good talk

Hopefully LeBron's nose heals quickly and that it wasn't intentional.  Before LeBron's senior year at St. V's he was playing in a Summer League in Chicago against a team of bad White Guys whom they had doubled the score and one undercut LeBron and he broke his wrist, Michael Jordan recommended a Specialist.  The "Akron Beacon Journal" was unsympathetic saying if you didn't want to risk the wild and woolly Summer Leagues you shouldn't go there.  Krauthammer gave a good argument that today's so-called Scientific Experts engage in "Settled Science" where a "Scientific Conclusion" is somehow reached and doggedly defended despite ample evidence that this Conclusion is in error.  The "Scientific Method" is to be totally open-minded leading to the results that are the best at that moment.

Should I discontinue my Blog you Readers would shrivel-up and evaporate like the Wicked Witch of the West, Noblesse Oblige.  Please read John L. Smith's column in the Feb. 23, 2014 "Las Vegas Review-Journal" on the 35 mo. Federal Prison Sentence recently given to 84 year-old Sister Megan Rice....Give Me Strength....  Tara is uninterested, c'est la vie...  When I was in college I had a friend whose favorite saying seemed to be....That's Life in the Big City....

good talk

Seeing Tara on TV this morning aroused me so much that I left out "saw," now that my Romance with McKayla is passe you TV Folk can put in a good word for me, I'm sure that Tara would like me, I'm counting on you.  I don't think I've opened-up Facebook to the Public, that is anybody who'd like to chat with me, I'm gonna call Scott on this, he's worldly.

I took the Ferry to Holyhead and the bus to London, I stashed my bag at the bus station and went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, I had never been there.  The place is huge, 4 and a half mil items, the largest museum in the World for Decorative Arts and Design.  Opened by Queen Victoria in 1857, only acquired its current name in 1899.  It has everything, furniture, sculpture, paintings, glass-ceramics, jewelry---from all over the world.  Close by in S. Kensington is the Natural History Museum, which I had also never been to, both like all the London Museums are free and I wish I had visited previously.  Opened in 1881 it has 70 mil items of a vast range.  They have the 10 ton skeleton of a Blue Whale, now dig this, at 100 feet and 190 tons the Blue Whale is the largest animal to ever live on Earth (I sure didn't know that).  The tongue alone weighs 3 tons, currently there's 5-12 thou Blue Whales in the Oceans.  The Blue Whale skeleton was kept in storage for 42 years as they had no space to exhibit it.  I certainly enjoyed my 8 hour day at these 2 wonderful museums.  Around 8 P.M. I took the Underground out to Heathrow where I spent the night sleeping in a chair awaiting my morning flight to the U.S., I don't race out to the airport as I'm already there and I ask you, My Friends, how much did this cost me.  Hopefully you enjoyed reading of my Trip, Travel is exciting and astonishing.

good talk

I just Tara Lipinski on TV commenting on Figure-Skating, she looked pretty good, big blue eyes, a golden-girl.  They were talking on TV about John Scopes' Trial in Dayton, Tenn. in 1925 for teaching Evolution in a Public School (Well I'll be a Monkey's Uncle).  I was just reading that almost half the people in the U.S. don't believe in Evolution that they think along the lines that the Earth was created 6000 years ago and that Man was walking around with Dinosaurs, this foolishness isn't indicative of a long-continuing Country but the Scopes Trial was 89 years ago, maybe Ignorance is Bliss...He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind....

I've been to Damascus (set all their food on fire) and you wouldn't want to be there over the past few years.  I was waiting for a bus on the frontier to cross from Turkey to Syria, I asked the guy next to me if he had anything to open my water bottle and he reached for his sportscoat inside pocket and pulled out a long knife that he had blade down, he was a dangerous-looking guy to put it mildly.  And I was just in Kiev this past May (See my Blogs of Sept. 19 and Sept. 26) and saw beautiful sights and it pains me what we're seeing on TV.  Vitali Klitschko likes to fight and he's up to his ears, Vitali's pro-West and anti-Corruption Views I'm sure are best.  West Virginia has the best State Motto .....Montani Semper Liberi....  .....Mountaineers Stay Free....

I think I'm on Facebook now, if I did it right, if it's good enough for a billion people I should give it a try.  If you want to chew the fat about Telepathy or whatever, let me know.  If I haven't done it correctly I will in the near future, every journey has a first step  -Ed

A lot of the people living in the U.S. have no idea which Presidents the day is for.  So Roger Goodell, Mr. Macho, has a gay brother, his predecessor, Paul Tagliabue, of his 2 children his son is gay, I don't know about these NFL Commissioners, I've never heard of anybody like that in my extended family.  These people don't become this way it's in their genetic make-up.  Back in Ohio I was working at this place and there was this 18-year old Kid working there for the Summer.  And he told me that this fellow about my age who also worked there had been telling him how much he liked the way he looked, he said to this boy that seeing the hair on his chest rising in a tuft above the top-button of his shirt really turned-him-on and excited him.  This young fellow told me how this older guy's saying this to him made him feel really bad, he said that it really bothered him. I told the gay guy that this Kid had a Brown Belt in Karate and was working on his Black Belt and that he tried to keep this to himself (the Truth) and Schaffer got all-nervous.  I thought Schaffer was a pretty good guy in general but you should be careful what you say to people.

