good talk

I saw Luis Ortiz of Cuba fight at the Hard Rock, a year and a half ago, and now he's the 5th-ranked Heavyweight.  I saw UNLV play UCLA last season, and Myles Jack was returning kickoffs, altho 245 lbs.  His season was cut-short by a meniscus-injury, but he's one of the best-prospects in the upcoming-draft.  Josh Rosen will be good, and the little-boy can really sell a throw for a run, with his all-out fake (as every good salesman knows, you don't sell the steak, you sell the gristle).  I saw San Diego State beat Utah State, and Nevada-Reno beat U. of New Mexico in the Mountain West Tournament, a delightful afternoon, both were close, in the first 8 points were scored in the last 10 seconds.  I saw UNLV badly-beaten by the U. of W. Virginia, of all people, in baseball.  One of UNLV's relief pitchers was Chase Maddux, a freshman, whose Dad is Greg Maddux, and Uncle is Mike Maddux (no slouch himself, pitched in the Majors for 15 years, and is amongst the most-respected of pitching coaches).  Chase is 6'2" but weighs only 140 lbs (what, they gave this boy no food?)   Joshua took the stitches out of my back in the locker-room, that was quite nice (the VA initially said that I should return to San Diego for this (?), but upon request they'll give you a little-packet with curved-scissors and tweezers, cost them like a quarter, Josh asked if he could have the scissors as he has to do this every so often, and these were good for this (chiropractors learn how to do minor operations).  Hey, as you've surmised, that gym's a swinging-place, sure there was that one guy who was chasing the other guy around with a 6-inch blade, but that was 2 years (he wasn't immediately expelled, you'd still see him in there, ha, ha), let me know when you'll be in town, and I'll use my influence to get you a 3-day Pass
