeding-me at-all.  I basically just lay-there coughing all night (stayed in a 3-Star, the maid expertly shaped the bath-towels like a swan and other pleasing-shapes), Egypt is cheap, always had 2 dinners on their roof, in the early-evening.  But I was pretty sick, really.  Back up to Cairo, and bought a cheap-ticket from a Copt Travel Agency, to fly to Kuwait City, in the late afternoon.  Took a long-time to get through "Immigration," there were a couple American-guys in their 30's, and the one was telling-me ...You're not acting-right (I was sweating and coughing)... and was making similar innuendo at some-length, I'm sure he meant-well, but he was bugging-me, his friend didn't say anything, just smiled.  The next-day I'm seeing the sights, and I also see a pharmacy, and these were Copts, a husband, wife, and little-boy, his mother was teaching to do the books.  Upon hearing my complaint, the lady gave me 2 Swiss Pharmaceuticals, and some Egyptian Cough Syrup, the total bill was 36 U.S.  I followed the instructions on the boxes, and was cured in a day and a half.  The Copts were the first Christian Sect, founded when St. Mark arrived in Alexandria in 48 A.D. (In 68 A.D., Mark was martyred when worshipers of the pagan god, Serapsis, tied-him to a horse and dragged-him thru the streets for 2 days), the women stand-out in a Moslem World, as they always have a crucifix around their neck.  From my experience, the Copts are very-good people, smart and very-helpful, I was certainly-grateful in this instance

good talk

Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook, last nite on HBO, was real-interesting. The Kazakh's shots are so heavy, that no one at 160 lbs. can withstand them.  That was Kell's first loss, he'll go back-down in weight, now.  It was a wise-stoppage in the 5th Rd. when Kell's trainer, Dominic Ingle, threw in the towel (the referee didn't see this for awhile, we audience just thought that someone in his corner yelled "He's through," or something, I saw no towel).  Brook is from England, and the fight was in London, apparently Kell was ahead on the Scorecards at the conclusion, ridiculous, he was fighting with broken-bones around an eye from the 2nd Rd. on.  Gennady speaks good English and is well-spoken, he says that he next wants to fight Billy Joe Saunders (an Irish Traveller), but the real-good fight would, of course, be Saul Alvarez, "Canelo," I'd certainly take Golovkin in this.  HBO's camera-work was beyond terrible, those watching know-well what the ref's back looks-like.  UFC is becoming very-popular, I've seen it for 10 or 20 seconds, I'm very-refined, it reminds me of Caveman

good talk

My mother would have been "98" today.  Asheville, NC is and was the largest-city in western North Carolina, and my mother, Mary Ellen Williams, graduated 3rd in her class (?) from Asheville High School in 1936, and, not overly ambitious, won and took-advantage of a scholarship to Cecils Business College.  Begun in 1905, by the Cecil Family, relatives of the Vanderbilts, it was called this for a century, it's now called something-else.   Asheville was a resort-town, and people came and lived-here, as high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, it was considered good for those who had Tuberculosis, my mother's father, a tobacco-salesman, had this.  After graduating from Cecils, my mother worked as a secretary at the County Courthouse, she didn't know Thomas Wolfe, she used to see-him walking-about, but knew his secretary.  I haven't been in Asheville since I was quite small, but would like to someday see the Biltmore Estate, built by George Vanderbilt in 1905, the fab house is the largest in the U.S.  Anderson Cooper of CNN is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, so this might give-us a slight-connection.  I quit smoking on Sept. 5, 1983, it was Labor Day that year, after smoking cigarettes for 16 years, and man, that's a rough-habit, I'd be dead by now had I continued.  I also smoked marijuana throughout my 20's (when I was "20" I took a pound of weed in the inner-pocket of my sportcoat, on a plane, from Frisco to Cleveland, no way of telling how many State and Federal Laws I broke).  Take it from one who knows from vast-experience, for recreational, medicinal, and other reasons, smoking-anything is terrible for you (inhaling smoke?)

good talk

If you can get 20 mil, I wish someone would sexually-harass me.  I didn't know that Gretchen Carlson had been Miss America, that's very impressive.  I've always thought that Gretchen seemed a nice-lady, but I notice that it was only after she was canned that she complained about Roger Ailes badgering-her for sex, even tho this had gone on for years, even many years.  Gretchen has been married for 19 years and has 2 children, I'm sure that she mentioned this "sexual-harassment" by Roger Ailes to her husband, and that the both of them just put-up with it, so how-bad could it have been?  Had some guy been constantly asking my wife to have sex with him, I would have told him not to do this.  This was settled quickly, probably the lawyers got 2 mil, and Gretchen 18 mil, nice-work if you can get it.  Las Vegas Liberty, a public high school, just went to Texas and beat their 2nd-best team.  On the History Channel, they said that a cord of wood was 4' x 4' x 8', I didn't know that

