good talk
Harrison Dillard was on the U.S. Olympic Team that competed in London in 1948. There, Harrison won the 100 meter-dash and also was on the winning U.S. 4x100 meter-relay team. In 1952, Harrison was also on the U.S. Olympic Team that competed in Helsinki, and there he won the 110 meter-hurdles, and again was on the winning U.S. 4x100 meter-relay team, for a total of 4 Olympic Gold Medals, the only man to win an Olympic Gold Medal in both running and hurdling. Harrison is still with us and will be "93" in July. Both he and Jesse Owens are grads of Cleveland East Tech High School, the Scarabs (the sacred beetle associated with Creator God, Atum, actually a dung-beetle, I've brought back from Egypt real-nice alabaster Scarabs with their names etched on them). Jesse might not have liked the segregated-America that he lived-in, but during the ticker-tape Parade in Manhattan held in his honor, someone rushed-up and shoved a paper-bag in Jesse's hands, inside was 10,000 dollars in cash, a fortune in 1936, Jesse wisely kept this occurrence to himself, we can assume that Jesse liked-that. One of Jesse's daughters was Ohio State's Homecoming Queen. "Race" was quite a good-movie, saw it yesterday at the Palms. This is my 1000th Blog
