good talk.

I was watching "Doctor Zhivago" on TCM yesterday, Geraldine Chaplin sure was fine, her Dad was a really good serious actor.  Montecore, the white Bengal Tiger who mauled Roy Horn on Oct. 3, 2003 has passed away at "17" (see my Blog of Oct. 3, 2013).  If you've been loved that much you're very fortunate.  Experts tell us that this was a tiger's classic "kill" move, Roy loved his kitty nonetheless.  The White Tigers can't exist in the Wild as they don't blend in with the surroundings, they're all in-bred and prone to genetic organ damage and/or having a screw loose.  Rest in Peace, Kitty.  Friday night I saw UNLV play San Diego State with the Rebel's Erick Fedde (fed-day) pitching.  A 6'4" 180 lb. right-hander, Erick is a 20-year old junior who is predicted to go in the 1st Round of the coming Baseball Draft, that is in line to get maybe a couple mil bonus.  All the rest of the guys in this game have no money and their status will continue.  I was expecting a skinny guy, but no, Erick is broad-shouldered and looks big out there, he's all-frame, often-time a meaty body will hinder one's movement.  UNLV won with Erick sizzling through 9 innings throwing 122 pitches going "96" in the 9th.  The Guru, Tim Chambers, who handled Bryce Harper so well 3 and 4 years ago, allowed Erick to stay in after the 7th even though he wanted to take him out, maybe all that work will build up his arm or something.  The Aztecs walked in 3 runs in one innings giving UNLV the victory,  I had never seen that.  Sometimes a team, and possibly Tony Gwynn's, will benefit greatly from the current players leaving.