It's been years since McKayla took nude-underage photos of herself (kiddie-porn), and posted-them on the Internet, this is the production and distribution of Child Pornography, and many thousands of these photos have been reproduced and sold, all this is in violation of major Federal Laws.  She's the source of all this, without her illegal-actions, none of this would have occurred.  Federal Prosecutors would have swooped-in long ago, except for Obama's intervention, as he had hoped to get-some down the road.  McKayla is no better than anyone-else who would do this and should be held accountable, Obama rules as tho he were king

good talk

"Hands of Stone," was real-good.  Prior to their bout in Montreal's Olympic Stadium, before 50 thou, in which Duran made more money than he ever had, and Leonard making more money for a fight than any previous fighter, Duran had strategically-goaded Leonard with taunts and insults, including, as shown in the film, telling Leonard, that his wife, who was present, was a whore, and that after he defeated Ray, he was going to (sex) her.  When they met on June 20, 1980, for Leonard's WBC Welterweight Championship, with Ray a 2-1 favorite, Leonard was lured into slugging-it-out with the smaller but harder-punching Duran (...across the ring was Charles Manson staring at me...), with Roberto pounding-out a unanimous decision (not split, one judge's scorecard had been tabulated-incorrectly, everyone watching thought Duran had won).   The Public clamored for a rematch, which took place at the New Orleans SuperDome on Nov. 25, 1980.  This time, Ray, having learned his lesson, boxed evasively, and did better.  By the 8th Round, it was a close fight, with Leonard a little-ahead on the scorecards, towards the end of the 8th, Roberto, perhaps frustrated by things not going as well as before, and suffering indigestion from having gorged-himself after the weigh-in, suddenly turned-his-back to Leonard and waving his hand, walked-towards his corner, saying to referee, Octavio Meyran, "No Mas."  The people of his native, Panama, were horrified, and ashamed that their hero had given-up.  But they celebrated in the streets, when Duran later knocked-out the previously undefeated Davey Moore, taking his WBA 154 lb. Championship, redemption.  Robert's wife, Felicidad, was played by Ana de Armas (getting to know each other  ...Can you read?  ...Is this a job interview?), she is so beautiful, they showed-her almost nude,  I'm pretty-sure that she'd like me, I'm gonna send her an email, be ready, Ana

Father Edward C. Anderson passed away recently in Las Vegas at "94".  For the past 30 years I've had Masses said for my paternal Grandmother and my younger brother, Tom, every couple years, as well as others, 4 Masses for each, and Father Anderson said quite a few of them as a retired-priest.  The retired-priest says Mass in his quarters every morning, as a matter of course, and he receives the $10 offering per Mass, that is, last Summer it was 5 Souls, so $200.  I once asked Clairemarie Slavic, the very kind office-manager at Guardian Angel Cathedral, if say, I could donate a thou to the retired-priests, and she assured-me that they were already awash in money (the Catholic Church turning-down money?), and that it would be unnecessary.  Father Anderson was the adopted-son and only child of his father, of the same name, and mother, Catherine, and made his final-vows to be a priest in the Order of St. Viator, in 1948.  Father Anderson was an educator, a high school Principal, for St. Viator, throughout the country, and was a former-principal at Bishop Gorman High School here in Las Vegas (Texas has always thought that their high school Football is so great, Gorman just went-down there and plowed their best team).  The Good Father rests in peace

That Raghead-couple that keeps on making-trouble for Trump.  We didn't have to allow-them in our country, if they lost a son, over the past 15 years, thousands of American parents have lost sons to this Middle East Mess.  What's so special about them?  Indeed, I think that it was Ragheads who killed all of the aforementioned.  The Dems having that illegal-alien up there on center-stage really got me.  Akron was a city of 300 thou from 1925 thru the 1970's, when the rubber-industry was going-strong, and the "Rubberworkers" Union was the highest-paid industrial-union in the U.S., more-so than the UAW.  Akron was one of the richest-cities in world-history.  I hung around Akron for so-long, that I wound-up working in a Rubber-Shop, it was better than walkin' the streets, a whole-lot better, you got free total-medical, free prescriptions (they were supposed to charge a dollar, but waived-it to get the business), high pay.  I made up "batches" for and operated the Banbury, it was an intermediate plastics-process, where powder and pellets were "cooked" into a solid-mass.  The guys who worked-there were regarded as such animals that they had no women working in the office, it was just men in the entire Plant.  Of course, this wasn't my concern.  I was a lot-different and they were very-nice to me.  A friend of mine was telling me about a bar he frequented ...Older P.... goes there, "24" to "34", come-on-in and I'll introduce-you-around...  His was a very kind offer.  I have fond-memories of those guys