Jacob "Baby Jake" Matlala died at "51" on Dec.7 from a lung condition. considered perhaps South Africa's best-ever boxer (see my Blog of Aug. 4, 2010), Baby Jake passed just 2 days after one of his biggest fans, Nelson Mandela, himself a former boxer.  Baby Jake held World Titles at 108 and 112 lbs., very well-liked he'll be missed.  A lot of the newly arrived Residents of the United States and their offspring over the past 35 years look like they take Ugly Pills, you gotta look at them.  For sure this Country is dropping like a rock.  If you pay $85 you can now bypass a lot of the Security Measures at the Airport.  Somebody could pay the fee and pass the Check and then become radicalized, or they could already be radicalized and do this.  To be safe you have to have the same Safeguards for all.  More Nuttiness in this probably short-lived Country.  People's brains have gotten so weak that they should stop thinking altogether and just listen to the Wise Old Ed.

I was so good to that girl, no man could have done more.

good talk

I self-adjusted this morning, it takes 15 minutes well-worth as it's very relaxing, I slept like a log last night.  If I Xeroxed any of the pages of the illustrated notebook that Joshua gave us he'd throw an injunction on my back but person-to-person I can show anyone and quickly.  It's actually all of the local TV Stations (NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX) that feature printed advertising by sleazy personal-injury lawyers (Sue your Neighbor, this is why everything costs so much) on the screen of their Telecasts here in Las Vegas.  Some people have no pride.  The only Olympics I've been to was the Salt Lake Winter Olympics in 2002 (see my very good Blogs of Jan.13 and Jan. 14, 2009).  I have a couple friends who have been to the Superbowl, I'd like to do that, I like excitement all the time, I sure don't get it, nonetheless.  The TV Media is afraid of me (?), they're afraid of their own shadows.  And they're Green with Envy, who wouldn't want to be able to place their thoughts inside of people's minds, and I can do it with Movie Stars who've been dead for 50 years.  I don't like to talk about myself, but I'm the most talented person who has ever been born.

good talk

On this, the day before Valentine's Day, I was thinking that McKayla and I could have been married, had a little family and we'd all be real nice to each other, it would have been pretty good.

good talk

This past Sat. I went Joshua's (see my Blog, Dec. 3, 2012) all-day Seminar on how to Self-Adjust, that is to give yourself Chiropractic Treatments, friendship and $200 got me in, there were 44 there (2 hours into it Josh threw out a friend of his who hadn't come up with the tuition, you gotta pay the freight).   Joshua has treated George Clooney, Celine Dion, he's very highly respected, there were people there from Canada, there were a couple dentists trying to learn Natural Methods of Relaxation, there were a lot of accomplished people.  My adjustment partner was a Police Lt. who is trying to cope with the maladies he's acquired from wrestling with the Public, Tommy is all right.  Joshua is a real leader and he led us through everything excellently, during the 8 hours you absorbed these really basic techniques and got a lot of practice with your partner and others, I'm very happy with what I learned there and have been applying it since.  When I was in the Gym yesterday where they have all these mirrors I saw that my Walk was a lot straighter than it had been and I feel more relaxed.  Josh only does this one day a year in Las Vegas but he'll be doing it for a day in March in Dallas, I can tell that a lot of my Readers are interested, leave a Comment and I'll try to use my influence on your behalf.

During the Shoot-around before the game when Rick Mount was playing for the Indiana Pacers at the Kentucky Colonels (I saw the Colonels play the Oakland Oaks), all at once Rick announced--the Rim is Off, it was a quarter-inch less than 10 feet.  This drought that California is in that it doesn't seem able to escape is due for the most part to Overpopulation, there's twice as many people in Ca. than in the early 80's.  There's all these Illegal Aliens and their offspring as well as all these Legal Immigrants, the available water is being used for too many people.  The TV Media (the Happy Clowns) instead of warning us of this growing danger instead tries to feed us Mindless Pap that only a Fool would be interested in.  Better belly-up to the Buffet Table while you can, in the Future you could well find this to be difficult.

good talk

Las Vegas has a confusing street grid west of the Strip.  Many of their main roads are rutted such that you could see losing a wheel should you become engulfed.  Las Vegas like San Diego has allowed the taxpayers money to be used not for infrastructure but for public employees' salaries and pensions.  The nutty mindset prevalent in this Country has being gay as some great thing.  I don't see it that way, just think of the Bohemian things these people do with each other, I think of them as being unfortunate and their actions not to be emulated.  I'm certainly never doing any of this.  Ralph Kiner just died at "91."  Ralph led the National League in Home Runs 7 years in a row, tied 2 of these.  I used to be friends with Loren Kiner (said their last name in German meant "Barrelmaker"), Ralph's nephew, and they were close, Loren handled Ralph's memorabilia for him, a good and honest businessman, Loren was a blessing as he had the old guy's best interests at heart.  Loren said that Ralph's ex-wife had sold a major collectable of his without Ralph's knowledge or consent and that once the buyer learned of this he returned it to Ralph asking for no money back, saying.....I've heard that you shouldn't have something that doesn't belong to you....

