There's a Growing Secession Movement in this Country whereby Individual States would Secede from the Federal Union and Go It on their Own. The Growing Feeling of Disgust with the Way the Federal Government Dictates Every Aspect of your Life and with Very Poor Results, the "Nanny Country," is Pushing People to this Extreme. Those of this Persuasion in Vermont for Example say, We'll do a Lot Better. I have no Interest in This, I can't think of any State that I'd like to Ally Myself. As for Ohio where I was Born and Lived for 30 Years, Except for a Few People and the Sports Teams I've Always Rooted For, the Entire State Can Crack Off and Slide into Lake Erie as far as I'm Concerned. I toured the South Carolina Statehouse a few months before the Confederate Battle Flag which Flew Over It Since 1962 was Taken Down in July, 2000. You can See Holes in the Sides of the Statehouse from Union Cannon Fire, It was Small but Pretty Neat. I was Looking All Over in the Various Shops around There, and It's Close to the University of South Carolina, for a T-Shirt with the Confederate Battle Flag on It. I had a Great-Great Grandfather, a Polk from Polk Country Tennessee, who was a Rebel and Was in a Prisoner-of-War Camp (Gramps fought for the South, his Brother fought for the North). My Family has Emotional Equity involved in This Flag and I Thought that I Could Wear the Battle Flag T-Shirt maybe 3 Times a Year as a Historical Reference. I Couldn't Find It Anywhere and I Really Did Look. The Manager of One Store Said We Used to Sell a Lot of Them but Today They'd Tear It Off You. Nobody's Going to Tear it Off Me. Previously I had Looked All Over in Other Likely Locations and Hadn't Found One. Now, I Want You People to Send Me One, Over the Past Year Tens of Thousands of You, the Biggest Names in the Country Amongst You, Have Been Reading My Blog and I Still Have No Official Followers, Your Cowardice and Ingratitude Cuts Into Me, That I Have to Associate With People Such as Yourselves. You Can At Least Perform This Trifle.

No doubt the L.A. District Attorney's Office could have had Roman Polanski Arrested sometime a lot earlier than Thirty Years after he had Fled the Country. Must Have Been a Payoff. This Case is so Old that the "13" year-old Girl is now "45," She could be a Grandmother. The District Attorney's Office has Made Such a Hash of it that I Doubt that Much Bad will Happen to Polanski, in Fact now He'll Get his Heart's Desire and be able to Legally Reside in the U.S. after this Thing Blows Over. Now We'll Once Again get to Hear Polanski Explain the Righteousness of His Actions by Saying, She Was a Woo-Mon. I Don't See Why Somebody Would Think that Dave Letterman Could be Extorted Over the Revelation that he Had had Sex with Female Staff Members, There was no Mention of Coercion, So What. We're Suprised that Old Dave had that much Life in Him, Letterman Himself will now Have Street Cred. Scarlett the Heroic Cat died on October 17, 2008 from Multiple Illnesses. On March 30, 1996 Firemen Put Out a Fire that had Gutted an Abandoned Brooklyn Garage. Firemen Saw a Badly Burned and Bleeding Cat bring Her Kittens out of the Garage One by One Even though Her Eyes were Blistered Shut. This Cat was Then Seen to Count her Kittens by Touching Them with her Nose Until She was Sure that She had Gotten All Five Out, She Then Collapsed into Unconsciousness. Better than Some Human Mothers We've Heard Of, the Firemen took the Cat and her Kittens to an Animal Shelter. Her Actions Received Widespread Acclaim and the Homeless Cat was Named Scarlett. A Month Later One of Scarlett's Kittens died from the Effects of Smoke Inhalation but 3 Months after the Fire Scarlett now Fully Recovered from her Wounds and Her Surviving 4 Kittens were Adopted Out to Good Homes. By All Accounts Scarlett Lived a Life of Pampered Luxury as the Queen of Her Domain Until Her Death a Year Ago.

It's about time that Roman Polanski is going to get what he deserves. This Foreigner didn't Have to be Allowed into this Country and then Allowed to Prosper Greatly and How did he Repay Our Kindness? He Commits this Crime and then Flees the Country to Avoid Going to Prison but Believes that He's a Special Person who shouldn't be Punished. Susan Atkins just Died, it's Strange how the Threads of this Case are Coming Together, Polanski would have had a Son, "40," today. She was a Woo---Mon.....Cris Arreola did real well under the Circumstances, Klitschko said, he has a Great, Great Chin. Arreola's Corner was Wise to Throw in the Towel after the 10th Round, in his Desperation Cris Could have gotten Badly Hurt. As it is Cris made a Lot of Money, had a Good Boxing Lesson and can go on to Better Things in Boxing so Long as he avoids the Klitschkos. They showed Arreola's Wife and little girl in the Crowd, his Wife was Pretty Fine, Classy-Looking, you wouldn't think it, you'd think Arreola's Wife would be some Tattooed Skank, the Female Version of Himself. Cris Aspires to Better than Himself, Good. When I was in 10th and 11th Grade my Parents signed me up for a 1-Day Retreat. Both Years this was in January, this was for Catholic Boys who went to Public School and was Held at St. Peter's on the other side of Akron. There were a lot of Boys there from Firestone High. This was on a Saturday, you go to Mass and Pray all day. But each time We also had a Speaker and for the Retreat in January, 1963 our Speaker was Father Charles Dismas Clark, "the Hoodlum Priest." In 1961 there was quite a Good Movie titled,"Hoodlum Priest," based on the Life of Father Clark. I was Really Impressed that our Speaker was this Guy who had had a Movie Made about Him. Charles Dismas Clark was born in 1901 and was one of 13 Children of a Pennsylvania Coal Miner. He became a Priest and in 1933 a Judge in St. Louis invited him to come to His Courtroom to View "....The Hopelessness and Suffering of the Offenders....." After That Father Clark visited Jails and Prisons and became an Advocate of Prison Reform and Rehabilitaton. In 1959 Father Clark and Morris Shenker, a St. Louis Defense Attorney Started "Dismas House" with 60 Ex-Cons. Non-Sectarian, this was the First Halfway House in the Country. Father Clark Envisioned a Place where "....Friendless, Homeless, Powerless Men Could Have Lodging, Food, Clothes and a Helping Hand until they Found a Job....." I've often thought that if Somebody gets out of Prison without a Decent Job to go to that he would of course reoffend. Most of Us Know that it can be Hard to Find a Job, so How does Somebody get a Job if they Have Prison Convict on their Resume. Society Should Get these People a Job. There was much Initial Criticism of "Dismas House" but the Charismatic Father Clark got his Way and Today Halfway Houses are Commonplace throughout the Country. I Heard Father Clark Speak only Months before he Died in August, 1963, by that Time 2000 Ex-Cons had Passed Through Dismas House and only 5% had Gone Back to Prison. We often don't acknowledge the Influence that our Parents have on our lives, Dismas was "the Good Thief."

Steve Bornfeld, sbornfeld@reviewjournal.com, Writes a Very Good Colum for the RJ and Recently has Used His Nimble Literary Wit to Describe the Ongoing Corruption Scandal at the Local ABC Affiliate. Tonight Vitali Klitschko faces Cristobal Arreola at the Staples Center in L.A. for the WBC Heavyweight Championship which Klitschko Holds. Vitali and his Brother Vladimir, who I've Seen Fight, are the 2 Best Heavyweights in the World. Ukranian, their Father was a Soviet Air Force Colonel and Both Have PhD's in Physical Education. 8 Years Ago Vladimir tried to get a Library Card at the Flamingo Library in Las Vegas, he was Turned Away Because he had no Picture ID. Returning with the Required ID a Couple Days Later There Was a Big Picture in the RJ of Vlad Proudly Holding Up His Library Card. In the Accompanying Article Vladimir Said That the World is a Jungle and the Only Way to Survive is by Being Strong and that the Way to do That is by Studying Books and That He Wants People to do This. A Couple Years Ago Vitali Ran for but Lost the Race for Mayor of Kiev. The Klitschkos are sort of like Fine Men. By the 2nd Round Cris is going to Forget that he's Fighting for the Mexican People who Have Never had a Heavyweight Champion or that he's Fighting for his Grandmother or that He's Fighting for Whatever or Whomever in that He'll be Feeling the Good Doctor's Ministrations in Resounding Thuds on his Noggin. He'll then Begin to Think of How he'll be able to Survive in this Activity in Which all Weaknesses are Layed Bare. I See Arreola putting up a Good Fight but Being Stopped say in the 6th Round. I'll be Watching It at the Palms Sportsbook, Stop in. While I was in Buenos Aires I Immersed Myself in the Tango. The Tango Began in the Brothels of B.A. in the 1890's and Gained Respectability in Paris in the 1920's. I Went to 2 Tango Dinners and Shows Neither of Which was as Good as La Ventana 2 Years Ago. The One Show Began with 2 Knifefighters Circling Each Other in a Nod to Tango's Steamy Origins. The "Goncho" or Hook in Which one Partner Puts His or Her Leg Quickly In Between the Length of His Partner's Legs is the Most Sensual Movement in All of Dance and Can Only be Done by People in Their 20's and Few of Them. To Watch Excellent Tango Dancers is Very Exciting. I Took 4 Tango Lessons at the "Confiteria Ideal," a Hundred Year Old Tango Dance Hall. I Took l There 2 Years Ago, Each Lesson Lasts 2 and a Half Hours and Costs $7, Usually Around l P.M. Almost Every Day, Just Show Up, and the Girl Instructor at One Point Said, Dance with These Women, I replied None of Them Will Dance with Me (I wasn't too adroit), so She Said, Then Dance by Yourself. And I Did and Also at Times on this Past Trip. It Doesn't Pay to be Overly Proud in this Life (it takes 2 to Tango?). No, They Have Fine Instructors and I Love Them All and I Love the Confiteria Ideal. This Completes My Trip, I Think That I Might Have Given you Girls Fancy Ideas About Yourselves Going to Iguazu Falls and Seeing the "Devil's Throat" and Perhaps Having a Man Put a Butterfly on Your Shoulder, and I Must Ask You, as I Did for the Galapagos, Not to Go There, It's Too Much for You. I Hope that You All Have Enjoyed Reading About the Places that I've Been on My Trip as Much as I Enjoyed Being There.

The First "Monday Night Football" Game was September 21, 1970 with the Cleveland Browns Playing and Defeating the New York Jets 31-21. It was the Idea of Art Modell, the Owner of the Browns and so They Gave Him the First One. My Younger Brother Tom was a Senior in High School and He and his Friends Went Up to Cleveland from Akron to See This. All We Knew was that it was a NFL Game on a Strange Night, Nobody Knew That it was Going to Become a National Institution. That Tom Would Be Doing a Hundred-Mile Roundtrip in Going to This on a School Night Would Indicate that He Liked to Have a Good Time. Poor, poor Tom. From Rosario I took a 4-Hour Bus Ride to Buenos Aires. Marshall Loeb in his Column Called Buenos Aires the "Paris of South America." Actually There's no Louvre Facsimile or Anything Else that Reminds Me of Paris There, I Guess What Marshall Meant Was That It's a Real Good Place and That You'll Be Glad That You Went There. I Went to the "Boca Juniors Stadium" in the La Boca Section of Buenos Aires Where Native Son Diego Maradona Once Starred, Many or Most Consider Maradona and Pele to be the Best Football (Soccer) Players of All-Time. I Looked at the Stadium and the Museum Within. I Stayed 5 Nights in the Hub of the City, just $23 a Night, Pretty Decent and Just Down From a Sheration. I Was Just in Buenos Aires 2 Years Before but Saw More and Did More This Time. I Had the "Bife Lomo," the Best Steak in the World, it Comes From Cattle Fed on the Grass of the Pampas. I Went to the Pink Presidential Palace From Which Balcony Eva Peron Would Charm an Adoring Crowd. A Movie and Stage Star she Married Juan Peron, the President of Argentina. A Champion of Women's Rights and of the Downtrodden, the Beautiful Evita died from Uternine Cancer when she was "33." Much of the Established Power said Hooray for Cancer and were glad to See the Last of Her but She is Mourned Even Today by the Masses That She Tried to Help. Going to the Cemeterio de la Recoleta and to Evita's Family Crypt (Maria Eva Duarte) is a Right of Passage for all Visitors to Buenos Aires. The Catedral Metropolitana right across from the Pink Palace has the Crypt of the Liberator, Jose de San Martin. Most of What I Saw and Did in Buenos Aires I Just Walked to but for Things Further Out, the Stadium called "Lo Boca" and the Zoo (pretty good) I Used B.A.'s Excellent Subway Sytem (a City of 13 Million Needs One).