I've had hardly any hits the past couple days, did Ed hurt Oooos' feelings?  Rio has never looked any-good anyway, they'll look worse after their Olympics.  Savannah Guthrie refuses to go to these Olympics because she's pregnant, NBC paid a bil dollars to show these Games, and one of their main-people is saying there's something wrong with-them.  The Russians?  LaShawn Merritt of the U.S. was suspended for 21 months in 2010 for steroids.  He smoked Jeremy Wariner, the defending Olympic Champion, by a full second in the 400 metres final in 2008, of course, Wariner didn't cheat.  And Merritt is back for more, as the favorite in this event.  Justin Gatlin of the U.S. was suspended from 2006 to 2010 for steroids, and Ol' Justin is close to being the fastest man in the world in the 100 metres, at "34."  Must have been eating his Wheaties.  It's best to look at yourself before criticizing others.  The S. Koreans looked terrible after their 1988 Olympics in Seoul (been in the stadium).  They attacked referee, Keith Walker, of New Zealand, after a match in which the S. Korean boxer lost (he bought an expensive air-ticket and got out-of-there the next day).  Roy Jones of the U.S. was voted "Most Proficient" boxer at these Olympics even tho he lost in the Gold Medal bout to a S. Korean boxer, whose eyes he had punched-out.  The Chinese looked terrible at their Olympics, winning the team Gold Medal in Women's Gymnastics, not caring that the World saw them using underage-girls as young as "13," (so what, if we cheated, we don't care what you think about us, we got what we wanted).

If the Russians cross my palm with silver I'll like 'em a whole lot.  2x2=4   2x4=8  2x8=16  2x16=32, you get the picture.  The first-time I was in Macau was 1998, and it was just a bunch of Mom and Pop casinos owned by Stanley Ho, I was back in 2005, and the Sands was the only big casino, I was there on a Tues. nite, and it was like Las Vegas.  Today there's an abundance of 4 and 5 star casinos on Macau Peninsula, Cotai, and Taipa Island, all close and connected.  I was in the MGM, the Wynn, and the Grand Lisboa, the only 5 stars considered De Luxe, yeah, quite good.  I met Peter Wurthmuller, a real-big German guy, 10 years younger, in the MGM, he has condos he rents-out in Munich, and he told me of his travels in China, which inspired me to similar.  His political-talk was really good, I wouldn't mind bumping into Peter, yet again. There's been a downturn in Macau's casinos' revenue, but they were jam-packed in late April, so I couldn't tell.  Macau has 670 thou on 11.7 sq. mi., the most densely-populated area in the world. Portuguese from 1557 to 1999, when it became part of China.  I saw the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, 1602, I was in Macau Cathedral, I was in Senado Square and the Leal Senado (Portuguese houses of legislature).  I visited the Fortaleza do Monte, the 16th century fort, and part of the same hill is the historical museum, Museum of Macau, both of these real fine which to go

I've got a ton of hits already today, and I haven't been online in 2 days, you people are wetting your pants.  I've got a glut from Russia, the Ivans dig me, I hung around with a beautiful Russian girl, "26," for awhile in China, I like you folks.  This constant-thing on the History Channel about space aliens building the pyramids and the other wonders of yore, is stupid, their commentators try to pass-themselves off as being intelligent.  On these TV ads about finding out your ancestry, they have one cluck saying that she found-out that she was 26% Native American, say guy says that he's 92% something--it can't be, it has to be a multiple of "2," the highest Math I took was Algebra 11, and I know that.  You women aren't rushing to be around Ed, once again, maybe you'd be interested in Scott (See My Blog for Sept. 23, 2014), now "45."  He looks real-good, a kind and gentle-man, Scott went-off-of reefer a few months ago, lucid for the first-time in a third of a century, quite the catch for the lucky girl.         I wanted to make her happy, and you see the shape she's in, eh, had good intentions, anyway       It's the bottom number that has to be multiple of "2," to clarify

