By the End of His First Year With the Colts He had Gambled Away his Bonus and Was 700 thousand in Debt. Schlichter's Career Was Over by 1985, In a 2007 Interview Art Said that he Had Stolen at least 1.5 Million by Conning Friends and Whomever Else he Could, He Served 10 Years in Jail and Prison from 1995 to 2006. Now "50" Art Schlichter Lives on His Family's 450 Acre Grain Farm in Washington Court House, Ohio. The Pressure of Living Up to Everybody's Opinion and Expectations of Him Led Him to Give Vent to This Disease. While Still at Ohio State Art Schlichter Had A Biography in Tribute to Him, "Straight Arrow."