Lately There's Been a Lot in the Local Newspaper About Corruption in the Media, a Rising Movement, I'll Bet There's Many Who Would Enjoy Having Your Jobs and they will. Tonight Juan Manuel Marquez Fights Floyd Mayweather at the MGM here in Las Vegas. It Was Recently Revealed that One of Marquez' Training Methods is to Drink His Own Urine Twice a Day (he says that it tastes a lot better in the morning). Juan Says that he Has Been Doing This for His Last Few Fights (so over the past few years) and that it Replenishes Lost Nutrients (guess so). I've Been Alive for a Long Time and Have Been a Few Places and Try to Keep Up on Things and Have Never Heard of Anything Like This. Roger Mayweather, Floyd's Uncle and Trainer Had a Humerous Quote in the Newspaper Concerning This. We Can See Where One Might Be Able to Do This. I Saw Roger in his Youth Fight at the old "Showboat." This Was 22 Years Ago and the "Showboat" Stopped Having Boxing about 21 Years Ago. At Another Boxing Card Elsewhere I Commented to an Older Guy that the Showboat had Rather a Seedy Atmosphere and he said,"That's What I Liked About It, That It Was So Trashy." If You're Gonna Have Any Fun You've Gotta Walk On the Wild Side. So Far As Juan Manuel's Predilection for Drinking Urine, Should This Become Trendy I Think I'll Have to Leave It Alone. I Take a Lot of Vits and Mins, That'll Have to Do It for Me. So Far as This Mega-Fight Tonight I See Mayweather as Being a Lot Bigger Than Marquez and that his Unique Rolling-Shoulder Defense as Being Hard for Marquez to Penetrate. Marquez is a Very Accomplished Boxer and a Tough Son-of-a-Gun and I'm Sure that Mayweather Won't Be Able to Take Him Out so I See the Fight Going the Distance with Mayweather Winning. Oh, "Cox Communications" Sent Me a Letter of Apology Concerning that Money that They Japped Me Out Of and That They're Going to Send Me a Check for It. I Had Already Put Forth a Big Effort and It Hadn't Done Me Any Good, What, This Blog Did It For Me? The Squeeky Wheel........ Instead of You People Thinking for Yourselves With Your Weak Little Brains Which Has Resulted Only in Error, You Should Instead Listen to the Wise Old Ed.

Ohio State Has Lost Their Last 6 Games Against Very Good Opponents, it's Very Discouraging. Jim Tressel got Rich Quick by Winning the BCS National Championship in Only His 2nd Year at Ohio State and Only His 2nd Year as a Division 1-A Head Coach by Beating Miami even though a 14 Point Underdog but He hasn't done Anything Nearly so Worthy Since. There's Only 3 Great Coaches in College Football Today: Urban Meyer at Florida, Mack Brown at Texas and last but not Least Pete Carroll at Southern Cal. Jim Tressel is in the Next Tier of Coaches and is the Best That Ohio State Can Have, the 3 Great Ones Aren't Going Anywhere. And Jim is a Huge Step Up Over His Predecessor, John Cooper Who Had a Losing Record His First Year Which Portend of Things to Come, Cooper's Record Against Michigan was 2-11-1 and 7 Times in his 13 Years at Ohio State he Lost to Michigan and then Went On to Lose His Bowl Game. The People of Ohio Let This Putz Keep His Job Long After He Revealed Himself to be Incompetent. Without Making a Joke It Made Me Glad That I Had Left Ohio. Maybe Tres Should Take the Dale Carnegie Course, Couldn't Hurt. Of Great Interest is the September 26 Heavyweight Fight at Staple Center in L.A. Between Chris Arreola and Vitali Klitschko. I'd Like to See It but Don't Want to Go to L.A. just for the One Thing. I've Seen the Lakers Play There, Lots of Bad Seats in That Big Barn Although It'd be Good to Have Any Seat For That. Cristobal Arreola is a Mexican-American From Riverside And Due to His Power and Determination Has a "Puncher's Chance" Against Anybody. Many of the Mexican Boxers Are Willing to Die in the Ring and Arreola says,"......I'll Fight to My Last Breath......" And He Well May Have to Do This as Klitschko is One of the Best Boxers in the World. The Likeable Arreola was Asked if the Reason He Had so Many Tall Sparring Partners was so That They Could Emulate the 6'7'' Klitschko, He Replied, "......Of Course, Yeah......"

Why isn't the Mexican Olympic Team Any Good? They Don't Have Anybody Left Who Can Run, Jump or Swim. This Past Saturday Night I Watched Ohio State Play Southern Cal in Football. The SC Quarterback, Matt Barkley, is a True Freshman and I Never Thought One Could Start for Team Like SC and Not Only That But Play So Well in Front of 106,000 in an Away Game. I Had Heard of Barkley Even When He Was a Junior in High School at Mater Dei, Like Mickey Mantle in his 1951 Rookie Card, the Fair-Haired Boy, Splendid Youth.

All 19 of the Hijackers on 9-11 had had Legal Status in this Country, this Country is Dying by its Own Hand, a Suicide. Warren and I have Something in Common, we're Both Graduates of the "Dale Carnegie Course." Where I Worked at Payed for My Taking It, I Took the Basic Course, there Were a Lot of Salesmen in There. I Won for the "Most Enthusiastic" Speech, I was Almost Leaping About, in fact I Was Doing This, Well, it was Getting Late in the Course and I hadn't Won Anything, It was No Time for Half-Measures. And I had That Pencil for a Very Long Time. You Learn a Lot of Great Things in the Dale Carnegie Course that will Stand you In Good Stead for the Rest of Your Life. Although the U.S. has only 5% of the World's Population it has 60% of its Lawyers. Not Many Societies have Litigated Themselves to Greatness and this Won't Be the First. The Primary Purpose of Litigation of Any Type is so That Lawyers Can Make Money. Generally Lawyers Are a Drain on Our Declared System of Free Enterprise. That Incident at Harvard with that Professor of African-Americans Studies, Henry Gates, Really Made Me Think. There Were No Great Cities in Sub-Sahara Africa, you Never Hear of Any Excavations There because Everybody Was Living in a Grass Shack or Something Similar. For Most of Their History in America African-Americans have been Slaves, there's not that Much to Their Background that an Entire University Department would be Devoted to it, a Few Courses Maybe. Would a Really Bright Person be a Professor of This. I Never Have Thought that if I Yelled at a Policeman During the Performance of His Duties that it Would Turn Out Well for Me. The Picture of that Little Fool Grousing at that Cop Looked Bad.

I liked All Those Car Songs from the 60's, I can't remember any since. "Little GTO You're Really Lookin' Fine, 3 Deuces and a 4-Speed and a 389, Listen to Her Tackin' Up Now, Listen to Her Whi-i-ine.....Gonna Save All of My Mo-ney to buy a GTO......" From Cordoba I took the Bus for 6 Hours to Rosario, a City of 900,000. A Real Nice Place, I enjoyed Walking Around in it and Went down to the Parana River (Yeah, it's a long river) to the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera, the Monument to the Flag, which is also the Crypt of Argentina's Flag Designer and One of Their Early Heroes, General Manuel Belgrano. It's a Very High Tower which I Went Up by Elevator and Where I Could See All of Rosario. To Do All This Was Very Exciting. I Went to Their Impressive Cathedral and their Nice Museums. I Walked to Entre Rios 480, the First Residence of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna after he was Born in 1928, Designed by the Reknowned Architect Alejandro Bustillo, Then and Now a Very Upscale Apartment Building, the First Home of "Che." I Went Inside but when I Tried to go up to the 2nd Floor which was Where Their Apartment Was, the Superintendent Said, No, No. Born to Educated People and in Comfortable Surroundings Che early on Developed an Intense Sympathy for the Poverty-Stricken Masses of South America. Taking a Break from his Studies Che took a Motorcycle Trip Around South America in 1951, after a Year he Returned to the University of Buenos Aires where he Completed his Courses and Received his M.D., Che was a Doctor. Functioning Only a Few Years in his Chosen Field Che Instead Embarked on a Struggle for World Revolution Ending in his Death in Bolivia in 1967.

I think that Michelle looks pretty good especially for a woman in her 40's, many of these are fat, most of the others don't look too good either. The Obama daughters seem like good girls, pretty nice family. Barack comes from a broken-home and has improved on it. Chelsea Clinton was a good girl, scoring in the upper 1 percentile on the National Merit Scholarship Test and going off to Stanford a year younger than you'd expect. Chelsea didn't get misdemeanors, Chelsea didn't face a mandatory jail sentence for her next one. Bush the Younger has a DUI, Cheney has 2. For ordinary Americans you can't even go to Canada if you have a DUI, I've known 2 who were turned back at the border. Rock and Roll. Bush the Elder won a Distinguished Flying Cross in WW II when his 3-man bomber was shot down and he was the only one to parachute and survive. He didn't even drop his bombs, he did nothing constructive in the slightest on this mission and won a DFC. Not as hard to get if you're the son of a U.S. Senator. In her youth, Laura Bush accidentally killed a friend of hers with her bad driving. One of Cheney's 2 daughters has sex with other women. Many Billions of dollars have been embezzled in this Iraq and Afghanistan never-ending fiasco, a lot of times Corrupt Foreigners have been entrusted with Billions that there is no accounting for, they've just been given mega-dollars without having to show what they did with them. We know what they did with them, kept this largesse for themselves except for that portion that they siphoned off to Bush, Cheney and their cronies. The American Public is a quart-low for twice electing Bush the Younger as President, they're going to get what they deserve but I don't deserve this, they're dragging me down with them, these Losers are trying to turn me into one and I'm not too happy about this. On a lighter note they should release Susan Atkins from prison, she's been locked up for almost 40 years and you can't do much more to somebody, the full-measure has been taken of her, let her die in the Sunshine. I don't miss Ted Kennedy, glad to see the last of him, Senator for Life, the people of Massachusetts can exercise some imagination and come up with another name, well wait, they don't, they pretty much have to. I've sat in the Senate Gallery and heard him speak, known for talking loud. The only 2 real good ones have been dead since the 60's so what's with this Kennedy thing? Michael Skakel had to go to prison when he was "40" largely due to boasting over the years that nothing could happen to him since he was a Kennedy, that he could get away with murder.

