good talk

See My Blog for Nov. 9, 2014.  Chalk for last week's Breeders' Cup Classic were Gun Runner and Arrogate, both 4-year olds going-off at 2-1.  Arrogate was Horse of the Year last year, and won this past Dubai Cup over Gun Runner, but in the 2017 BC "Classic", tho he was ridden by the great Mike Smith, the best he could do was a dead-heat for 5th, regarded as a horse who's lost his focus, he's been retired as the all-time leading North American Money Winner.  Out at the track last Sat., all-day I only saw maybe 3 Black people, you'd think they'd take an interest, me, I love horses, I wish I had a horsey here right-now, I've got a bag of apples, he/she could have all he wanted.  I watched the 1986 Kentucky Derby at a Sportsbook on the LV Strip, seeing Willie Shoemaker's masterful-trip in taking Ferdinand thru an "invisible hole" to secure the lead and victory, even in replay, I don't know how they got thru the pack, I saw no opening.  And in 1987, Ferdinand won the Breeders' Cup.  When I learned, that in 2002, Ferdinand had been killed in a Japanese Slaughterhouse for pet food, it went all the way thru me.  A former groom ...He was so gentle... He'd come over to me and press his head against me. He was so sweet...