I'm with Don, she certainly seemed like a subservient-bitch

good talk

I'm so tired of this McKayla thing, I'm so sorry that we met 4 years ago, and I hope she feels the same about me.  I'm not a cruel-person, but if she whacked-herself, it'd be for the best.  Las Vegas, today, is the only place in the U.S., I've lived, where the U.S. Postal Service is dishonest and unreliable.  I sent Scott a postcard from Mongolia, I put it into the postal-employee's hands in the post-office, he looked it-over and nodded.  Scott never got it.  Last year, I sent a friend of mine, Al, a Filipino Minister, a postcard from Israel, I mailed-it from Ben Gurion (he used to work as an electrical-engineer at U.S. Air Force Bases, Clark, Wright-Patterson, but 15 years ago he got religion.  He often has astute-observations reflective of his training), and he didn't get-it.  I told Al that his situation was worse than Moses', as not only has he not been allowed to get to the Holy Land, he can't even get a postcard from there.  Only here in Las Vegas, do people not get their mail, and 2 years ago, the big Post Office where I've had a box for 30 years, was robbed twice of mail and packages, with me losing both each time--this is because so many of the Las Vegas U.S. Postal Employees are drug-addicted, and just slop the mail anywhere, and steal to support their habit.  I reported this 2 years ago, and nothing has changed

good talk

Well, the girls could get out-of it, Sally Ann Queer and Cathy Queer get married in their early-teens.  I had lots of hits before I went online for the 1st time in 3 days, you TV people, Vlad and the Russians, all of you, are a bunch of leeches.  This country is rotten to the core in any-way of thinking, if Mrs. Clinton is elected, it'll continue-on its downward slope, Trump is honest and has solutions.  In San Diego, they're now allowing the Vets to bring their dogs into the medical-facilities, and even into the office when they see their Primary Care doctor.  In June, my doctor told me that some guy had his dog in there with him, and that she had made a gesture, and the dog jumped-up and bit her arm.

good talk

Back in Akron, I worked for the "Summit County Recorder" for awhile, and I processed a deed for a family whose last name was "Queer."  I told my older brother about this, and Bob got a real-serious look and said ...I'd change my name...

good talk

Hong Kong is always fun.  HK and Macau, each have a separate currency from the rest of China.  I always stay in either Chungking or Mirador Mansions, on Nathan St., in Kowloon, this time and usually, the former.  A good and cheap flop, inside Chungking is anything one can think-of, shops, travel agencies, I got my 10-year China Visa from Fred, a nice Chinese guy, who has a visa-agency inside Chungking.  And Fred had the cheapest-price I could find, 280 U.S. for a next-day visa.  The Chinese govt. gouges the Americans and the Brits on this, for everybody else it's much cheaper.  The "Star Ferry" goes all-over the harbour, about a quarter a ride, when the boat docks after 10 mins, the hemp-rope is thrown and caught with a billhook, as it was in 1888.  Took the "Peak Tram" up 396 metres to the highest-point on HK Island, and to look-about once up there, it's all so very-nice.  Enjoyed the HK Maritime Museum (where I saw those pictures).  Was in the HSBC Building, unique and a masterpiece of architecture, the first bil dollar U.S. building, when it opened in 1985.  Was in the Anglican St. John's Cathedral, and the Taoist Pak Tai Temple, enjoyed the HK Mus. of History.  Even my older brother, Bob, has been to Hong Kong, while in Vietnam, he had his choice of 5 days of R&R in either HK or Australia, he was happy with his choice, of course

good talk

Chris Sale of the White Sox, is having a great season for his team, but if ever there was a brat, I'll bet some of women would like to bend Chris over your knee.  Every 4 months I have blood taken at the VA in LaJolla, to be analyzed before my Primary Care appt.  In June, the room was full of guys, and just one phlebotomist, and she was also doing the office-work, going back and forth.  She said that 4 of the phlebotomists had called-in to say they would be late.  I heard one guy say, why would there be 4, and, my appointment for Cardiology was a half-hour ago.  Eventually, a couple more showed-up, and they still don't take your blood the correct and easy-way, for me, this time, she had some weird-device such that her hands could be free while my blood was taken.  55% of the doctors in the country have had some of their training at the VA.  In Feb., I had a lipoma cut-out of my back by a young gal, who had her Medical Degree from Harvard.  Observing my skin-cancer operation in June, was one who had a degree from Oxford, on and on, they have impressive people as VA doctors.  It's sort-of like a chef who has the best ingredients, but still has a hard-time turning-out good dishes.  The VA messes-up too much.  If Don gets elected he says he'll reform the VA, a great idea.  But it should be more along the lines of rooting-out corruption and getting-more cohesion.  There's 24 mil Vets, many of whom go to the VA, and they take a pride in that they're better than everybody else, they have to be separate, you can't throw them-in another medical system.   And they vote, you don't want an unnecessary fight that you can't win