Hi Ho Everyone. I See where they just Awarded the "Daytime Emmys." I was so Disappointed, I Should have received one for the newly created "Best Telepathist" Category. I've done a lot for this Country, Can Any of You Say This? I just paid Rent for the next Month and a Half, I'm in no Rush for Anything, My Time is Your Time. I have a Real Nice 1-Bedroom Apartment, furnished, all utilities paid, Cable TV, Phone and Phone Service and Internet Included, Place is Loaded, I Live Damn Good. Rents have Come Down a Lot, I Still Hate Giving Them All that Money. They Gave me 30 Coupons for Free Meals at 2 Casinos, I Give These to the Girls Who Work at my Health Club, They Don't Make Much. They Like Them, Say the Meals are "Awesome." Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) is One of my Favorite Artists. Italian of Jewish Descent he Worked Primarily in Paris. Not Many Artists are Jewish, Marc Chagall, do Other Things. Never Successful in his Lifetime, he Only had One Exhibition and often exchanged his Paintings for Meals in Restaurants. He died at "35" from Tuberculosis exacerbated by Alcohol and Drugs. His Pregnant Girlfriend Survived Him by 2 Days, Leaping to Her Death.

I thought that "Taking Woodstock" was Good, would have liked to have been there, that Summer I was Fixing Roads for the County, I enjoyed it, got Around, lots of Sunshine and Greenery. On the Crew that I was on One of the Guys had been Killed 3 Years Before, Life is Fraught with Danger. By this Time Literally a Million People Would Have Heard that Kelly is Gay, Why She Lost her Commercials. Only in this Blog has been Written that Kelly is This, the Press in this Country is Lackluster at Best. I Kind of Like Kelly but that Trash at ABC Continues to Delude the Public. From Santa Fe I took a 10-Hour Bus to Cordoba, now I was in Northwest Argentina. A Big City of 1,272,000 it's Quite Good. Whatshismug who Won this Year's Masters is from Cordoba. Everything of Interest is either at the Plaza San Martin or Close to it. Of Interest is the 1577 Iglesia Cathedral and of course the 1645 Jesuit Iglesia de la Compania de Jesus whose Interior is a Masterpiece with a Wooden Ceiling which is an Inverted Ship's Hull. I really Enjoyed their Historical Museum and there were Other Niceties. Woodstock was about the Last Chance to see Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, Janis has always been one of my Favorites and I had 2 Albums of Hers long after she was Gone, the Last I Heard She still Sold 300,000 CD's a Year. A Few Years ago I Saw an Interview on TV with Her Sister who was a College Professor, Sounds Awfully Tame for the Sister of Janis Joplin.

You TV Media Clutch at Your Jobs like a Dog with a Meatbone. "Inglourious Basterds" was so Off-the-Wall and Weird that I don't advise Anyone to See it, One I Saw Recently that was Pretty Good was "Orphan." After Graduating from High School on May 24,2005 Natalee Holloway and 124 of her Fellow Graduates flew to the Dutch Island of Aruba for a 5-Day Celebration. During their Stay there was Much Debauchery, Endless Drunkenness and Room-Switching, the Holiday Inn told them not to Return. On May 30, 2005 the other 124 Flew Back to Alabama but Natalee Missed Her Flight. Immediately there was a Full-Scale Investigation at least by Aruban Standards and it was determined that Natalee was last seen with Joran van der Sloot, "17," and 2 Brothers of Indian Descent, Deepak Kalpoe, "21," and Satish Kalpoe, "18." They were seen in a Car with Her and Claimed to have Dropped Her Off at her Hotel. Seeing as How Natalee Vanished Without a "Trace" No Doubt They Had Something to do With Her Disappearance. Close as to What Happened is that Natalee Willingly had Sex with van der Sloot who was Actually Kind of Good-Looking But van der Sloot told his "Friends" to also have Sex with Natalee and this was Against Her Will as She Wouldn't Be Doing 3 at a Time and These Guys Were as Ugly as Sin. van der Sloot Enjoys Seeing Women in Degrading Circumstances and This Was Probably His Only Interest in the Kalpoes. Had This Been in the United States The Case Would Have Been Cracked Almost Immediately as Our Police are Halfway Decent, not so in Aruba. The Dutch like all the Western Europeans Have Pansy Laws, Pansy Investigations and Pansy Punishments. Also There Are Very Few Murders in the Dutch Antilles and They're Out of Practice Anyway. To Prevent Natalee From Telling the Police What Happened van der Sloot and the Kalpoes Murdered Her and Dumped Her Body 10 Miles Out in an Oil Drum and Nobody Will Ever Find It. On December 18, 2007 the Dutch Declared the Case Closed but Since then a Video has Surfaced with van der Sloot Saying that Natalee had Died and that He Had Disposed of her Body. van der Sloot and the Kalpoes have Been Arrested a Number of Times but Nothing Ever Came of it. I Mentioned that When I was in French Guiana Recently that on my Day-Trip to the French Penal Colony Islands off of Cayenne that I palled around for the day With an Upscale Young Dutch Guy named Joost. Joost told me that the Holloway Case was All Over the News in this Part of the World at That Time and that van der Sloot Now All Grown-Up Was in Thailand Seeking Women to Work in a Brothel in Holland. Not Liking the Scrutiny He Disappeared. When I Got to the Dutch Island of Curacao 4 Days Later It Was Much in the News There Almost 4 Years Since Natalee Vanished, Curacao is Right Next to Aruba. Even the Manager of the Flop That I Stayed At on Curacao Was Talking About It, He Was Staring Straight Ahead and Slowly Saying, Natalee Holloway. Natalee is Long Dead But the People in That Part of the World Are Taking Her Murder Seriously Despite the Feeble Efforts of the Dutch Government and So Should We. We Should Never Forget Natalee and Our Desire to See Her Killers Brought to Justice.

Like Everybody else I'd like to see Cowboys Stadium. But if it can Seat 120 Thousand as the Field is no Bigger than Anywhere Else then Most of Those are Bad Seats unless They're sitting in Each Other's Lap. Being from Akron I've been Following LeBron James' Career since he was in the 9th Grade. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary won the Mythical High School Basketball Championship when LeBron was a Senior, St. V beat the fabled Oak Hill when Every One of Oak Hill's first 12 Players were Better than Anybody St. V had Except for LeBron. After 10th Grade LeBron was only Considered to be the 2nd Best Player in the Country in his Class, he went to one of the Big Summer Camps, ABCD, Nike, one of Those, where the Guy who Was Supposed to be Better than LeBron Was and Tooled Him. It was Then that the Legend of LeBron was Born. LeBron has a Big Affection for old Broken-Down Akron, Cutsie. This Country's Economy would be Flush were it not for All These Illegal Aliens. Federal Laws have always been in Place forbidding Illegal Aliens from Entering and Residing in This Country but They Haven't Been Enforced. This has been Due to the Desire for the Cheap Labor that these Illegals Provided. But Many of Them are Criminals and Clog our Prisons after Committing Crimes against the Legal Population, They Breed like Rabbits and Due to an Incorrect Interpretation of the Constitution their Children are American Citizens. They Clog our Schools, they Clog Everything, They Cost a Fortune. This isn't Mexico or Central America. This didn't Happen Overnight it's Been Going on Unabated for 30 Years while the Media who Should have Been Speaking Against This Remained Largely Silent. The American Media Has Sold Our Birthright for a Bowl of Pottage, They Live for Today like Animals.

I see where Kelly has taken down that Bedraggled Picture of Herself from her Website, good, it was horrid. I worked with that Girl but there was no Straw for my Bricks. I was Talking with a long-time Friend of Mine yesterday, his Family has been Prominent in Business in Las Vegas for well over 50 Years. His Family had a Car Dealership for 25 Years and has a lot of Commercial Real Estate and other things. He was Complaining to me at Great Length that Nowadays he has to work Twice as Hard for Half as Much. His Property Taxes are the Same while Everything Else Costs More. The Veins in his Neck were Bulging, he went on and on. I'm Sending him to you Financial Experts so that you Salve Him with Wise and Soothing Counsel. From Posadas I took a 12-Hour Bus to Sante Fe, a City of 370,000. Nice old Things to see there such as the Templo de Santo Domingo, the Jesuit Iglesia de la Compania, the Convento y Museo de San Francisco and other Goodies. After Sightseeing there I took a bus across the Parana River to its Namesake, Parana, a city of 240,000 and there was a Nice Cathedral and Museums there as Well. Argentina is always very good and Pleasant, little Crime anywhere you just Walk Around Leisurely Doing as you Wish. I go into the Men's Restroom of course and I Notice that over a Third of Them Don't even Wash their Hands. I Wash my Hands, Wash Off the Faucet with Soapy Water and only Touch the Door Handle with a Paper Towel. Unfortunately Many of the Men that you Women Have are These Filthy Pigs.

I'm tired of Criticizing you Guys. An older guy who was Friend of Mine in my Youth had a Brother, his only Sibling, on the Submarine USS Bonefish which was reported "Missing" during WW II. But yes, they do know what happened to it. Apparently they told the families that the Submarine was Missing and presumed Lost and made no attempt to later say what Actually happened. A very Successful Hunter, the Bonefish sank 31 Enemy Vessels, it had gone into the Harbor of Toyama Wan in Japan and had sunk a Japanese Transport. But the Japanese weren't as Toothless as they had thought and Before they could get Away they Themselves were Sunk. There's a Memorial at Pearl Harbor to the Dead Submariners of WW II, it Says that they're on "Eternal Patrol." My Friend's Brother's Name is Listed there. People these days make a Big Deal out of Somebody Dying, my Friend just Stated matter of factly what he had been told had happened to his Brother. A Friend of Mine back in Akron's Mother's Brother was a fighter pilot in the Pacific and his Family was also told that he was "Missing." They also made no Big Deal about it, he had been "Missing" for 30 years and it's not like they Expected Him to Come Walking Through the Door Sometime. My Friend was the Oldest of 6 but was that Rarest of People, Somebody who had no lst Cousins, even I have 2. His Father was an only child as was my Father and his Mother had a Brother, her only Sibling, but he died Young. At St. Sebastian's to be One of 6 was Common, to be One of 10 wasn't Uncommon. I Used to Really Like to Talk to these Old Birds who had been in WW II. I can't do it anymore as They're Usually Dead but I'd Hear Some Stories. This One Guy who had been in the Battle of the Bulge told me that he Saw these French-Canadians Hang these 2 Young German Soldiers by their, uh, Midsections. He said they bent over 2 Young Trees, tied the Germans to them and Let Them Fly. He said that he thought that they died Pretty Quickly. No doubt "the Metis." The Guy telling the Story wouldn't have known the Metis from the Petit. The Metis were part French and part Indian, they Rebelled during the 1880's and fought a Number of Battles with the English, they were Rough People. They hung their Leader at the Mountie Post at Winnipeg, where I've been, they have a nice Mountie Museum there.