good talk

I've been to Ireland thrice and the 2nd time I exited a supermarket in Dublin, once I had gotten 15 yards down the sidewalk I saw a nondescript brown object in my path.  I had no idea what it could be, I nudged it with my foot and then picked it up.  It was a purse and inside there were maybe 150 U.S. in Irish bills and maybe 100 coins of various worth as well as a few credit cards.  I went back inside the supermarket and asked a cashier for the manager, I looked up and a security guard was approaching me from a couple aisles away knowing my purpose.  He was a very tall, probably 6'6", clean-cut looking guy.  He looked through the purse....I'll need your name....You don't get my name (Somebody could say I had l0 thou Irish Pounds in there)....Okay... From the way I spoke the cashier and guard could tell that I was an American (I don't talk like a Canadian don't act like one either), it makes us look good,  I like 'em but a lot of the Micks finding this wouldn't be turning in any money.

good talk

The Republic of Ireland dates from 1937, there's 6.4 mil with 1.8 mil in N. Ireland.  The Tudor Conquest was begun by Henry VIII who was declared King of England and Ireland in 1530.  The Acts of Union in 1800 created the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, ever since Henry there's been constant fomentation between the Irish and English until just recently. On April 24, 1916, Easter Monday, the Easter Uprising began lasting until April 29, a feeble attempt to take Ireland from English control the 7 leaders were tried and executed 3-4 weeks later in the courtyard of Kilmainham Gaol (today an excellent museum I've visited) with the Uprising's Military Leader James Connolly due to his wounds being put in front of the firing squad in a chair.  The Centre of the Uprising was the Post Office on what is now Connolly St. and you can see bullet scars on the pillars. The Irish War of Independence began in 1919 ending with the creation of the Irish Free State in 1922 from which N. Ireland immediately opted out. The Irish Free State ended in 1937 with the establishment of the Republic of Ireland which was known as Eire until 1949.  Go down to Cork and you can hear old guys talking Gaelic as you pass on the street.  Dublin was founded by the Vikings in 841, it has 525 thou.  I always go to Trinity College where you can see the Book of Kells, they often change the 2 pages shown, a beautifully-illustrated manuscript drawn by the Monks of St. Columba  on the island of Iona around 840 A.D.  Taken to the mainland in the nick of time as soon thereafter Vikings landed and looted the Monastery slaughtering all the Monks.  From watching the History Channel if you owed a Viking money and didn't pay him he'd slit your nostril, where the saying To Pay Through the Nose come from.  It was only Christianity that civilized the Vikings, they were rough people.  I always go to the fantastic Archeological Museum where you can see the exquisite "Tara Brooch" one of 50 on display as well as other treasures.  I went to the National Gallery and saw some fine paintings and went to their Natural History Museum, an old-style set-up in an old building it was quite extensive and I liked it a lot.  I was in their 2 main Churches, what were they, St. John's and St. Patrick's?  Not as you'd think Catholic both were Anglican as the English had controlled Dublin for a long time.

good talk.

.Kevin Durant said in S.I. that Stephen Curry was "The best shooter ever," what does he know about it.  Nate Thurmond made an appearance at a dept. store in Akron and my younger brother, Tom, asked him who was the best shooter in the NBA...Without a doubt, Jerry West...A few years ago in S.I. they were asking long-time G.M.'s who was the best shooter they had ever seen and over half said--Rick Mount.  When I was at Ohio State I saw the Bucks play Purdue, P. won, and Rick (the Rocket) Mount's first 2 steps and wrist-flick were so quick.  Sat. I watched Lawrence Welk and they played Glenn Miller's "In the Mood," that Big Band sound.  Major Alton Glenn Miller died in the War.  The only Black person on Lawrence Welk including the audience was the tap dancer, they couldn't get away with that today.  Amanda Knox was found Guilty in Absentia in Italy, a Kangaroo Court (see my Blog of Oct. 27, 2013).  It seems like according to the Extradition Treaty between the U.S. and Italy that the U.S. is going to have to speedily surrender Amanda to these Swine.  Some guys have a Sir Galahad Complex and try to pose as somebody who would Rescue Damsels in Distress, I'm not like that, I figure these women can fend for themselves.  But this is so egregious a Miscarriage of Justice that I think all right-thinking Americans should band together and Save Amanda.  It's unfortunate that McKayla and I ever met, even though we've never met in the usual sense.  Perfect Baby was high-flying and for the past year and a half all I've done is make her unhappy.  I don't feel guilty at all but it's too bad.  I asked her to marry me and she didn't move on it, I did the best anyone could do.  The TV Media has always Evilly aroused the Public against me and might in this instance as McKayla is certainly a highly-esteemed person, well, I have 2 broad feet and can stand a lot.
