good talk

I was just thinking of Bill Martin, a Geography prof at Slippery Rock State U. in Pa., with whom I palled-around with in Budapest for 3 days, the spring of 1987, having met him at the train-station.  I stayed at the Hotel Park while he went the real-economy route and was staying at somebody's house, he had humorous stories about it (there was a woman, and these 2 guys came-in).  Bill is 10 years older, he's a jolly good fellow and I hope he's doing real well.  There was a story in the newspaper about what I'd been thinking, that with fire-retardant materials and sprinklers, that there weren't that many fires today to justify all these firefighters (Fred S. McChesney to the Washington Post, in the L.V.R.J. on Sept 27, 2015).  Pretty soon a drone is going to kill somebody or a lot when it brings down a plane.  That old guy in Fla. who shot that poor fellow to death after goading him to throw popcorn at him in a movie theater, has been out on bail, he should be put-away forever.  There's 350 mil in the U.S., every so often some malcontent is going to smoke a bunch of people, what of it, this move towards greater gun-control is to make it even more of a Police State than it is already.  There's more unregistered-guns in this country than registered, you can always get a gun.  I want to have good taste, like Charlie the Tuna