They're saying that Rick Pitino will have a hard time Recruiting now that his dalliance with a Woman in a Bar has been revealed, that the supposedly Relgious married Father of five will have a hard time Convincing College Prospects to attend Lousiville. I say that this will give Pitino Street Cred and enhance his Recruiting Ability. Jerry Tarkanian, the long-time Basketball Coach at UNLV, is at "77" in Tuff Shape. Back in Ohio in the early 70's We used to lay on our little beds during the Winter and read with Awe of this Program-Builder at Long Beach State whose Teams were threatening those of John Wooden at UCLA. I'm still Wondering how Tark got Eddie Ratliff, his 2 Time All-American, to go there. Ratliff and Dwight Lamar at Southwest Louisiana State were both 1st Team All-Americans and teammates at Columbus East. I'm wondering the Same Thing about Lamar. Before Tark came to UNLV Las Vegas was only known as Sin City, after Tark they were known for something that was held in High Esteem, a long-time Very Successful Basketball Program. Jerry's Mother had fled on horseback from a burning village in Armenia after having seen her Father and Brother beheaded by the Turks. The sad-eyed Coach always came across as a Survivor in his long battle with the NCAA and even his own College President, hopefully he'll continue in this as Jerry Tarkanian is a great Las Vegan. In late February I sent Cox Cable a $30 payment for the coming month's Internet and I wrote on that Thing that you send in with the Payment that I wanted Internet Service discontinued on March 9 and to give me a Credit. Most people would think that this would suffice but I return to this Country, get my mail and learn that Cox Cable had continued supplying me with Internet Service at this Apartment that I had vacated. I called Cox and they said that I should have called it in instead of writing it on the Invoice and that they were entitled to keep my $50 deposit as well as giving me no credit for that part of the month that I was out of the Country. I complained to the Nevada Public Utilities Commission and they wrote me that they couldn't Reason with Cox and I should get another Internet Service. A friend of me told me that Cox continued to bill his Father even though he had told them that his Father had died, even going to their Office 4 Times and once taking in a Copy of his Father's Death Certificate. He dropped Cox. The Las Vegas Better Business Bureau told me that they'd had 205 Complaints about Cox over the past 3 Years. Cox Cable is the 3rd Largest Company of its kind in the Country but comes across as a Lax and Dishonest Stable. I have no money to give Cox that they don't deserve and will continue in my Efforts to gain a Just Resolution.

I was just reading in today's newspaper about some Young Guy in Iran who was involved in the Recent Unrest there and how he was Tortured and Killed (nails pulled out, teeth knocked out, rectum ripped open, etc). When I belonged to Amnesty International we never sent Letters to Iran on behalf of people who we Wanted to see Released from Prison because if we did they'd just Kill them outright. Many low Swine dwell there. I went to an Oxygen Bar at the Del Mar Fair, always wanted to do that, and afterwards I bought a couple small Canisters of 90% pure Oxygen. Ever since before I go to the Gym I've been taking a few Hits of this before I go to the Car. Makes you lightheaded but seems to work well, I've had Good Workouts. But I don't think that my driving to the Gym is as Sharp as it usually is. I don't want you People to do this, I'm sure it'll go awry, you'll get in an Accident, maybe OD. Typically the Air that we breathe is 21% Oxygen, after I Inhale the 90% Oxygen it makes the Outdoor Air taste like Stale Smoke. For Decades after I take a long, hot Shower in the Morning instead of Toweling Off I Spray my Entire Body with 91% or higher Alcohol and let it Dry. My Parents were very Hygienic and I've improved on this. Don't you People do this, you'll set yourselves on Fire or Something. A year ago I was passing a pay-phone and 4 People who said that they were from Kazakhstan asked me how to make a Long-Distance Call. I couldn't help but sing "...Kazakhstan is the Greatest Country in the World, All the Other Countries are Ruled by Little Girls..." Nobody Smiled. I showed them how to use the Pay-Phone and even chipped in a couple quarters so we parted with them Seemingly Happy with me. Seemed like Pretty Good People. From Iguazu Falls I took the Bus to Posadas, a Pleasant 6-Hour Bus Trip. Posadas is on the Parana River and is right across from Paraguay. A City of a quarter-million there's Not too much to See but I enjoyed Walking Around in their Downtown. I was also able to buy the "Buenos Aires Herald" even though I was quite far from Buenos Aires. A very good English-Language Newspaper I often bought it during my 12 Day Stay in Argentina.

A couple of days ago I gave Blood yet again. The Preemies have never done anything for me and probably never will but if You can do Something for Somebody you should just pitch in and Do It. You might not know what I'm talking about. At times the Employees have Chortled with Glee while I'm being drained of the Blood that they're so Thirsty For, eh Take their Work Seriously. The "Dan Hodge Trophy" is awarded each year to the Outstanding Wrestler in Collegiate Wrestling. It's named after Dan Hodge who was a 3-time NCAA Champion who had a perfect record of 46-0 while at the U. of Oklahoma. Born in 1932 Dan's mother died when he was "12" and his father took him to live with relatives on a farm while he worked in the oil fields. Dan said, "...They used to hit me. I wanted to get so strong that the next hand that hit me, I could break that hand." A Sports Star in High School Dan won a Scholarship to the U. of O. and afterwards was a 2-time Olympian and won a Silver Medal in the 1956 Olympics. Dan Hodge then became a professional Heavyweight Boxer posting a very good record of 8-2 before he launched a Lengthy and Lucrative Career as a Professional Wrestler. I was watching the 2006 NCAA Wrestling Championships on TV and the "74" year old Dan Hodge was helping with TV Analysis when a young guy in passing casually handed Dan Hodge an Apple, it looked like a big Red Delicious. The Old Man Squeezed the Apple with his Right Hand for 10 Seconds until all the Juice had Run Out.

I don't think that you're Bad People per se, I think that you're somewhat Ethically Challenged and don't have much Farsight, you sort of live for today like Animals. How did I get involved with you People, I'm not a Social Worker. George Sodini who shot those poor Women at that L.A. Fitness near Pittsburg seemed rational from his Writings that I've seen, it would seem like he could have dug Somebody up. Those Women never did anything to him. Society is in a Freefall, after Sodini's Rampage I read that somebody named Wong killed 13 People and himself in April when I was out of the Country. 2 Years ago that Cho killed 32 people at Va. Tech, so that's 45 People and themselves between the 2 of them. Some of these Orientals seem have problems adjusting to this Country. A lot of People are better off staying where they're at. August 6 marked the 64th Anniversary of the 1st Atomic Bomb being dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. It immediately killed 70 thousand people. Even though Japan had lost the War in the Pacific those Silly Japs still hadn't given up, Something drastic had to be done. I've been to Hiroshima, I was so Proud. Colonel Paul Tibbets was so Wracked by guilt that he returned to Base, ate, had 2 Beers and went to Sleep, he died a couple years ago at "92." On July 26, 1945 the Battleship Indianapolis delivered the final Component for the A-Bomb that was to be dropped on Hiroshima to the Island of Tinian. The Indianapolis left Tinian and on July 30, 1945 it was Torpedoed by a Japanese Submarine. Of the 1196 Americans on the Indianapolis 900 made it into the Water but 5 days later there were only 317 Survivors as Many of the other Sailors had been Eaten by Sharks. It was said that it was much Easier to Die than it was to Live. The Sharkhunter in "Jaws" was based on a Survivor of the Indianapolis who had a Deep Hatred of Sharks. On the Atomic Bomb "Little Boy" that was dropped on Hiroshima was written "Remember the Indianapolis."

I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't fond of you furry little creatures. Although I have no Official Followers all of the Big Names in this Country read my Blog and Wait with Baited Breath for my Next Offering. Your Devotion to Myself is Moving. Bob Hayes is being admitted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A lot of People including myself think that Bob was the fastest human ever, that he would have surpassed those who came after him who ran on those Souped-Up Surfaces. When Bob Hayes was at Florida A&M he robbed a gas station or something and after his Pro Career with the Cowboys he went to Prison for Drug-Dealing. As I Mentioned, the Pro Football Hall of Fame isn't all that Finicky. A tragic figure who died at "58," Bob said that had Pro Track been as Lucrative then as it later became that you wouldn't have seen him in that Cowboys Uniform for 11 Years. He said, "...Why would I want to get beat up if I didn't have to?" Vladimir Lenin whose Plasticized Remains I've seen in Red Square said, "All of Life is a Fight." Ed says,"...All of Life is a Melodrama..." Your own Interpretations are Welcome. My older Brother, Bob, has at times displayed a lot of Energy. After he returned to Ohio State after being in the Army for a long time he was a Full Time Student and also worked at the Heidelberg South around the Campus (which at that time sold the 2nd largest volume of beer in that large and thirsty state) and even had a part-time job as well. The Owner, Hass, had a lot of Veterans of the 101st Airborne working at the South Berg, had a preference for these guys for some reason, and one of those was Benny Butkus. Benny was a tall, lanky guy who liked to work the Door and Check ID's in case anybody made trouble. I was told that Benny once ground his lit cigarette out on some guy's nose. The last that I heard of Benny he was a Banker.

The U.S. Economy would be Flush were it not for all these Illegal Aliens tearing up our Highways, Clogging them up, Greatly increasing the Crime Rate and Sponging our Social Services. This too is the Fault of the Media. Things could be a lot worse in my own Life, after all I could be one of you. Soon the late Derrick Thomas of the K.C. Chiefs will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Derrick died almost 10 years ago due to his own Bad Driving, he killed himself and Somebody else. Derrick was survived by his 9 children by 5 women, most of the relationship that he had with his children was that they saw him playing Football on TV. At least in Baseball they seem to think that you should have Moral Qualifications to be in their Hall of Fame. Although why Pete Rose should be in in any Case is beyond me. He has the Record for Most Hits in a Career but that's because he played for so long, he only hit .303 for his Career and only averaged 8 Home Runs a Year, what's so good about that? Mickey Mantle said, "...If I hit that many Singles I'd Wear a Dress..." I think this is what you Women do. When I was at Ohio State I knew Jim Stillwagon, we lived in the same place for awhile and often shot pool together. A lot of you Older Guys know the name. When Jim was a Sophomore Middle Guard at Ohio State they won an Outright National Championship, beating O.J. Simpson and SC in the Rose Bowl (O.J. played real well, the other guys didn't). When Stillwagon was a junior he was a 1st Team All-American, it was after this that I knew him. Every time that Jim saw me his face lit up with a big smile and he said, "How are you doing?" And I was just an average person, he's the only one in my life who treated me this way. As a senior Jim won the Outland Trophy for Best Lineman in the Country, he wasn't very big for a lineman but Jimmy knew how to play good. I think presently he owns a Memorabilia Shop in Columbus, I'm sure that he wouldn't remember me but I remember him.

The United States should have put a Man on Mars 20 Years ago, shows how Decadent this Country has Become. The Media Shares Much of the Blame for Our Downfall, You're Whores for that Paycheck, doesn't seem to bother you. From Nasca I took a Bus back to Lima so I could fly to Argentina. I arrived about 8 P.M. and took a taxi to the Airport. The Lima Airport is very good, amongst other amenities it has a 24-Hour Travel Agency and there I bought a ticket to Buenos Aires which I used 2 Hours Later. I arrived in B.A. early in the Morning and eventually made my way downtown where I cashed $500 in T X's into their Money. I then walked to their Bus Station and bought a ticket leaving for Iguazu Falls in a Couple Hours. I ate and relaxed in their Bus Station. My Bus was a Cama Bus (luxury) and I thoroughly enjoyed the 18-Hour Trip, they gave me good meals and I enjoyed looking out the Window at the Flat Plains of the Pampas. I arrived in Iguazu Falls about 8 A.M., ate more, found a nice room for $20 and went to their Bus Station for the Bus to the Falls. A Short Ride, I had been there on the Brazilian Side 19 years before, the Argentine Side is much better. I walked through their Rainforest which is also an Animal Preserve (one sign says in English that if you're attacked by a Wildcat that you should try to fend him off). Iguazu is higher than Niagara and has the greatest annual flow of water of any Waterfall in the World. By far the Most Impressive of the Falls is on the Argentine Side (two-thirds of the Falls are on the Argentine), this is called "Garganta del Diablo" which in English means the Devil's Throat. On the Walkways, Catwalks over the Falls you can get within 20 yards of the Devil's Throat and whereas Everybody else seemed to look for a few minutes and then walked on, I stood There transfixed for 2 Hours. I was Captivated by its Power and Beauty, I couldn't tear myself away. I eventually Walked Back through the Rainforest where amongst other Beings they have Lots of Butterflys. Some of these pretty Butterflys you could get to stay on your Finger. I had one on my Finger when 2 Girls Walked Past, the Nearer Grimaced as I put the Butterfly on her Bare Shoulder but as I walked away I heard her say to her friend, take my picture.

