good talk

I wonder if Natalie gets a 2-week vacation, she must.  In the early 1970's the biggest groups in Rock played the Akron Rubber Bowl (a WPA project from the 30's), 40 thou of unobstructed and close seating, best stadium in Ohio for this.  Every big group played the Rubber Bowl, the Rolling Stones.  But when Jefferson Airplane played before a packed-house, after 45 minutes, singer Gracie Slick was so worked-up that she exhorted the Crowd to attack the Akron Police that were there, ha.  The City Fathers pulled the plug, and Akron's fame as a Rock Concert Venue was over.  Later, in retirement, police were called to Gracie's house, and she emerged with a loaded-gun which she leveled at them, due to her being a celebrity the police showed great-restraint in not gunning-her-down.  I'm sure a nice lady once you get to know her, Gracie, perhaps surprisingly, turns "76" on Fri.  Halloween is one of our best customs, and I always enjoyed going out trick or treating, now, I want as many trick or treaters as I can get, and I give a good bar.  Years ago, Texas executed a father who had blamed poisoned-candy when they went trick or treating for the deaths of his 2 children, when really he had been the one who had poisoned them for the life insurance money.  The other inmates called him the Candyman
