I just read Dorothy Fuldheim's Wiki as I enjoyed her TV Show for many years back in Ohio. Lived to be "96" and was a spicy old gal, she was very smart and I enjoyed her book reviews. In the "Cleveland Plain Dealer" it had said that in 1930 she had a half-hour interview with Adolf Hitler as she was Jewish I wonder if they had their facts straight, you find out. These dumb wars have bankrupted this country, recently Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to Marine 1st Sergeant Leroy Petry who lost a hand acquiring it, for sure Leroy would much rather have his hand than this dumb medal. You people are out to lunch all this is your faults. It was Bush who started this debacle by saying that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction even though it was found to be untrue this debacle rolls on almost 10 years later. A friend of mine who was a Navy Vet noted that Bush's daughters have been of enlistment age throughout these wars so why hasn't he had them go there since he thinks everybody else's children should. He would have said that the better people (them?) had better things to do. My friend then said what their duties might entail (those sailors). You American TV Media have things that you've concealed ffrom the American People, Kelly, me and no doubt other secrets, aren't you worried that in light of Rupert Murdoch that your own time is nigh. Recently I donated blood in Las Vegas for the 26th time and it would have been many more over the past 16 years except I'd often be flagged for high blood pressure. By using the deep breathing from Yoga I now qualify every time. They consider me to have Rare Blood and cut my pint 6 ways and give it to Preemies, the Preemies are never going to do anything for me if you can do something for somebody you should just pitch in and do it. You might not know what I'm talking about.

The internet current at the La Jolla Library keeps on wiping out sections of my Blog, I go to a lot of trouble for my little noodniks. I've been to Graceland and to Elvis' birthplace at his parents' 2-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis' twin brother Jesse was stillborn and is buried in Tupelo. About 15 years ago I was on a bus going from Turkey to Damascus, Syria and was talking to a young Syrian guy who spoke good English, his sister didn't speak English at all and was sitting in the seat in front of us, for some reason I brought up Elvis Presley and suddenly she turned around and stared at me. Elvis had a fascination with police work and everyone in his entourage including that doctor who gave him all those pills had to take a course in law enforcement. On July 6, 2001 Elvis' 2nd Cousin Harold Ray Presley the Sheriff of Lee County, Mississippi for those past 8 years along with his deputies was manning a routine police roadblock when a suspect wanted for kidnapping saw the roadblock and fled crashing his car and then fleeing on foot a little past midnight. At 5 A.M. a homeowner called the Sheriff to say that his dogs were barking and Sheriff Presley and deputies responded. Sheriff Presley pushed open a shed door and the suspect began firing, Sheriff Presley pushed away a deputy who by all accounts would have otherwise been shot and was himself struck several times, although mortally wounded the dying Sheriff Presley returned fire killing the suspect.

Union Station has a museum and during WWII half the GI's in the country passed through Kansas City, outside of Union Station on June 17, 1933 4 lawmen were slain in an attempt to free Frank "Jelly" Nash who was being escorted to Leavenworth, Nash himself was gunned down in the confusion this became known as "the Kansas City Massacre." I was very disappointed in the Hallmark doesn't have its tour on Sundays and Mondays. I went to the Kansas City Library to read SI and was told that I'd need a library card so I gave them some jive address and they gave me one, a real nice old building with a deli and salad bar inside the library. I went to SeaWorld San Diego as I've been thinking about it for the past year. They've papered the area with $20 off coupons as their business was off 9.5% in 2010 from the year before, all these other parks in Southern California like Disneyland increased their business. It cost $50 and was well worth whatever they would charge, it was really good. I was at SeaWorld in Aurora outside of Cleveland long ago and had been to SeaWorld San Diego in 1979 when it cost $8 and parking was free instead of $14 today but it's much better now, I was there 9 hours and saw and did everything.

I just saw part of "A Few Good Men" on TV, not a very good movie but was well worth the price of admission on the big screen to see the Marines' Dismounted Drill actually the Texas A&M Drill Team. John Calvin Coolidge was the only President born on the 4th of July. Say what you will about the rampant stock speculation during his tenure leading to the Depression, Coolidge during his terms, August 2, 1923 to March 4, 1929, cut the National Debt by a quarter by reducing Federal Expenditures and cutting taxes and also signed the Immigration Act of 1924. Article 14-----All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States. This part of the Constitution obviously would mean that the offspring of illegal aliens as well as any subsequent generations of these offspring would not amongst other things be Citizens of the United States, to maintain these criminals in this country is really bad you've run this country into the ground. Calvin Jr., "16," died in 1924 from an infected tennis blister and Calvin Sr. served his elected term in great sorrow (antibiotics didn't come in until the 30's, the greatest medical breakthrough of the past century or 2C) saying When he died the power and glory of the Presidency went with him. In Little Rock I went to the very good Clinton Presidential Library, I went to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame which I enjoyed very much, went to the "Arkansas Territorial Restoration" which depicts life in frontier Arkansas and I saw 2 blacksmiths hammering out a Bowie Knife, I had never seen blacksmiths smithing away and found it fascinating. There's many versions of the Bowie Knife, "Arkansas Toothpick," which gained reknown along with Jim Bowie when he used one to kill 2 men in the same fight. I had already been to the Arkansas State Capitol, it was Saturday and it closed at 2 and there wouldn't have been anybody there anyway. Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis was the lst Commissioner of Baseball, 1920 until he died in office November 25, 1944. His father was in the Union Army in the Civil War and lost a leg at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, 2 spellings, in Georgia in 1864 and named his son born in 1866 for what he had lost. A former Federal Judge, Landis was brought in to rule Baseball with an iron hand after the Black Sox Scandal of 1919 when the Chicago White Sox threw the World Series to the Cincinnati Reds. Brought on in large part due their treatment by the owner Charles Comiskey a notorious cheapskate the scene depicted in the movie "Eight Men Out" was accurately portrayed. Star Pitcher Eddie Cicotte comes in after the 1919 Season to speak with Charles Comiskey, Cicotte is wearing a suit and takes off his straw hat in the presence of the seated Comiskey......You promised me a 10 thousand dollar bonus if I won 30 games, I won 29 and you held me out of my last 2 starts for sure I would have won one of those........Eddie, 29 is not 30.......