If you want to see what my brother Bob looks like in the flesh you can Google Bob Preusse and see an interview last Feb. about an upcoming Wrestling Meet. The Video makes his facial features bulge in the middle, he looks better than that of course anybody does. His voice is higher, he has the same voice as my Mother's brother. After the 6 Hour delay on the Pan American Highway my bus journeyed to Nasca. It was 10 A.M. and I took a taxi to the Airport. You can only see the famous Nasca Lines from the Air, it costs $55 for half an hour and you're up with a pilot and 3 other tourists. I wanted to also see the nearby Palpa Lines and paid for that as well but they couldn't get anybody else to do this so they refunded the additional money. At Nasca you see a Monkey, Spider, Condor, Human Figure and others and it's very good. These Lines were made 200 B.C. to 600 A.D. and Everybody today wonders what they represented, My opinion is they had nothing better to do. Maria Reiche was a German Lady who devoted most of her long life to the Nasca Lines. Reiche was a Mathematician and Archeologist who thought the Lines represented Astronomical Cycles. There's a Good Museum in what was her House that I enjoyed visiting, she died in 1998 at the age of "95." That evening I went to the Astronomy Lecture at the Maria Reiche Observatory and I enjoyed that a lot. I love that Stuff, I've gotta get me a Good Telescope, I've been thinking about that for a long time. Afterwards we went outside and the Lecturer had us all look through this Telescope at Saturn. You could see the Ring around it, it was Way Cool. With the 40th Anniversary of the Moon Landing it's been pointed out extensively that there's been nothing to Match this Accomplishment over the past 40 Years. Whereas at that time 4 % of the National Budget was devoted to NASA today it's less than 1 %, Disgrace, Disgrace.

I was Sorry to hear about the demise of Vernon Forrest, a well-known Good Guy and a Brave Fighter. I had seen him fight. You wonder how People are Capable of such Swinish Behavior. I saw the USA Basketball Team play this past Sat. Nite, it was half against the other. I saw Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, Kevin Love (whose halfcourt outlet pass is one of the true athletic beauties), the very good O.J. Mayo and others, some of the best Basketball Talent in the World. I just went to the Dentist and it's now been 10 years since I had a cavity. I also had all that Guck scraped off my teeth by Jan, who is the best I've had, a Scrapejob. I laugh when I read how they want schools to get their classroom size down to under 30. I graduated from the 8th Grade at St. Sebastian's in Akron, Ohio and I remember that of the 2 8th Grades, one had "55" and the other had "58." It was actually hard to learn due to the size and they spent half the day praying or going to Church, also some of the Nuns weren't Good Teachers. But on Comprehensive Tests they did well against the Public Schools, maybe it was all that praying. Sebastian had been a Roman Officer who became a Christian so the Romans tied him to a post and shot him full of Arrows, how he'd usually depicted. But a Woman took him Home and nursed him back to Health. Recovered, he confronted the Emperor Diocletian, saying Why do you persecute the Christians. Diocletian replied, Why I hadn't really thought about it, he then ordered Sebastian to be taken out and bludgeoned to death. On St. Sebastian's Feast Day everybody in the school got a big hard-candy Arrow. I usually just got B's and C's in School, yeah I tried hard, always came to school, studied, best I could do, Just Plain Folks, Just Plain Folks. My older brother, Bob, never went to Kindergarten, he had as good of grades as Anybody, say in High School he took all Advanced Placement Courses. In his 4th Year German Class he was one of 3 in it. He never studied at home, I never knew him to read a book from cover to cover. About all he read in the newspaper was the sportspage. He's a retired 30 year Federal Employee, he graduated from Ohio State with a degree in Business, to get his federal job he took a test and got a "94," he didn't study for it, he just walked in and took it. That plus 5 points for Veterans Preference gave him a "99." When he took the Interview the guy offered him the job at the end. What most people would consider to be a very good job he was offered just for showing up for the interview? Having already 3 years federal service for being in the Army, the least amount of vacation he ever got was 4 weeks. He retired at "55" and his pension is as stable as this country itself. I'm glad of this, I don't say have to worry about him being amongst the homeless. We're nothing alike, it's not like he's telepathic for example, he reminds me of "Grog," a Neandethal in the comic strip B.C., whose only utterance is "Grog." Both my brothers always had a lot of friends and could dig up a girl pretty easily so Others thought better of him than myself, maybe they're right.

In the Current "Ring" Magazine it said in Relation to the Clottey-Cotto Fight "...Many along press row thought that Clottey had won...," No Joke. Bob Arum continues to Soldier On with Cotto. Recently I was Watching a Tape on TV of the Feb. 24, 1989 Fight between Iran Barkley and Roberto Duran. This was at Middleweight and Barkley, related to Charles Barkley, appeared to be half again as Big as Duran who had Forged his Loftly Reputation at Lightweight. It was a tough, brutal Battle with the Fighters often Standing Toe to Toe and Trading Haymakers and you really Wondered how the much smaller Duran was able to do it. Duran, at "38" knocked Iran down in the 11th Round and won a Close Decision. Soon after this fight in Feb. 1989 I was reading an Article in one of these Boxing Magazines I buy about an Interview with Roberto a few days after the Fight with Barkley. Duran was asked how he was Able to Defeat the Heavily-Favored Barkley and it said that he Laughingly Replied, "...I didn't....." Also in the Same Interview Duran described Michael Nunn, the leading Middleweight at that time as "...A Queer and a Gay....." The Article ended with "...We're glad to see that Duran has retained his charm." A Couple Months later I was Reading that Roberto Duran was Making an Appearance at a 5-Star Hotel Relating to the WBC Middleweight Championship that he had won from Barkley. It said that the next morning that Duran was seen wearing cut-offs and a T-Shirt and "...Bounding past the Breakfast Buffet Line and Hostess with a Bounce seldom seen in His Step these Days for the Delicacies that Lay Within..." It then said that Duran loaded his plates and Sat Down and was Seen "...Eating Scrambled Eggs, although Seldom Considered to be Finger Food..." with his Hands. The Article was titled "No Mas Forks?" Roberto Duran is Considered to be by Many or even Most as the Best Lightweight of All Time, 135 pound limit, where he was called "Manos de Piedra," Hands of Stone, but he fought as high as 168 pounds Holding his Own Against the Best of Much Bigger Men. Robert was still Fighting at age "50" and doing pretty well, only Retiring after he was in a Serious Car Accident. Roberto Duran is one of the Most Worthy Members of the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota.

From Trujillo I went up to Lambayeque which is 3 Hours North on the Bus and Saw the Bruning Museum and the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. Dr. Walter Alva in 1987 discovered the Tomb of a Moche Warrior Priest which was full of Treasures which you can see at this Latter Museum and the Bruning is Good in its own Right. Other Tombs in Sipan were also Excavated and are Still Being Excavated. To be in these 2 Museums was Very Exciting as I had Heard of their Discoveries long ago. Being Me I had to go to Sipan itself 20 Miles Away near the Ocean so I had a taxi take me there and back. They have a nice Museum there but the Excavations that you can see Amount to a bunch of Big Holes in the Ground, what I Expected but I wanted to go There Anyway. Back to Trujillo and then by Bus to Lima, 10 Hours on the Pan American Highway and then another Bus to Nasca (Nazca). There was a 6 Hour Delay on the Pan American which only amounts to one Lane in Either Direction as there had been an Accident. This is Commonplace but the Lost Time was Irritating to Me. I Saw in the Paper where Travis Henry was Sentenced to Federal Prison for his Role in a Cocaine Operation. Henry had been a Talented Running Back for the Broncos who was known for Being Unable to pay his Child Support for his 11 Children by 10 Women. In the Las Vegas Newspaper it noted that he must have had 2 by One of Them, it Said he must have really loved her.

I've Given Blood 17 Times in Las Vegas and it would have been a Lot More Except that I've often been flagged for High Blood Pressure. It's Ordinarily Normal but the Thought of Giving 9% of my Body's Blood Supply Makes Me Nervous. For their Purposes I Have Rare Blood, not as Rare as You Think. It's AB Positive and also CMV Negative. They Cut my Pint 6 Ways and Give it to Preemies, Most People have the CMV Virus and that'll Kill a Preemie, I don't have it. I also don't have Herpes or Anything Sexually Transmitted or Anything Else, My Body's Pure, Well it is, Why I'm Wearing a White Shirt. I Went to the San Diego Zoo Recently, Best in the World. Costs Big Money to Get in but Packed on a Monday. I was There from 1 0:30 until 7. Taking the Bus is Sort of a Waste of Time, you've Gotta Walk the Walk. They used to have a Tasmanian Devil, was there the last time for me 7 Years Ago but None Now. Good, this Guy or Gal was so Lonely-Looking just like We'd be if We were the Only Person in the World. Hopefully Shipped Somewhere Where He found Romance (like in the Bugs Bunny Cartoons). They had about 10 Giant Galapagos Tortoises, about as Many as I saw in the Galapagos. They had 2 Pandas on Display, they have 5 but only 2 Displayed at a Time. They were Showing Gao Gao who is 17 and the Father of 3 Young Pandas. He was just sitting there Eating Bamboo. Also there was his daughter, Zhen Zhen, age 2 and She was a Ball of Fire. She was Climbing Trees, Hanging Upside Down, Falling Off and Rolling Down to the Concrete Embankment and Then Doing All This Over Again. Everybody was Laughing at Zhen Zhen's Antics, That was So Much Fun. It's Good to Commune with the Other Animals. 3 Months Ago I was at the Buenos Aires Zoo which was Quite Nice. Recently in the San Diego Newspaper they had a Story About Antonio Cromartie of the Chargers who had an Off-Season Last Year when at age "24" he was Constantly Besieged by Requests for Money from the 5 Mothers of his 7 Children. The Doctor that I See Every 4 Months is a little-girl Doctor, "40," Smart as Heck, I 've Seen Her for almost 7 Years. She had her only Child Recently (Said it's now or never). It was also a Lady Doctor who did my Skin Cancer Surgeries Recently, she's also real Good (I'm Very Critical, I filed a Complaint against 3 Doctors only recently). She's never been Married and is about "50." And both are very nice Ladies. So between the 2 of Them they have a Total of 1.

