good talk

Theodore VanKirk, the navigator and last surviving member of the Enola Gay, the B-29 which dropped the first Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, recently passed away at "93."  It was said that the crew was guilt-ridden, the pilot, Paul Tibbets returned to base, ate, had 2 beers and went to sleep, Paul rose to Brigadier General and passed away at "92."  These guys were real guilt-ridden.  Enola Gay was Paul's mother (See My Blog for August 8, 2009).  Lawrence Kudlow is right, don't tax U.S. Corporations on earnings in foreign countries, lower the domestic taxes and bring them home, it's that simple.  You can have taxes so high that it's hard to get anybody to do much of anything, have reasonable taxes.  About 40 years ago some Old American Guy won the Irish SweepStakes.  The Federal Govt. said you must pay us taxes on this, the Old Guy said that since his winnings were in a foreign country U.S. taxes weren't applicable.  He had thought he was going to enjoy his windfall enhancing his Golden Years, instead he was put in a Federal Penitentuary for Income Tax Evasion.  The Swine let him out after 4 years saying that he wasn't going to pay them anything on it and that further incarceration would serve no purpose.