Obama Seems to be saying the Right Things in Africa, telling them that they have to Reform instead of Blaming Others. When Clinton was apologizing to Everybody for Everything he Apologized to the Africans for Slavery. One African Country's President said, Maybe it's the African Chiefs who should Apologize. All of the Black Slavery Began with Black Africans enslaving other Black Africans, either War Captives or Unpopular Members of the Tribe (you'd really know that you were unpopular). They'd then be sold to Traders, often Arabs, and taken to the Coast to be Sold yet again and then taken aboard Ships. Like Many of you I've bought a new General Motors car only to be disappointed. General Motors used to be the Epitome of Excellence and Mightiness in this Country and of course it no Longer is. When my Father was Officer-in-Charge of the Brook Park Tank Plant near Cleveland during the Korean War, Ed Cole was the Manager of the GM Plant outside of Cleveland. They were sort of the Same (my Father was a Reserve Officer, he didn't even Like the Army because they didn't produce anything Construcive). Ed was in our House in Akron (we never lived in Cleveland, we were Akronites), he and my Father were Friends. Later Ed rose to become the President of General Motors (1967 to 1973) and even then General Motors was Highly Esteemed. Ed Cole died piloting his own Plane at the age of "68," like Henry Ford a Michigan Farmboy with a Bit of Ambition. I'm willing to Bring Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox back to Strict Heterosexuality, I don't particularly want to but for the Weal I'm Willing to Make the Effort. They'll Gladly Lasor their Tatts for Me.

Humprey Bogart said that a hotdog at the Ballpark was better than steak at the Ritz. I arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador from the Galapagos and found a nice room for 20 U.S. and I explored the City. The largest City in Ecuador with 2 Million, there's much Poverty. No longer a Rough and Tumble Seaport the City has developed the Waterfront along the Guayas River with Malecon 2000 and it's fun to walk its Length. There's a Good Historical Museum there and I liked the Cathedral and Churches. Founded by the Spanish in 1538 I enjoyed Catting About the Place and seeing what Everybody was Up To. I was Fortunate to be able to buy a ticket for the bloated price of 65 U.S. and Ride Out on the Thursday before Good Friday to Trujillo, Peru. A 16 Hour Trip, on the Bus one can See the Countryside. I Arrived in Trujillo at 6 A.M. on Good Friday and was able to find a Hotel where I Stayed for 3 Nights. I saw the Ruins of the Moche and Chimu Civilizations at Chan Chan, the largest Adobe City in the World and at Huaca del Sol, the Temple of the Sun and Huaca de la Luna, the Temple of the Moon. These last 2 I saw with a German Couple who were there who Seemed like Nice People (they liked my Last Name) and we had a Nice Girl who spoke Good English to Show Us Around. I tipped her twice as Much as the German Couple. The Krauts are Notorious Cheapskates which is Embarassing to Me as Much of my Origins are This. On Easter Sunday I saw the Paso Horses Exhibition, these are descended from the Spanish Horses and are known for their smooth gait and Endurance. It was Very Theatrical and Good. Trujillo was founded by Juan Pizarro in 1534 and named after his hometown in Spain. They have Good Museums there particularly at the University and One that was in the Basement of a Gas Station.

I've always wanted to have a Charity, it's all you people's fault that I don't. You Media People are the Bane of Society, you are Truly Scum. You know this yourselves. Last Week I went to the Del Mar Fair, the 5th largest in the country and was there for 11 Hours. It's good to see all those pigs, cows, sheep, horses, etc., it makes you feel part of Nature. All the Farmgirls are Blonde, a Requirement? At night I saw "Creedence Clearwater Revisited" which has 2 original Members of the 4 from "Creedence Clearwater Revival," so that's plenty of Authenticity. Of course, John Fogarty is the Big One and he's doing his own thing, his older brother, Tom, died from AIDS in 1990 but the 3 should be together, it's too bad. They had 20 Hits, my favorite is "Tonight," that thing moves. I had a Great Time, it was Wonderful, I saw everything there. Yesterday, Sunday, I saw the Padres play the Dodgers with Chad Billingsley vs. Josh Banks. Banks left after 4 innings but Billingsley, who had hit a Home Run, was up 6-1 and throwing "99" in the 9th when he gave up a Home Run and a Single and was taken out. The Dodgers' Relief Pitching allowed Billingsley's runner to score plus, ha, ha, 3 more Runs to take away Chad's Victory, bet he was happy. Unfortunately, the Dodgers hit a Home Run in the 13th to win after the Padres' brave comeback. I was in the 10th row behind 1st Base, I like to sit in different places. 14 years ago I saw the Padres play the Astros at Qualcomm and was sitting in the 1st Row behind 1st Base. Jeff Bagwell, the 1st Baseman for the Astros had won the MVP the previous year and had signed a very fat contract. Bip Roberts of the Padres hit a grounder that the 2nd Baseman threw to Bagwell which he flubbed, one of you inept Women could have caught it. I yelled "Hey Butterfingers" and Bip Roberts who had reached 1st Base on Bagwell's Error patted Bagwell on the Shoulder in Response to the Fan's Taunt. I thought, I don't think I'll do that anymore.

I was sorry to hear about Billy Mays although I won't miss his commercials. Norman Brinker himself died earlier this month, the creator of the Salad Bar (you're grateful, admit it), he became ultrarich from "Bennigan's" and "Chili's." Everybody's been dying. "Operation Wetback," those were the Good Old Days. Have you read Vin's Column? I used to go see the "Classic Car Collection" at the Imperial Palace every year but haven't for the past 10 for some odd reason. Just scrounge inside for a Free Pass, I never paid. 250 cars worth 100 million dollars and all are for sale. Many are the cars of famous people like Hitler (solid rubber tires so they couldn't be shot out, oh those Clever Krauts), Leo Carillo, Pancho on the "Cisco Kid," a real likeable character and many others. Even you women would like this, I gotta go back. The last time I was there they had 17 Duesenbergs, some of the most high-performance, beautiful and elegant Cars ever built and a couple were for sale for 2 million dollars. Many of the Movie Stars of the 20's and 30's had one such as Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Howard Hughes had one. It gave rise to if something was really great "It's a Doozie."

Michael Jackson was very talented and a perfectionist, such people are usually flawed. When I was in Trinidad and Tobago I heard the Reggae version of "Human Nature" by Tarrus Riley which I like better than the original. I only see Kelly's hand in her personal dilemma, I don't feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for myself for being forced to associate with people who go around with their noses up in the air because they can talk and the Neanderthals probably couldn't. 2 weeks ago Joshua Clottey from Ghana fought Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico in Madison Square Garden on the eve of the annual Puerto Rican Parade. I had money on Clottey as I thought he would win a decision by a good margin and I was very happy with my bet until the Judge's Scorecards were read and Cotto was given a split-decision. About everybody who saw the fight thought that Clottey had won, I thought 7 Rounds to 5 and that wasn't counting Cotto throwing Clottey down and Cotto hitting Clottey in the back of the head, both Major Fouls. This was a "Bad Beat" for myself and I'm none to happy about it. Both Clottey and I were Licked-Off, it was an egregious Lick-Off. The Judges probably scored it before the Fight. Boxing has gotten so Corrupt that one is Loath to have anything to do with it. Bob Arum thinks that the Public wants to see Cotto fight Manny Pacquao but I don't see why as most people think that Cotto has lost 2 of his last 3 Fights. Bob was good in his day and I liked him but might be getting too old to cut the Mustard.

Today is my 62nd Birthday, I'm still surviving, hah. I like the President, I always did, nice clean-cut looking guy, I only questioned his qualifications. For the American People to elect Bush President twice they'd have to be a Quart-Low, they're dragging me down with them. ABC is Soldiering on with their image of Kelly Ripa, I have nothing against Kelly and I wish her well, I just think that the American People shouldn't be Deceived. In one of her current pictures Kelly appears Bedraggled and I'm sorry about that, we've all seen a lot worse than Kelly Ripa. San Diego has the worse roads in the Country, for about the past 17 years it's been this way. San Diego is a Wealthy City but all of its Money has been spent on Undeserving City Employees' Salaries and Pensions. You too can have your Axle bent and your Fine Car shaken to pieces. The World is overpopulated, probably should only be 4 billion at the most, I can't take any more of seeing all these poverty-stricken people as I travel about, I'm Saturated. I don't like to talk about myself but I'm one of the most Talented People in the World and I'd like to make some Money off my Ability. You Media People think you're so great, about anybody can talk, you have no talent. It's thought that the Neanderthals probably couldn't talk, maybe these are who you think you're Superior to. I'm forced to associate with you People, had I my Druthers, I wouldn't. Vin Suprynowicz writes a very good Column for the "Las Vegas Review-Journal" and on July 14, 2009 he wrote on Immigration. See http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/vin/. Although I think that legal immigration should be greatly curtailed. The U.S. looks about the same as these 3rd World Countries I go to. The Expression " the Whole Nine Yards" comes from that a belt of ammunition for Machine Guns on American Planes in the Pacific were 27 feet long such that a Gunner returning to base might say, Gave the Japs the Whole Nine Yards.

Last week I had skin cancer surgery on 5 places on my face and neck, use sunblock. Two days ago marked the 40th Anniversary of the death of Maureen Connolly. Born here in San Diego in 1934 to a family of modest means, Maureen began playing tennis on Municipal Courts and progressed so fast that she won the U.S. Open in 1951 at the age of "16." Before she was "20" Maureen had won 9 Grand Slam Events including those 9 in a row, she won 1 Australian, 2 French, 3 Wimbledon's, and 3 U.S. Open's. She once said that the tennis court was "...a jungle...a dark destiny...and I a lonely fear-stricken hunter..." A Cute Mick-Looking Girl, on July 20, 1954 Maureen was indulging in her life-long love of horses, she was riding when her right leg was crushed by a truck thus ending her Tennis Career. Maureen got on with her life and married Norman Brinker, a member of the U.S. Equestrian Team in 1952, and they had 2 daughters. Unfortunately her happy marriage and life were cut short when Maureen developed stomach cancer. "Little Mo," an American heroine, died on June 21, 1969 at the age of "34."

I told the 2 Swedish Girl Journalists about the Entire American Media Covering Up the Fact that TV Star Kelly Ripa was Gay and that this They had done for the Past 2 Years. These Swedish Journalists Said that That Was Impossible, That the Entire American Media Couldn't Possibly Be Bought Off. One of Them was So Worked Up that She could Hardly Talk, She Could Hardly Get the Words Out. Well, you Thousands of American Media People Reading This Blog Know That Unfortunately This is True. I asked These Girls if I Could Mention Their Names in My Blog and They Said No. I Said, The Evil and Powerful American Media Will Be Angry That You Sided With Me and Will Make Sure That You Lose Your Jobs and That You Never Work Again. I Said---You'll Starve To Death on the Streets of Stockhom as Martyrs to the Truth, That is So Romantic . What Girl Wouldn't Be Won by Such Pleasing Talk? The Young People on This Cruise Came from All Over, Stockholm, Israel, Australia, All Over the Map. Everybody Used Sunblock even the Israelis who were Dark Did This and I Was Glad of This From My Own Experiences. The Israelis didn't Talk to Anybody Else but They weren't Aloof, I thought they were allright, They Sort of Seemed Like the Same Person Except One was a Man and the Other a Woman. I Thought that Ben and Christina were Jewish and the Israelis had no Truck With Them. Ben taught Physics at a Medical School and Christina Worked in the Administration at Columbia U. and They had just Come From 2 weeks of Planting Seeds in Peru (There were All These Cutsie Goodie-Goods on the Cruise). Hopefully You Haven't Gotten All Excited About Going to the Galapagos Yourselves. You'll Just Clutter Up the Place and Drive Up Prices with More Dollars Chasing the Services. Besides It's Too Much for You. If you Must Go Somewhere You Can Go to Lake Erie or Someplace, Deal?

I was just Watching Jessica Andrews when She was "16" in "Unbreakable Heart," god was She Fine. ABC Continues to Play the Only Cards They LHave, ha, ha. Of the 16 Passengers 3 were Older French People who Left Halfway Through When Their 7 Days Were Up with Others Replacing Them, after that I was the Oldest at "62" on June 25 and Peter the 2nd Oldest at "37." The Passengers were Fine, Upscale Young People, 2 of Them were Good-Looking Swedish Girl Journalists who Were "27" and One of Them Had the Biggest Crush on Me, She Had It Bad. She Was a Fine Girl All the Way Around and I Wouldn't Mind Running into Her Yet Again. Included in the $800 were All Meals and They Were Pretty Good and Lots of Snacks. Everybody It Seemed Drank at Night and it was $2 for a Beer, all I had on the Entire Cruise was 2 Beers the First Night. We Trekked on the Various Islands and We Snorkeled and my Buoyancy has Really Gone Down Although My Land Movement is All Right. Most of You are Better in the Water Than Me. We Were Over Half the Galapagos Preserve which is 28,000 Sq. Miles, We were on Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Floreana, Espanola, and Santiago and Points In Between. It Was Really Quite the Experience I Daresay and I'm Looking Forward to Returning to the Galapagos and Doing Different Things Than Before. I had Penguins Swimming a Few Feet Past Me, I Had Friendly Sharks Around Me, I Saw Blue-Footed Boobies, Red-Throated Frigate Birds, Countless Sea Lions (don't get too Close, they Might Bite). It was After his 5-Year Voyage on the "Beagle" that Charles Darwin Wrote "The Origin of the Species" in 1859 and a Lot of That Was Learned from his Observations in the Galapagos, that Species Adapt and Evolve. Many People in this Country Don't Believe, they Believe That the World Began 6000 Years Ago, I Know People Like This. I Was Happy to See the Cruise End, After 7 Days of Sand in All My Clothes I Had Had Enough But I'm Looking Forward to Returning.

I landed at the Baltra Airport on Baltra Island on April 1 and it was there that I noticed a guy standing with a sign and I told him that I wanted to do a 1-Week Cruise, he motioned to some guy behind him, spoke a few words, and this other guy offered me this for $800. At the same time Freddie offered a Couple from Vancouver, Peter and Tracy, this for a total of $1500. I thought that I was going to Brazil and hadn't done any Research on the Galapagos and Peter struck me as a Bright With-It Guy so I told Peter if you go for it so will I. Peter saw the Boat, a 16-Passenger Boat with a 5-Man Crew including the Guide, and looked at the Itinerary and said OK so I said OK. Freddie took us to a Bank where I cashed $800 in Travelers Checks and Peter also dug up Money (In Ecuador they use the American Dollar as Their Currency) and we paid for our Cruise which began Immediately. We Took the Ferry from Baltra Island to Santa Cruz, this is Where Puerto Ayora is and from there we Went to a Preserve where they have Giant Tortoises, they're Huge. One was Lumbering Towards Us and I said He'll Be Here in 15 Minutes. The Animals in the Galapagos Preserve have no fear of Man as It's Illegal to Harm Them, I have a picture of Myself right next to a Giant Tortoise, There's only 200 in the Islands. It cost a Hundred Dollars just to Enter the Preserve, pay at the Airport, for the $800 (which they call 8 days, it's more like Six and Three-Quarters) you Share a Cabin with Somebody, in my Case it was Tomin, a "32" year-old Plumber from Denmark who had Saved his Money often Working Overtime for Cash and now was Making a Year-Long Trip in South America. If you meet People doing a Long Trip of 3 Months or More It's Almost Always Non-Americans, Americans Seldom do this, I Get Tired of Traveling Myself After About 47 Days. Tomin was a Neat Guy, he had gone into the Jungles of Brazil for 2 Months and Said that Every Bit of his Body was Covered with Mosquito Bites and that he hadn't even taken a Anti-Malarial. Tomin was a Viking and a Hardboy and Could Get Away With This, I Wouldn't Try It. I Mentioned that I paid $20 US for 20 Mefliquine in Georgetown, I Recently Asked at a "Target" Pharmacy how much they charged for the Same Thing and Was Told $164. You got to Figure that the Georgetown Pharmacy Makes a Profit So.......

Paramaribo's Airport is the same as Georgetown's, primitive, and from there I flew to Curacao which is one of the 5 Dutch Islands of the Lesser Antilles, near Venezuela, the remaining one is French. Curacao is all right and I enjoyed looking around and went Swimming. After a couple days I flew a little ways to the West to Bonaire because from there I could buy a ticket and fly to Guayaquil, Ecuador so that I could get to the Galapagos (When I Travel I Sort of Cast my Fate to the Wind). To fly to Bonaire from Curacao cost about $50. Bonaire only has about 14,000 People which is a tenth of Curacao's Population while being two-thirds as large, it has about the Best Diving in the World and is Truly an Island Paradise, I enjoyed it Good. Very Nice Layed-Back Place, nice little Town to Wander around in and I Went Swimming. I bought a ticket to Guayaquil for about $360 and flew there after a couple days, Bonaire was not too Expensive. I Arrived at Guayaquil's very nice Airport and Asked at their 2 Travel Agencies there and at Information about getting on a Cruise in the Galapagos Islands. It was determined that I'd actually have to just go there and see if I could get on a One-Week Cruise, that it couldn't be Arranged in Guayaquil on Short Notice. From my Travel Book it sounded like I might or might not get on a Cruise Quickly if I just Showed Up There. But I like to Gamble so I bought a Round-Trip to Puerto Ayora for $360 and flew out 2 Hours Later and Got Hooked-Up at the Airport in the Galapagos for a 7-Day Cruise that began Immediately and for the Bargain Price of $800.

I decided to return to Paramaribo, Suriname to try to get a Brazilian Visa at their Embassy. French Guiana is only 183,000 and due to the lack of population in the Guianas, that is Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana there is very limited Infrastructure, it's hard to go anywhere. Kourou has the French Space Center and two-thirds of the Commercial Satellite bin the World since 1980 are from there. Kourou is close to the Equator where the Earth spins much faster than elsewhere, that is you get the Slingshot Effect, Extra Propulsion for Launches, this is the Best Locati"on for This in the World. I went Overland back to St. Laurent and Crossed the Maroni River into Suriname, my Visa is good for 5 Years and Multiple Entry. These Black Guys in Albina wanted to talk to Me about Obama and I told them that Obama was "Cafe au Lait" which brought a General Laugh. Overland to Paramaribo and I was dropped off at the Brazilian Embassy where they told me that I'd have to wait 5 days for a Visa, I said I wouldn't. A Chap there offered to drop me off at a good Travel Agency and there another nice India Fellow, the Manager, sold me a ticket to Caracao for only $190. Caracao is a Dutch Island next to Aruba, where I was at long ago. He said that from here I could make my way to where I had said I wanted to go, the Galapagos Islands off of Ecuador. Strangely I had never heard of Curacao (correct spelling). Recently my friend, Scott, the Oddsmaker took me and another guy to the Hilton for Dinner using Comps. This was quite nice and we had a good time. I mentioned Scott around Valentine's Day. He's "38" and owns a nice house and car, never been Married, he looks Pretty Good. He's had his Picture and Quotes in "Sports Illustrated," although not recently. I noticed that his Interest in Girls was sort of Dormant, he's not, you know. Last year I brought him a Danica Patrick Calender to revive his Interest, he didn't want it. So I asked another guy, Brad, and he said "Surrrre." Brad teaches High School English and apparently doesn't mind that Danica is a 10th Grade Drop-Out, that she disdains the Educational Process, surrrre sounds that way. Scott is a Kind Person and I think with his Youth and Qualities that Some of You Girls might like him. Maybe you could revive his Interest by Dancing Around Him or Something.

Kourou is about 40 miles from the Capitol, Cayenne, and I went there by Public Transportation, from there I wanted to see the famous island French Penal Colonies. I couldn't find a hotel room for under $120, this Asian Family where the husband worked at the French Space Center in Kourou drove me about 6 or 7 miles trying to find a less expensive room, of all things. Then I asked people at the Wharf and this guy of India descent originally from Guyana named Shohan said that I should stay at his brother's place for free. I was reluctant but I sized Shohan up as a good-hearted chap who was sincere in trying to help me so I agreed. I stayed at his brother, Mohan's, place for 2 nights for free (bought us some beer). I try to come across as a Self-Assured Man of Confidence---I go to this Place and I'm Treated like some Poor Little Girl, What's the Deal? So the next morning I go to the Wharf and pay about $50 to go out on a Catamaran until about 5:30 P.M. on an all-day trip to the French Penal Colony Islands. It took an hour through very hard currents to get to the largest, Ile Royale. If you fell off the Catamaran that would be it for you due to the strong currents--you'd go under quickly. I paled around with a rich, young Dutch Guy named Yost all day. Yost was "33" and had made a lot of money but had developed an ulcer and was traveling for 2 years. Guy looked good, though, he said he didn't exercise and I told him that if he went to the gym twice a week that would probably cure his ulcer, I know a guy who did this. I saw so many old prison cells this day. There were Penal Colonies throughout French Guiana from 1852-1953, the Worst of the Worst they put on these Islands. From Royale we went to Ile St. Joseph which was quite close and we got very near to the Ile du Diable, Devil's Island, and were quite close to the stone building that housed Captain Alfred Dreyfuss, Devil's Island is quite small and is uninhabited and nobody today lands on it due to the Currents. Very Exciting to see Something that you've Always Heard About, eh? Ile St. Joseph was also quite interesting, I walked around both Royale and St. Joseph and swam off the Wharf at St. Joseph, no Current there. "Papillon" of course made these Islands even more famous. Written by Henry Charierre and largely Fiction, Charierre made no Escape Attempts and was Well-Behaved, a lot of his book is based on stories about Others even from 20 Years Before. But there quite possibly is a true Papillon in a Parisian about a hundred years old if he's still alive, Charles Brunier, who has an old Butterfly Tatoo on his Left Forearm and of Whom there were 3 Documented Escape Attempts. This was a truly Memorable Day and I'll Never Forget My Day touring the Iles du Salut and I'll always Remember the Kindness of Shohan and Mohan. Nobody's Here for a Long Time so Gotta Have a Good Time.

In 1667 New Amsterdam, present day New York City, was traded by the Dutch to the English for Suriname, yes it's true. From Paramaribo I went overland to Albina to cross the River into French Guiana. Albina was almost leveled in the Maroon Uprising of the 1980's but has made a comeback and I ate a nice lunch there. Many of the Africans didn't Cotton to Slavery and many ran away, in the Caribbean and South America they were often called Maroons. That term today refers to their descendents. In the 1800's the Dutch made several treaties with the Maroons, usually on the Maroons' Terms to avoid them Raiding the Plantations and Such. I crossed the River into French Guiana and waited 4 Hours for a Van to fill up for the two and a half hour Drive to Cayenne. I arrived in Cayenne on a Saturday Night and the Place was Alive with Streetwalkers and other Festivities. French Guiana is just a part of France and has the Euro, in Guyana they use the Guyanes Dollar and in Suriname they use the Surinamese Dollar. Guyana was my 101st Country in my Life and Suriname was my 102nd. Ya get into a Rut, at least I have, I Remember 30 Years ago back in Ohio Remarking to Somebody that I don't like to Travel. Cayenne, the Capitol, was pretty well Shut Down the next day, Sunday, but I enjoyed Walking Around, I walked a few Miles. Monday I saw their very good Museum and was in their Cathedral, I wanted to go to Brazil but their Consulate only would give a Visa to Residents of French Guiana. Then on to Kourou about 40 Miles Away. I was Reading the Current "Sports Illustrated" about the Perfect 12 Innings that Harvey Haddix pitched for the Pirates against the Braves in 1959 only to lose in the 13th, there's a picture of him on Page 64 and that is Some Form. Unfortunately I read Today about Kenneth Kahn, "66," a very Prominent Lawyer falling to his Death from the Mountain at the Machu Picchu. He defended Andrew Dalton Lee whose story was in "The Falcon and Snowman," a very good movie from 1985 with Sean Penn whose Acting Ability is so good that when he played the Hopped-Up Jewish Lawyer in "Carlito's Way" I didn't know that was Sean Penn until Years Later (You Guys knew it, You're Sharper Than Me) and he also defended Larry Flynt. I Climbed the Same Mountain 2 Years ago and I think I Commented in my Blog that a Misstep could lead to being Killed or Maimed. He was too Old to be doing this.

From Georgetown I went overland to the Corantijn River to cross over into Suriname. I had gotten my Visa for Suriname in Georgetown, the same day, and it cost $100 US, just to go to little insignificant Suriname. At the River I found out that I had been charged $20 US more than everybody else to go to Paramaribo, who had recommended this particular Overland Service? It was the Suriname Embassy and they also phoned and set it up while I sat there. The Guyanese people that I had traveled with told me "You were Licked-Off," and that what had happened to me was a "Lick-Off." When I told them that our Expression for this was a "Rip-Off" they thought that was very funny. Once the Ferry took us across the River I got in a big Buick with 4 other people and a driver to go to Paramaribo. The road to Paramaribo was one way in each direction and our driver often touched 135 K (90 miles an hour) while constantly passing vehicles by a couple feet and while sometimes talking on the phone or smoking a cigarette. I know skill when I see it and this guy had some, it made for an exciting ride. This chap dropped me off at a popular guesthouse and I got a decent room for twenty US. These people are in love with Birds particulary the Bacolet, sort of like a Finch. They have a Singing Competition on their Commons every Sunday and you'll see people carrying around a bird in a cage even going to work. One fellow that I spoke with carrying his bird to work with him was a Carpenter. This bird is also often called a Twatwa. Suriname is only 470,000 people and gained their Independence from Holland in 1975. I toured Fort Zeelandia and this was quite good, I pointed out to a guy who was working there that their Eternal Flame had gone out. In 1982 twelve prominent people were Murdered inside the Fort because the Ruling Party didn't Vtheir Politics. I saw a good downpour while I was walking around in Paramaribo, about the only rain I saw on my trip. Catting about in Paramaribo was Very Exciting. On Keizerstraat there's a beautiful Mosque with 4 Minarets, the most beautiful Mosque in the Caribbean or that part of South America and right next to it is a Synagogue, the Dutch Israeli Synagogue. But in Contrast to the Mosque the Synagogue is not so beautiful, in fact it's in Bad Need of a Good Roof. It's an Eyesore. Now if you Jewish Folk go without Lunch for a Week and Send that Money to the Synagogue so that they can Replace the Roof it Will be Greatly Appreciated especially by the Local Moslems.

I flew from Trinidad and Tobago on Caribbean Airline to Georgetown, Guyana by reputation one of the roughest cities in the World. No doubt in the recent past but it's cooled off considerably. I was told that it was so much more tranquil because all the Major Criminals had died over the past 3 years. Eh could be, I do know that after arriving at their crumby airport and making my way into the Center of Town where I got a Taxi that the Hotel that I directed the driver to go to had burned down and a little later I directed him to a Restaurant that had also burned down. Sounds like things had been Hot recently. Guyana is only 830,,000 people and of course doesn't have much of an infrastructure as a result. Everybody asks about Jonestown but nobody is allowed to go to that sight and there'd be nothing to see anyway, a lot to do with it is still CIA Secrets. I liked Georgetown, I was in their Parliament but not while it was in Session, I was in St. George's Anglican Cathedral, one of the largest Wooden Structures in the World, I was in their National Museum and saw and touched the Printing Press that had printed the Rarest Stamp in the World, the 1856 one-cent Black on Magenta British Guiana. Like many of you as a Child I had a Stamp Collection. In these 3rd World Places you don't need a Prescription to get Medicine and I bought Mefliquine anti-Malarial which is the Preferred for that part of the World, just a buck a pill, in the States I'd be gouged for the same thing. The People as in T and T are mostly Black with an Indian Minority. At this juncture I might Comment on the Deportation of John Demjanjuk to Germany to face 29,000 Counts of Murder. Demjanjuk was a Dime a Dozen Guard of Whom there is no evidence of him hurting anybody, There were Tens of Thousands of These and hardly any have faced Prosecution. Evil People are Determined to Get Their Pound of Flesh from this Poor Old Man who has been Persecuted Himself-----And They're Gonna Get It.

I ate Watermelon on Memorial Day as always but for the past several years all one can get is Seedless and to me eating Watermelon and Spittin' Seeds goes hand in hand. A lot of this Show of Patriotism since 9-11 is New-Found, it wasn't in Evidence before that. On March 11 I flew Las Vegas to Miami to Port of Spain, Trinidad, my 100th Country. Trinidad and Tobago is a country of 1.3 Million with a Beautiful, New Airport, the most developed of the Caribbean Countries. It's total area is say, 45 x 45 Miles and about all of that is Trinidad with little Tobago 60 Miles Away. Formerly British, they speak English, Mon, and the People are Mostly Black with a sizeable India Minority. By reputation it's a rough place full of Criminals, maybe recently but not now, just take normal precautions, I found the People to be All Right. Their Stadium is named Ato Boldon after their great Olympic Sprinter. Walking around in Port of Spain was a lot of fun. I was walking down the street and a Passerby said "England," the Sun Never Sets on the British Empire as is evidenced by Myself. One of Queen Victoria's titles was "Empress of India," even though she had never been there. I went to a beach 15 miles outside of town to swim but I noticed a chemical plant, Alcoa, Bauxite, in the near Distance. I Commented to White People getting out of the Water, I hope that you don't grow another leg. I didn't swim. I went up and down the length of Trinidad on both sides on the City Bus. I went to their 2nd City, San Fernando, and looked around, quite nice. I went to "Pitch Lake" where the Entirety of the World's Asphalt comes from. Just South of San Fernando, it's only 95 Acres and maybe 300 feet deep. It used to be much bigger but there's still supposed to be enough Pitch for the Next 400 years. I toured it with 4 other People and our guide was "Lindsay," who has done this almost all his life. A 45 Minute Tour where Lindsay walked us across the Lake knowing the firm parts where we won't sink in. There's healthful water on the Lake and people were splashing it on themselves. Lindsay looked much younger than his 58 years. There's a few other places where Pitch can be found but their's is Inferior, this is where the World's Asphalt comes from and Port of Spain was the first City in the World to have Paved Streets (1810). I took the Ferry to Scarborough, Tobago, 3 Hours away and thought it to be as beautiful as Trinidad (the English had governed Trinidad and Tobago as a Single Entity and so it has Continued).

good talk

Greetings my little emptyheads, I see that after 90 Blogs I still have no official Followers even though I'm widely read, you're Shy. We got our Flag from my Uncle's Casket. Actually it was my Great-Uncle, my Mother's Uncle, who was with the Americans in France in WW I and was Mustard-Gassed (Poison Gas), he didn't die immediately but it shortened his life and he died in his early 40's a few years before I was born. I've been to the grave of Ernie Pyle at Punchbowl in Hawaii, the War Correspondent much beloved by the GI's who was killed by Japanese machine-gun fire on le Shima. I've been to the grave of Sonny Liston, Heavyweight Boxing Champion in the early 60's. "Sports Illustrated" ran a long story about Sonny Liston twice years ago and in it he was asked the source of all the scars on his back and he replied, "Bad Dealings with my Father." My Father used to give me a hard beating with a Belt about every 6 Weeks from ages 4 to 16 and I empathized with Sonny Liston. I went to "Paradise Memorial Gardens" 15 years ago I put a Red Rose and a White Rose on his Grave. Indeed, a psychologist could do much with Charles Liston competing in this most punishing of Sports under the Sobriquet of "Sonny." Recently I had authorized 16 Masses to be said for 4 people, Four apiece for my Grandmother, Younger Brother Tom and 2 other people who I found worthy and one was a Filipino and the other was an American Black, the 2nd time that I've had Masses said for a Filipino and American Black. Both the American Blacks were Men who died by homicide at the hands of other Blacks and both were ruled Justifiable---I liked the Guys. Each Mass costs ten dollars, now who else besides me would do that for somebody? I'd like to point out that every time that my Father beat me it was for no good reason, you know that I would never do anything that was wrong and this is why I don't miss my Father at all, in fact.....

good talk

You guys are tough, you can take it. Alexander Lebed distinguished himself as the Russian Commander of the Tula Paratroop Division during the War in Afghanistan. A big, beefy guy who had been one of the Russians' Heavyweight Boxers, the Russians often preferred guys as their Generals who looked like they could leap in and start doing it themselves. During the attempted Communist Coup of 1991 the 3-Star General Lebed was ordered to use tanks against the Government of Mikhail Gorbachev, he refused. No admirer of Communism, his own father had been thrown in jail for being Late to Work. In reference to the Communists' lip service to Everybody being Equal to Everybody Else, Lebed said, "It's Ridiculous to say that a Corporal is Equal to a General." Resigning from the Army Lebed ran for the Presidency of Russia in 1996, held in wide Public Esteem and thought to be Uncorruptible in Contrast to about Everybody Else, Lebed finished third with 14.5% of the Vote. In the Run-Off 2 weeks later between the incumbent Boris Yeltsin and the Communist Gennady Zyuganov, Lebed threw his support behind Yeltsin gaining him the Presidency. But later that year Lebed and Yeltsin had a falling out resulting in Lebed deriding Yeltsin as "A Sick Old Man," and saying of the Presidency of Russia, "I will have it." Unusually Prescient, a Year before the Russian Stock Market Crash, Lebed said, "There's supposed to be forty million Stock-Holders in Russia, in Reality there's forty million Fools." In 1998 Lebed was Elected as the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the 2nd largest Russian Province, as he bided his time. On April 28, 2002 Alexander Lebed was killed in a Helicopter Crash, he was "52." As soon as I Heard that Lebed had been killed and how he had died I knew that he had been Murdered. Alexander Ivanovich was a Good Man and the World Can Use More of Those.

good talk

Scratch what I said about Erin, you just can't be nice to some people including all of you, Finito Benito. The day before my Wallet was temporarily taken I checked into a modest hotel in Panama City and had a conversation with a couple of Protestant Ministers who were Missionaries there. One was a young White Guy and the other was an older Black Guy. I was in my room for an hour and I heard a knock on the door and they asked me if I wanted to go to dinner with them. So we did and when the Check arrived the older Black Guy said that he had just gotten a check and that he would cover it, so that was quite nice. The next day before I went to see the Miraflores Lock I gave the Black Missionary a ten dollar bill for their Ministry (it doesn't sound too generous to me either) and he got all excited by it and was praying over it, easily pleased it was just a Sawbuck. I think that's what saved my wallet, how often is a thief going to run in between 2 Undercover Detectives ? With all the Sin there is there it'd be a Gold Mine for a Missionary. I eventually did take the bus to the Lock that day and saw the Workings of the Panama Canal, they give you a brief lecture on what's going on and then you go outside and you can see the Ships passing through. We acquired the Virgin Islands in 1917 specifically to protect the Panama Canal. Our lease ran out several years ago but it's been business as usual, the Canal can't handle the biggest of today's ships but it does all right. Eh, all tapped out, you people wear me out.
